Called to get a quote to have heater hoses replaced on 2011 Jeep Wrangler and they said they wouldn't do the job unless I bought the hoses from them. These are very hard hoses to get and I mail ordered factory OEM hoses and they still wouldn't do the job. Shame on you guys! You lost a customer forever! read more

I stopped by first thing on a Saturday to have a smog inspection performed on a car I was planning on selling that day. They pulled it in immediately and after about 5 minutes, told me it needed to be tested at a star center since the vehicle was registered out of state. They are not a star center but quickly gave me a recommendation for a nearby shop that could so what I needed. Didn't actually get repair done here, but had them do the diagnostic. Thought there was a more serious problem and that MaxCare (financing through carmax) would be needed for a more serious problem. Turned out not to be the case. Had agreed to diagnostic fee because I thought CarMax would be covering it. When this turned out to not be the case, they were very gracious and agreed to waive the fee. I had a very pleasant experience at 5th Ave. Auto. They did a really good job with break fluid replacement for my car. Also, while waited there for an hour, they took extra care to make my stay comfortable. Seeing that I was using my computer, they let me in to their conference room and allowed me to use their conference room. Their repair shop may not look great from outside, but on the inside it looks very posh and clean. The folks are very friendly. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that they called me back a couple of times to check if everything was okay with the car after the service. They seem very organized and thorough.
