Calamari
Japhe J.

I had an amazing time!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside looks lovely and there's even a nice outdoor patio, with a fire pit![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server we had was amazing, she gave great food and drink recommendations! The calamari was pretty tasty! I usually don't order salads as a main dish but the salad was soo good and filling!

Gluten free Pesto chicken pasta

Just when I thought 5th and Wine was perfect, they totally outdid themselves by offering this amazing gluten free option on their chicken pesto pasta!! As always the service was excellent, quick and efficient and Tara was ahead of the game but offering the gluten free option! The outdoor space is secluded, plenty of full shade or sunshine for whatever serves you best! And the music is always on point! Make sure your week includes a stop at 5th and Wine

Super dry butter cake with lemon curd

5th and Wine is a cool vibe in an odd town, but there are hits and misses here. The restaurant has an adjoining wine store, so there are lots of choices. The options in the restaurant were also fairly priced. The decor is very cool - high ceilings make for a spacious feel with bistro seating. The service is friendly, warm and inviting. The food is... mixed. The mushroom garlic butter and pork bites were fantastic. The entrees were universally oversalted...beyond salty. The desserts were mostly dry. We had a nice time, because we were celebrating a milestone birthday and would not let anything get us down, but there was a lot of room for improvement.

Great service and food was excellent. Felt like I left Great Falls and was somewhere else.

Upstairs area

Absolutely loved the decor. The upstairs looks like it'd be really cute when open. Wine was amazing!!! The garlic and tomato dip was full of flavor! The lasagna was so delicious! Wish I would've made it before they changed the menu and still had a short run lasagna. Based on what I had tonight, I'm positive it was probably to die for! To top it off, the staff was excellent. I will definitely be back!

Very good food, nice atmosphere. Low key, excellent beet hummus! Easy and fun, great wine also. We would definitely go back, try it out.

A refreshing little local lunch spot. One of the only places in town where you can grab a quality meal with good ambiance.

Buttery, creamy, delicious...edamame, spinach, chickpeas and chicken. Never had linguine served like this and it is the best one I've ever had. The ribs and fried grits are a MUST TRY! The savory glaze, that gritty crunch and the fall of the bone ribs are tasty! The Montanan cocktail was an added treat, it was a perfect blend along with the carrot cake we ended our night with! Service is impeccable! The gal who managed the dining area was quick to bring waters, take our order, deliver our orders fresh. And did so while the dining area was fairly full! The vibe in this place is fun and seemed like a popular spot amongst the locals. It is kept clean and well maintained. The patio area is spacious and dog-friendly. There is a bar area but we haven't made our way into that area yet. But we definitely plan to visit again and try other menu items! If you're in town and looking for good eats, this place will not disappoint!

They've got a diverse cocktail list that are all served in mason jars. Half of the restaurant is table service and th other half you walk up and order at they bar so just depends on the vibe you are looking for. The ribs I got the first night were fall off the bone (although not really the healthiest). The second night I came back on a Thursday and it was trivia night. The place was packed. I had my heart set on a salad I had seen on the menu just two days before....but they had changed the menu! I ended up with some broccolini and chicken which was also tasty.

in Great Falls, Montana this week. We stopped into The Block for dinner. They have a laid back…read moresports bar feel with great classic rock music playing. We ordered the Tri Tip Nachos as a starter. The chips are made in house and the tri tip was on point. We ordered the "shareable" order and I think we could have shared with the entire restaurant and had leftovers!! My coworker ordered this weeks special which was the Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich with a side of this house made potato chips. She stated that the chips were better with something on them, referring to the nachos. However, she loved the sandwich! I had the Capresi Sandwich with a side salad. The Ranch dressing for the salad was a little runny but had a great taste. I loved my sandwich and they had the right balance of basil and balsamic reduction. Don't know how they cooked this without making the bread soggy with the tomatoes. Fantastic meal tonight!!

I really liked that the sandwiches and sides came in two sizes which allowed us to try a little bit of everything. The rundown on my order: Buffalo Chicken Nachos: Nachos but with chips? Genius. Loved the Buffalo Cheese sauce the chips were smothered in. Tri-Tip Grilled Cheese: A good amount of heat from the chimichurri. A good balance of meat and cheese to remind you it's a grilled cheese sandwich with beef- not the other way around. Loaded Tots: The portion of this side was huge! I got mine with everything so it was a nice, tasty, sloppy mess of a side. If you find yourself off the main drag in Great Falls, this is a must-stop for some of the best grilled cheese you'll set eyes on.
