I was very unsatisfied with the service last night to celebrate my birthday (I'm 20 weeks pregnant) when we came we didn't really have an assigned waiter we were sat down by the hostess with water. We began to sit for 20 min I noticed the time was passing and everyone around us was getting service and food. Not one worker acknowledged us while passing back and forth. One gentlemen in the front noticed and came up to us asking if we were served yet . We said no.. then he took our order and the food came out but not even when they gave our food they had hospitality like introducing themselves how is our day going ? What else can they get us ... we ate - the food was ok not too hot but luke warm the chicken was in strips instead of chunks... I found that weird. After we ate we sat for another 20 minutes to get the check and the same gentlemen who wasn't our waiter came to us and brought the check over. Then we told him we were unsatisfied with the service that we appreciated that the gentleman from the front kept coming to serve us. Towards the end of us leaving the workers came to us last minute asking can they get us anything but I said it was too late for that. Then I asked who was our waiter the whole time they lied and said it was the African American gentlemen that was kind to serve us ... when he was never our waiter to cover up for their messed up service to us... they said it's ok I said no it's not ok it's my Bday I came to choose to celebrate here out of all places I regret coming here . We have came here before but never again I give this ZERO stars. Don't come here. They don't have hospitality at all. Then the tip goes to the worker that wasn't acknowledging us instead of the nice guy that works at the front. Never again really upset with this service not worth the portions or the time. Ordered their chicken tikka masala with a side of naan and rice. Kept it basic because how can you mess that up, right?! This was my first time here. I heard the lunch buffet is pretty solid. I came for dinner and we brought the kids. The decor is nice and the restaurant is very spacious! The wait staff is very friendly and seem to really care. I got the lamb vindaloo, it comes in a red sauce. It was very tasty and the lamb was tender. Everything seems to come out as a stew and you can purchase some naan to scoop it all up for a delicious bite. My wife got the curry lamb. It had a very different sauce that I think tasted better. Again very stew like food but delicious. If you don't like curry don't come here. But if your like me, this is the place to be. I was very excited to discover a new Indian restaurant and this one is very close to my work. However, I felt like there are still better options available in South Florida. My favorite unique thing was the hot pan full of street food samosas with chickpeas. That was delicious. The buffet section had two sides and there were around 8 trays of hot food on each side. One side was meat options including chicken, goat and fish. The other side was mostly vegetarian options like lentil dal and cauliflower along with desserts. When we got there at 11:50 AM, it was still relatively clear, only about 3 tables. By noon it was packed. There were lines for both sides of the buffet. And the area is a little crammed so you may have to wait to get food. They're good about replenishing the food though. The butter naan ran out quickly each time I went to get it. I tried the butter chicken which was good but very limited amount of chicken in the sauce. The Paneer version of this was very tasty too. Surprisingly, their chicken spaghetti was good! Rich in flavor and spices. The lentil dal was watery but not bad. The other things were not very memorable. The gulab jamun dessert was good though! read more

I was in the mood for naan bread and 5th Element was the closest Indian restaurant to my job. I read the reviews on Yelp and read that they have a buffet over lunch. I decided to head over there for lunch. There were a lot of people in the restaurant. The buffet has about 12 items on it. I tried everyone of them and the food was good and tasty. On my way out, I ordered mango lassi and kabuli naan (naan with nuts, cherries and raisins - a very nice desert naan). The restaurant's interior is plain with a TV on one of the walls and a bar. The waitstaff was attentive clearing plates off the table and refilling water. They have happy hour which consists of 1/2 off drinks and appetizers. It's now gone up to $10.99 but it's still quite popular for lunch -- reasonably priced and lots of choices. Since I'd only come to like Indian food in the last ten years, I'm still exploring. I'm not a heavy spice person, so somethings are beyond my tolerance. A buffet is a great way to try different things and see what you like and what you don't. Their buffet changes daily -- there are some basics that remain like the naan and the biryani rices and the sauces. The tamarind sauce is slightly sweet and not spicy so I use that to temper some of the hotter dishes. Today they had a goat dish, a chicken tandoori, a chicken tikka masala, a bunch of vegetarian dishes, a ball of fried lentils, some pancakes with vegetables, et al. They also have salad and cut up fruit and several different Indian desserts. One of the desserts was made from carrots, one was like a rice pudding... I'm not a fan of their desserts so I skip these and have the melon & sliced oranges. There is a soft serve machine with mango ice cream that people seem to like as a palate cleanser. There are signs on the buffet with dish names -- some more understandable than others depending on how familiar you are with this cuisine. They have a list of ingredients for the sauces. In some cases, they also indicate level of hotness -- but their medium is sometimes hot to me. What I usually do is take a touch of anything that appeals, go