7/19/26-My experience was very disappointing. The customer service at the greeter's desk was poor, with a clear lack of communication and professionalism. The general manager failed to address our concerns, was defensive,showed little accountability, and was rude during our interaction. In addition, the food was served cold, which made the experience for my sons' birthday brunch horrible .Overall, the establishment lacked organization, and the poor service from both the greeting staff and general manager made for an unsatisfactory visit. Had a reservation but had to wait like walk-ins. The current status of this restaurant on Yelp says its temporarily closed but I've never seen a better turn out as I'm sitting inside the place. Good choice to have a rich breakfast. But waiting 1.25 hrs for your food with no complimentary anything, on hard chairs, is brutal! I hope they fix the kinks in this new setup for them. I got to the restaurant @ 10:00 AM with reservations and didn't get our food until 12:15Pm Waiting over two hours for a meal is just not acceptable. What made it even worse was that when my food finally came out, it was cold. The plate was actually hotter than the food, which made it seem like the food had been sitting for a while before it was brought to my table. After waiting that long, I expected a fresh, hot meal, but that definitely wasn't what I received. To make things even more frustrating, our entire party ordered at the same time, but our food wasn't brought out together. There were seven of us, and instead of bringing everyone's meals out at once, they only brought one or two plates at a time. We then had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes before the next trays of food came out. By the time the last people at our table received their meals, the first people had already been sitting there with their food getting cold. A restaurant should know that when a large party orders together, the goal should be to serve everyone together so the whole table can enjoy the meal at the same time. I spoke with the staff about what happened, hoping they would do something to make it right. Instead, I was only offered a 15 percent discount. After spending two hours waiting and then getting cold food, that really didn't feel like they cared about fixing the situation. It felt like my time and experience as a customer didn't matter. The biggest problem wasn't just the food being cold. It was the entire experience. The long wait, the lack of communication, the poor service, and the way the situation was handled all added up. I understand that restaurants can get busy and things can go wrong, but customers deserve better than this. I really hope management takes the time to look into what happened and makes some changes because there are clearly issues that need to be fixed. Better communication with customers, serving complete orders together, and making sure food is hot before it leaves the kitchen would go a long way. I'm so relieved to know fellow Yelpers have a more accurate depiction of this restaurant vs Google (which I unfortunately used to pick this brunch location). I have always loved this space. Vibe has good music. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. I would describe the menu selection as maybe southern / Cajun? My bowl was FULL of potato's with very little protein (light on the egg and corned beef hash). The flavor was good, but for $18, I want more than potatoes. The service is what really got me in a bad mood. It was sloooowww. Even to get a coffee refill took 20 minutes. Here's the kicker, when we finished our meal, we were still enjoying our coffee and juice, 3 people came and cleared everything from our table - even our waters. I hosted my birthday brunch here with a small group of my closest friends who traveled in from out of town and EVERYONE enjoyed their meal. They are brand new at this location so they have kinks they need to work out. I brought my family on a Thursday at 10:15 to eat. They were seated immediately. The food took about 40 minutes to come out however Lilly ( being trained) and the other server who was training her were very nice and did keep us updated on the food and refilled my dad's cup of tea consistently. My mother and I had been wanting to try this restaurant in Cincinnati for a long time but never got the chance. Now that they have a location in Covington, it was so much easier for us to visit, and it was absolutely worth the wait! The servers were very nice and attentive however, the wait time for food was much no longer than I anticipated. There were 3 of us and it took an hour to receive our food and it was constantly being blamed on a large party that showed up. My suggestion is if you can't accommodate the others in the restaurant then you should probably not accept parties of 30 people. The food was mediocre. I tried the salmon croquettes which were dry, the bacon was so salty I didn't even finish eating it but the cheese eggs were perfect. I went on a Sunday and I loved the R&B vibes as well. Me oh my, there's a great new breakfast spot in town. Just stopped in for breakfast with friends, and this place is a winner. New to the neighborhood in an old bank, 6 is serving up Southern-themed and named breakfast delights. Check out the photos of the menu and you'll see what I mean. Y'all ain't ready for that red velvet chicken and waffles. You're just not. When I tell you there's crack in the chicken...there's crack in the chicken. They're in the back seasoning everything, not just the chicken. I'm talkin' 'bout the FLOUR, the OIL, the skillet itself is damn seasoned. And these fluffy waffles?! Chile. With this cream cheese drizzle? Stop. Seriously, the crunch on this chicken is special, and I'm determined to come back just to see what else they can do with a damn chicken. Y'all make chicken feet? I'm down. The owners have taken a dated, gutted-out bank and transformed it into a bright, airy, welcoming restaurant with shotgun-style seating area and a truly lovely bar. There are great little design touches from the front door to the back of the house. Truly, the decor is very mindful, very demure. The staff is young, attractive, and clearly learning how to be/stay professional while at work. I hate going places where employees can't be bothered to stop having private conversations between themselves when there are customers. Not at 6! I walked through the front door and there were 3 servers standing at the hostess stand. As SOON as they saw me, they all stopped talking. Two just smiled and walked away and the third looked me in the eye and welcomed me. The young lady moved with a sense of urgency, one of those we-don't-make-customers-wait kind of urgency, and I was seated within 60 seconds. Great location, great servers, and even better menu options. Seriously, the only reason this place got a 4 and not a 5 is the grits. I think after 1.5 hours our food finally came. The lines and waits are just ridiculous. Maybe don't offer carry out on weekends. Get some sort of food for munching. And get the kitchen timing under control. They did end up comp-ing us, but still, after almost 3 hours there, it just left a bad taste, figuratively. Literally, it was still delicious though. The food was fresh and flavorful. I went with the Shrimp and Grits and my Partner had French Toast. Everything was so good! There is one little tip of advice. His potatoes were just as crispy as mine, the French toast was thick sliced, soft and fluffy. He got a sde of bacon that was perfectly crispy. They have a full bar with plenty of signature cocktails to choose from more styles of mimosas than you can shake a stick at, but we went sober with a lovely hot tea and a rich caramel iced coffee. Definitely will be coming back, maybe for their Friday brunch happy hour. The sandwiches are available right from the opening and all look amazing. Nice to see a breakfast spot with non pork options like fish and beef on the menu for those who like meat but don't do swine.
