Best tasting Indian buffet in Broward. They continuously restock fresh food onto the buffet right to the min they close. Very high quality, clean, and tasty food. I love sag paneer, since I was craving it I remembered one of my friends mentioning this place to me and so I went for the lunch buffet. Don't judge a book by its cover, you'd never think that such great tasting food could come from a strip mall restaurant but, it was greatness! Sag paneer was delicious, tandoori chicken was delicious, biryani was delicious....everything....delicious. Mango ice cream is a must have at the end of your meal. I was out shopping for bathroom tiles when I decided I wanted a little dinner before I got home. I was discussing it with mama and I was heading over to get some Greek food and momma suggested she wanted Indian. She did a quick search and came up with this restaurant, the ratings were pretty decent, it was a mile and a half from where we were, so we decided to take a chance. Just as we were sitting down I immediately ordered garlic naan-bread and an onion naan bread. Your bread arrived hot and both slices of bread were tasty of which I liked the onion and mama liked the garlic the best. Then we ordered as an appetizer and lamb Samosa which I found lacking a little in flavor but otherwise pretty good. For those on familiar with Samosa, a Samosa is an Indian street food that's like a dumpling that tastes pretty good. For the main course we both decided to have lamb tiki masala, on mine I ordered spicy and mama had hers mild. It was hard to tell if the meat was marinated and yogurt because it had more of a consistency of possibly marinating in heavy cream but overall the food was good and was is worth a trip back. Dinner for two of us with tip came to $62. The service was very good tonight which I would expect because we were the only two there and the only downside to this location would be the shopping center which is located in. My friends and I had a very limited time to grab lunch and found this restaurant on Yelp! It's a Buffet so it's really easy to stay in control of your time if it's limited. They've got tons of seating inside lots of booths too! I thought there was a really great selection of all of the food and I enjoyed everything. There is a little ice cream soft serve machine in case you want to grab a small cone on your way out, someone miss that! Everyone in my group was really satisfied and we were able to get in and out in less than 40 minutes. I thought the cost was very reasonable. The restaurant located in the shopping center that has plenty of parking so it's extremely convenient to find and to park. I'm giving five stars based on the Buffay style food. It's obviously not the best Indian food I've ever had but I certainly think the quality, price, service all deserves a five star review. We have visited the restaurant on occasion in the past with some friends from India. Today, we went for the lunch buffet. Nice flow of a variety of customers coming in and out, including some others who appeared to be South Asian people. The food on the buffet was quite good with a nice variety. The staff were quite nice and always moving about to assist clients. The facility appears clean and orderly. Will certainly go back. The manager may want to consider offering a coupon thru AARP for retired people to come try their food. read more

We were looking for the Chinese restaurant that formally occupied the location. Because of the reviews we decided to try the menu. Fortunately, they have a buffet which is great for sampling various dishes. The chili chicken was excellent. The tika masala was also good and the curried goat. The tandoori chicken could have done without the coating however real good. Those who want it really spicy their hot sauce was fiery and tasty. They have mango yogurt soft serve. Normally, yogurt ice cream revolts me this was unidentifiable as having yogurt and was great. We also saw Diego who many years ago owned Edo in Parkland and had not seen him in years. Please, understand some of the dishes are made authentically regarding the level of spice. Load your plate with rice to eat it with the protein. 5th Element, this Indian restaurant is located in Pompano. Relatively new restaurant, less than a year open. They did a great job decorating the restaurant with golden/bronze color ceiling and bold colors on the walls, kind of reminded me of a desi outfit which has such colors. They have ample seating area with booths and tables. They were busy at lunch on Friday, around 11:30. Service was pretty good, servers were refilling water, picking up plates in a timely manner etc. Food options were plentiful with many vegetarian options as well as 2-3 types of chicken such as tandoori chicken etc. They had bunch of different sauces to put with your meal etc. In sides they had naan roti (bread) and biryani (rice). For dessert they had kheer(sort of like a rice pudding), fruits, mango ice cream. At lunch, I believe they only do buffet. We were ushered to our table with the server asking, "do you want any drink with your buffet or not." He didn't have a menu in hand so we were fine with that. We hardly ever do buffet but once in a while is fine. The prices for weekday buffet I believe is $9.99 and weekend buffet is $14.99. I know it's a buffet and they have to cater to a large group of people who have spice level preferences but yikes the food was bland. I mean really bland/ hardly flavorful. When I eat Indian food I want a punch of flavor with some sort of spice. Even the chaatni (green spicy sauce) was bland. Its a great lunch deal but at the same time I doubt I'll be back because food was not up to par for me. I hardly ate because everything I tried I didn't like. I went for the weekday lunch buffet. Service and food was excellent. The buffet has many options including mango soft service ice cream and tea. All items have labels. This place gets busy at lunch from all the nearby offices. My