Service was good. That's the only way I could give this place 2 stars. Food was subpar and lacked flavor. The French onion soup left a lot to be desired. The walleye was fairly bland. Nice restaurant with plenty of friendly people. It's in what appears to be a small home converted to a restaurant. Typical "supper club" fare on the menu like steak, chops, a fish special, lamb. Our Rib Eyes were cooked perfectly & the portions were large so we each took half our steak home. Entree came with soup & salad and we upgraded to the Baked French Onion Soup which was very tasty & not too salty (French Onion often is very salty, but not theirs). They also bring the supper club "relish tray" to the table and theirs was on the skimpy side compared to other supper clubs we've visited: a couple celery sticks & carrot sticks w/a dressing to dip 'em in & a very tiny cup (I'd say 1/4 C. size) of pickled herring (herring available on certain days) - granted a little pickled herring goes a long way, and it was very good. A bread basket was brought over as well that had 2 regular dinner rolls in it and the odd addition of 2 small cinnamon rolls...even the servers were telling guests they have no idea why there were cinnamon rolls so it either was a mistake or something new the chef decided on. Of course before all this we started with a couple cocktails...and in Wisconsin, especially at a supper club, it should be a Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet - which they made perfectly. One negative was not all our plates/bowls were taken away when clearly empty & done with and sat there for the entire meal on the table. The only other bummer for us, which really wouldn't be for most folks I'm guessing, was it didn't really look like an old school Wisconsin supper club since it is a converted home (or a building that really looks like it was a home). First time here BUT not my last. I've been dying to come here for awhile and honestly I'm SO glad i did. We made reservations for a Saturday night @6:45 - glad we did because this place was jam packed. Our server Casey greeted us immediately with a veggie dish, got our drink orders and told us the amazing specials. The ambience is very sweet, romantic and full of warmth. The staff is very attentive, and all works together to ensure your experience is above the rest. The menu is limited, BUT they know what they are doing. I had the walleye, with au gratin potato's - your meal also comes with soup and salad. They also bring out an assortment of breads, and one of them so happened to be fresh cinnamon rolls which were to die for. I had the shrimp bisque soup and it was sooo tasty. EVERYTHING was prepared to perfection. My boyfriend got their filet steak and i don't even like steak... and it was amazing and i can honestly say i am now dying to go back just for the steak! LOL the au gratin potato's are out of this world. The soup was delicious, i want more ! The only thing that was a downer was how immensely hot it was in there. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was decent. Unfortunately I do not have any pics of my meal but I can assure you, my meal was on point! My husband and I ate at the 615 Club for our 33rd wedding anniversary and it was worth it. We are visiting from Texas visiting family in Beloit. I had both the crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms. I was not expecting to get my money's worth with those appetizers but I got that and more. I've been to high-end restaurants before and only had bite-sized portions; 615 Club makes sure they stand out from that. My cakes were filled with that sweet and delicious crab which tasted amazing and cooked perfectly. The stuffed mushrooms were perfect as well. I could have just had those two for my meal but I wanted crab legs. It was a special occasion, so why not? I had to limit myself to just one crab cake and one stuffed mushroom. Next was the best clam chowder I've ever had in my life!! It was a tad over-salted but it was the best I've had and I finished it in record time. My husband even loved it and he is not a chowder man. Next was the salad. It was nothing special but I noticed I did not have to remove any brown lettuce. This has been a problem for me lately when I have salads in restaurants. They will serve lettuce which may have browned on its ends - it's a travesty, but this salad was not disappointing. When my king crab legs came out, I almost did the happy dance because it was what I've always dreamed of. So much edible meat and easy access to it. My serving must have been a true 1.5 - 2 pounds of crabmeat and perfectly prepared. I paired it with their very delicious potatoes au gratin. There was so much food I had to bring food back with me. I had the appetizers for breakfast (which was even better the next day) and will have the rest of my crab and potatoes for lunch. I did not care for the bread because it tasted, and looked, like a mini, unsplit hamburger bun and didn't compliment the meal, in my opinion. My dessert, apple pie a la mode, was ok. The ice cream was fine but the pie looked and tasted like it was an off-brand from the local grocery store. All in all, I had a wonderful meal and would visit again. read more

First time there with three of us. We ordered the 615 which is a Ribeye steak, the smaller Ribeye, and the Halibut. Two of us had potatoes Au Gratin, one person ordered green beans. This is an old house feel with several rooms. Our waitress was pleasant. The drinks were good. We ordered onion rings which were a bit greasy. We had a corn chowder that was runny but decent. We had two onion soups that were a bit below par on taste and instead of good bread in it there were a couple of Melba toast type crackers. The cheese on top was good. So, we had a nice evening but here's our take away. No bread was served at our table. The steaks tasted great but we can make a great tasting Ribeye at home for $7 instead of $27. The halibut was a little over cooked. The potatoes were decent but they were over cooked. The green beans were cooked perfectly. There is just so many great places to choose in Beloit so I don't think we'll head back to the 615 Club. read more