back to the table, and taste it. Sunday lunch buffet is so good! Somehow when im off on a Sunday I don't think of brunch anymore. I think of 5th elements lunch buffet. From the outside I truly didn't think much given the plaza doesn't have a lot going on but the second you step inside this restaurant you're transformed to a much nicer interior. There's so much seating and believe me, each seat is filled on Sundays. I love seeing a huge variety of pple here all under one roof enjoying traditional meals of someone's culture. Let's talk food. My my myyy. The food is really good. They have this amazing saag paneer that is truly my favorite item here. However the last 3 Sunday's I went, they had a tikka like paneer instead. The naan is so good and is constantly being refilled so it's hot and fresh. This neighborhood Indian eatery is usually quite busy at lunch time as they offer a large buffet of Vegan, Chicken (5 ways), and Goat dishes. A variety of chutneys to tone down some of the spice in some of the selections. All selections are kept hot and replinished quickly as they run low. The Nan and mini nan pancake breads are great sauce savers and compliment the servings of flavorful selections. Overview: my friend and I've been looking for a good Indian place- it seems south floridas Indian food tends to either not put ghee into their cooking so it comes out not creamy (as Indian food is famous for) or they like to put sugar so it has this awkward sweet taste once the food cools down. We overhead about this place while we were in the elevator of our attending physicians, so we decided to give it a shot and it was super good! We went at night and ordered two dishes to try out- and both did not disappoint. In fact, we had to to go our saag, roti, and chicken and it was even more delicious the next day without the sweet aftertaste, sogginess that leftovers can get, or grimy feel that 12 hour old food can have if not cooked well. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is great- will definitely come back here for their lunch buffet to sample more of their food Saag paneer -Can't go wrong with saag paneer right? Surprisingly, you can if you don't put ghee or over cook the spinach or are stingy with the spices- 5th element does this comforting but rich in flavor dish well- the paneer was the right size in bites, wasn't hard like rubber, or too soft like Queso fresco cream cheese, and the spinach was the adequate amount. If youre someone who's new to indian food, this spinach Indian cheese dish paired with naan/roti and of course their complimentary basmati rice, is a great intro. And for seasoned people, still a perfect dish to balance something new you want to try. We wanted to try something new besides the typical curries, masalas, and Bryani- so we ordered one of the chickens- can't remember the name but you'll know what I'm talking about b/c it was a name that my friend (who's Bangladeshi) and I had never heard of before. It had a long name and was described to be a tangy dish b/c it was cooked with hibiscus and complex spices- it was a new dish and had a tart refreshing but curry flavor to it. I highly recommend it if you are game to try a chicken dish with a name you don't recognize. Then again, anything here at this restaurant seems safe for the adventurous b/c based on how they made their dishes, you can tell you're in safe hands to try something new and not be turned off by flavoring. Roti was perfect chew and flatness- naan is supposed to be a fluffy texture, Roti is more of a flatbread that can be chewy and more nutty in flavor. Great food and very full and versatile menu which contains food for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. Gobi Manchuria was on the menu and I was really excited to try it because it is my favorite. I always order it when it's available at Indo Chinese restaurants. It's cauliflower that's deep fried and coated with a batter and Asian seasoning similar to Szechuan chicken. Sadly they overcooked them. The batter and seasoning was good however the cauliflower were so done that they seemed to be missing from the inside . The lunch specials are very fulfilling because of the large portions so worth it. I posted a picture of the menu option deals they have. They also have a full bar with a seating area. And they normally have a buffet but are currently waiting for City approval to reopen it. Post covid problems. We keep hearing good things about the buffet here. So we came for dinner and they didn't have the buffet... But it all worked out for us! This is a big restaurant, and while they were busy they weren't jam packed so we got seated immediately. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we felt welcomed. The chicken was battered with a crunchy batter and it was fairly spicy but not super hot. Perhaps the dipping sauce cooled it off a bit, but I do have a reasonably high heat tolerance as well. The bread was deliciously warm and rich, we actually held off on eating more than a piece each because we didn't want to fill up on bread! For my entree I went with Murgh Tikka (I think), which came out on a sizzling skillet with peppers and a yoghurt based dipping sauce. It did not disappoint - the chicken was juicy,tender and flavorful even without the dipping sauce. My companion went with the lamb Biryani. The saffron rice was loaded with chunks of delicious, succulent spicy lamb, hard boiled eggs, spices and other goodies. We both really liked it. Definitely a "go-to" Indian place for us now. We were well fed and there was plenty of protein in our curries. The lamb/chicken was tender and the sauces very flavorful. They gave me the choice of each dish being "medium" or "spicy". When they say "spicy", they mean spicy! The vindaloo gave me the proper spice sweat/nose drip (a good thing), without the heat overcoming the flavor of the lamb/sauce.