water was always refilled and plates cleared quickly. Food was warm and buffet was never missing any food items. I ordered from here for delivery / pick up countless times, always the shrimp curry. I told myself only after I dine in would I review the restaurant and I'm glad I held myself to that. First, the shrimp curry. There's a reason I've stuck to what I know - this may be the best shrimp curry I've ever had. A bit pricier than other's I've had, I'll say the portions are quite generous and can feed me twice. I call ahead and they usually have it ready within 15 minutes or so. The pick up experience has always been pleasant, and the men who help me are always friendly. The first time I decided to dine in was for lunch during the week. They offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for only $10.99. I tried so many new dishes and they were all incredible. We've come here for lunch 3 times now and each time we were very pleased with the service and food. I personally can't take too much spice so I always ask for butter chicken without spice. I'd say the meals can get spicy real quick so make sure to tell them before hand. The Indian food here is very authentic. The food is made fresh in the back and the butter chicken has lots of flavor, definitely not a fast food butter and cream chicken. Food is very delicious and prices are great for lunch. Though I can't comment on their dinners, at least not yet, I can about their lunch buffet which I found to have some of the most tasty and best food preparations of India that I've had; especially at a $9.99 good bang for the dollar buffet bargain price. The restaurant itself has had a complete interior make over. It's clean, everything appearing to be new, spacious and up to date. It has a really nice bar, but unfortunately with only beer and wine sales. Overall the staff is professional polite and attentive. As for the buffet, I had an excellent chicken, which I think was tikka though I'm not sure, some very good goat masala with my only complaint being that it contained a lot of bone splinters, some very good eggplant and was particularly delighted with their number and taste of chutneys which included coconut, tomato, timrand as well as a raita. I also found some very good sauce likes with their mango being exceptional good. I did get a chance to look over their dinner menu which contained far more by number of selections than I normally find available in such restaurants, offering some 21 appetizers, 14 Indian breads, soups and broths, a variety of South Indian dishes, a huge in number a vegetarian selections, 8 seafood dishes including shrimp done tikka masala, vindaloo, curry or bahar. My husband and I have been regulars for over 8 years and this was the WORST food and experience I've ever had and will not be returning. And I'll preface this by saying, I usually do not complain about food and never return anything bc it is what it is. So we go and my friends, who are also super regulars, and I ordered chicken fried rice, chicken hakka noodles, masala dosa, shrimp biryani and goat biryani. We asked for all our dishes to be "5 or Indian spicy" bc that's what we usually say when they ask for spice levels and what we received was a 0. From the very beginning, we were met with an attitude. We ordered and waited over 35 minutes for the food to come out while the restaurant was not full at all. The dosa came out first and while the taste was fine, it was cracked and thicker than it's supposed to be, we were starving so we inhaled it. When the actual food came out, it was unlike we've ever experienced. None of the food had spice NOR any SALT. Everything was so bland and when we asked to get more spice added, the waiters gave so much attitude and took it back to fix it. Atp, my friend had lost her appetite so canceled the shrimp biryani and butter chicken. The fried rice and noodles were bought back with a surplus of red chili powder and once again, no salt. That was fine and we were like it is what it is. My friend was starving so managed to eat the noodles but my fried rice was unpalatable but I left it as is. We decided we wouldn't pay for the food we didn't eat and when we went to pay, that was another debacle met with rudeness by the manager who said it was the owner who wasn't budging. They acted like they couldn't do anything because their "system wouldn't allow it" and that we were causing a scene in front of the other restaurateurs. It was embarrassing and in the end, I ended up paying for a dish that I didn't even want (goat biryani) because of how bland the shrimp biryani was. It's so disappointing because we were all regulars for years and truly loved this place and would bring all our family and friends here and now I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. read more

Really enjoyed our experience. We came in on Friday night and were seated right away. I did call in advance e because we were coming off a 45 minute drive and thankfully were accommodated. We ordered the lamb samosas, lamb korma, chicken tikka masala, shrimp vindaloo, and both garlic and butter naan. The lamb samosas were spicy for my kids but that didn't stop them from eating it. The chicken was ordered mild and was perfect for my kids to share. They enjoyed it. The chicken was moist and very flavorful. The lamb korma was amazingly tender and rich and tasted like lamb but not too gamey. The vindaloo was very spicy. It was a slow heat- as in you didn't feel the heat as soon as it went in your mouth, rather it took a few seconds. I couldn't continue eating this, though my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. The naan was perfect. Personally I loved ripping the garlic naan and using it to scoop up the lamb and chicken and all their sauces. The flavor bomb on that was fantastic. Overall everything was great and we plan to eat here next time in the area. My -1 star deduction was for two things: it was warm in the restaurant as if the air wasn't working and they had ceiling fans that were not turned on. It's the dead of summer in south FL and covid numbers are going up. Between the heat and germs, the air needed to be functioning and circulating better. Will this deter me? Nah the food is great- just hope management fixes the air situation. Will come back for the dosa!! read more

Oh man honestly I want to review more like 4.5 or 4.7. I ordered malai kofta; my bf ordered chicken tikka masala and we got a samosa chaat. I was sooo excited to see the diverse menu with a few different kind of chaat listed as appetizers Malai kofta was $16... pretty high. Not a lot of food for that price but it WAS admittedly delicious. Because of the price point and serving size though I won't make this my one go-to restaurant. I ordered spicy and it was spicier than most restaurants would give me... like a 6/7 out of ten. I would've preferred snotting and crying spicy but I loved it anyway! It wasn't too hot for my boyfriend to try it. Samosa chaat was deliciouuuuussss. The server hooked me up with some red onion, chili and lemon on the side which I LOVE. They normally charge for it as a separate side (some restaurants do, many don't) but he didn't charge me for this. So I'll be back :) I do really wish they had real chilis; I received sliced jalapeño instead. Most restaurants don't have Indian or Thai chilis because they're hard to find in South FL outside of Patel brothers. I also wish they had pani puri on the menu! I blame 5th Element for my new Yelp review category "This is Why My Pants Don't Fit." Onward. The sudden drop in temperatures tickled a need for warm, rib-sticking comfort food -- and 5th Element, tried and liked by so many Yelp friends, leapt to mind. Dining solo at just shy of 2pm, the lunch crowd was still 70% strong (and as many Yelpers have mentioned apparently at least half of Indian origin), and the buffet food fresh and hot. Seated quickly, the buffet section basically broke down to two sections: desserts and vegetarian on one flank, and meats and starches on the other. My first round's plate, pictured, consisted of (clockwise from upper left) Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tandoori, garlic chicken, chicken paneer, basmati rice and a mini corn pancake. The only mild disappointment was the Tandoori; the chunk of meat IMO too large for the high-temp oven to get that coveted crispy exterior. All else was good and the Tikka Masala was WOW good. A second plate focused on the more vegetarian fare, with naan and a squash dish being exceptional. 5E rotates their dishes daily, as explained by the owner, so you'll probably find some surprises along with expected dishes. Green lettuce salad with a bevy of chutney and mint 'dressings' offered a nice contrast of simplicity and freshness to the main dishes. The food was SO good I had to get a third, but small, third plate to re-savor my favorites. Yes it was small, but it was a third dish. Hence "This is Why My Pants Don't Fit." I had no room to try the mango froyo, which I look forward to on my return visit. Also sweet was the service; accommodating and helpful but never obtrusive. Even sweeter was the price for weekday lunch; $10.99 plus tax and tip. (Also please note, at least for now, lunch runs to 3pm vs. the posted 2:30 pm.) Have Been to this place twice before for a hosted party where we had a buffet set by the host. Teally liked the food, atleast the items we tried. Chicken 65 and yellow daal Tarka was very good. This weekend went with few friends. We ordered maisuri masala dosa, butter chicken, malai boti and some lamb curry. Masala dosa was very good. Crispy with good chutneys and potatoe filling. Galrkic naan was very tasty but that's the end of it. All other items were heavily seasoned to a point everything was Amish brown with sweet after taste. Malai boti was ok . I had better food from the same restaurant when it's a buffet for party so was really surprised by the quality. May be just go for masala dosa next time read more

As for ambiance, the place was currently under renovation, but had a clean but no frills feel which is perfectly fine for me as the only time I dress up is for funerals. One of the worst experiences I've had. They forgot our dessert and were told we had to come back to pick it up. The paneer was so hard you couldn't chew it, the popodum was so salty you couldn't eat it. The butter chicken had only 9 small pieces of chicken for the serving and the chicken fried rice was greasy and had almost no chicken in it. There isn't one thing I could give a positive review about. We called the restaurant many times to find out what was gluten free and what was vegan, Emmanuel answered the phone each time and was on point in answering all the questions we had. It would have been much better if they are made authentic than making everything mild/medium so that it caters wider sections Or maybe should have done some mix and match. My first time going to an Indian lunch buffet and this place had so many different stewed meats (chicken tikka masala, khorma, lamb, etc), along with tandoori chicken, grilled chicken, chicken and rice, several selections of dipping sauces like mint chutney and tamarind chutney, three different kinds of rice, a few apps, desserts of fruits, ice cream, deep fried sweet balls, and of course lots of naan. The different chickens were pretty moist. Nothing was spicy while many dishes were sweet. My fellow diners aren't big fans of the tikka masala or stewed meats but there was plenty of chicken in all different forms, rice, and naan to fill them up and they really enjoyed it. Buffet only during lunch (weekday - $10.95) and no a la carte. I keep seeing Yelpers say sub $10, I guess they bumped the price up recently. Plates were promptly removed. Waters refilled. General area was clean. I loved how they had napkins, plates, and little tins to use for filling up on the stewed goods. Great way to try a lot of different entrees. Plenty of parking.