Last two times we went there food was not up to standard. First time my friend ordered a mediums steak and it was burnt! She sent it back and took it home. More recent my husband ordered a well done steak the steak came out black! If Texas Roadhouse can make a well done steak without burning it why can't these chefs? Given the price point it's hard to be too critical for the overall experience. Yelp defines two stars as, "Meh. I've experienced better." And I think that's how I'd describe our experience there. I credit the owners for keeping 615 Club going. My grandparents used to enjoy going there decades ago. It was fun to think about them having dined there. But both service and the entrees left something to be desired. Waiting seemed to be the theme. We waited to be greeted and seated, waited for a server, then waited for drinks, then waited a long time for our bill before finally asking a hostess for it. Our server was very friendly and professional, but she just seemed distracted or as if she was just having an off day. Besides the lapses in service, she would do things like forget to bring sour cream even after saying she'd be right back with it. As a former server my guess was that something had thrown her off track and she just wasn't recovering. The appetizers were delicious, the salad was fresh, but the rest left something to be desired. The relish try was served frozen.. literally frozen solid carrots. Not very appetizing. The 615 steaks just did not taste like quality cuts and the walleye tasted overcooked or something. These weren't expensive entrees given the quantity of food you got from start to finish. I suppose I'd personally rather just pay more for a good cut of meat and get fewer fringe benefits. My wife and I went around 7:30 PM on a Friday night. The place was busy when we arrived but cleared out over the course of our meal. The food was awful. All of it...bad. The shrimp appetizer wasn't salted at all, the shrimp were small and the texture was stringy. I would guess that the shrimp was old or overcooked or both. We both had french onion soup, which was served without cheese (who does this?). The broth tasted like bouillon (there was even telltale specks at the bottom of the bowl). The soup did not have caramelized onions, but rather raw onions that were boiled in the broth. The bread was stale and inedible. The side salads that came before the entrees were bad. The lettuce had turned and probably should have been thrown away a couple days earlier. We both ordered steaks (ribeye and fillet). One was overcooked, both were flavorless and low quality beef. Overall Pros: The atmosphere was nice and our server was great. Cons: All the food our excellent server delivered was awful. We also paid a lot of money for the awful food. read more

Took some out of town family here so they could experience a Wisconsin supper club. We all really enjoyed it. The restaurant doesn't have a children's menu, but our server was great about bringing extra vegetables on the relish tray and a small cup of soup for my young niece-we didn't even have to ask. The adults enjoyed steaks, au gratin potatoes, and more. The first time I wasn't able to actually enjoy it because it was a Saturday night and I didn't have a reservation with the group of 4 I was with...bummer. The second and third time it was during the week and I went to the bar area to enjoy some appetizers and drinks. Once I was able to get in the door, I really liked it. The atmosphere is relaxed in a classy kind of way. The drink menu is nice and their wine selection is decent. I also loved how they gave you cinnamon rolls with your appetizer order. The baked French onion soup was salty and had very little onions. The salad was bland but ok. The steaks were ordered medium and came out well done. To top that off, they were not seasoned and lacked quality taste. Even the lobster and walleye were overcooked and tasteless. This is the place to be if you want to get away from the busy restaurant chain strip and eat at a place the locals cherish. I've dined at the 615 Club on two different business trips (found it on Yelp) and both times sat at the bar which is is usually filled with locals. The owner has been present both times and is very friendly. I brought a colleague with me the second time and he loved the food and ambience as well. Reminds me of the family restaurants in New England that I used to frequent growing up. They start you with crudités (veggies, dip, crackers and pickled herring) and follow with a soup, rolls, then salad and entree - every bit is delicious. You will not leave hungry! read more

For appetizers: Escargot with bleu cheese... my God these were amazing, I could eat a plate of these easily. Onion rings, so fresh, so cleanly fried and with a simply amazing taste. Our friends tried the crab cakes which they said were stellar. Three of us tried steak, prime rib and the 615 Ribeye. Both primes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The ribeye was juicy and tender but really could have used some more seasoning, but that is a personal preference; next time we will order it heavily seasoned. Stuffed prawns were a special item the evening we went and they were out of this world. This place reminds me of the old supper clubs in the 70's... soup and salad are included and the atmosphere is very nice. This place is worth a stop! read more

The 615 Club is a gem in downtown Beloit, serving classic supper club fare. I was in town for a motorcycle event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway and thought I'd fuel up a bit for the next day. I was greeted immediately upon entering, and asked to eat at the bar as I was dining alone. I ordered the escargot, "The 615" ribeye, and an Alaskan Ale (there are 4 beers on draught, all microbrew). In classic supper club style I was provided with a relish tray to start, with celery, carrots, pickled peppers, and pickled herring. The french onion soup followed (a soup option with the steak). It was hearty and delicious. The escargot followed - it was buttery, garlicky, and very tender. The crostinis they were served with were grilled on one side, leaving the other side soft - a great touchl. Concluding the pre-steak courses was the salad, which was a supper-club classic iceberg on a chilled plate. The main attraction followed - the ribeye. Perfectly aged and perfectly grilled, it was delicious. I can't wait to try the other cuts. Overall, this was beyond what I expected from a Beloit restaurant, and is definitely a place I'd come to again. You won't find trendy ingredients on this menu, but what they do they do well. read more

We went to the 615 for a Christmas party. The owner was aware that this was a Christmas party so you would have thought they would have arranged to have the tables together so we could all sit together, nope we had to sit at 3 separate tables. We made sure to put our orders in ahead of time as asked, however the orders were never passed down to the staff. Upon arrival, we were seated right away but waited at least 15 mins before anyone come to take our drink order. That would be the only time our waitress asked if we wanted a drink. If we wanted another drink we had to go to the bar where the bartender told one of the people in our party that she was to busy to wait on people that are seated at tables. Our reservation was at 7 and we did not get our food until after 9pm. We had a total of 18 people so I understand that it might take longer but 3 other tables that came in long after us all received their food before we did. In addition, one of the tables in our party received and finished their food before we received our. I got the 615 steak, which resembled something you would buy in the parking lot of a mall and it was cold when I received it. The baked frend onion soup was amazing, I will give them that. This was only the 2nd time that I have been to the 615 and the first time was just as bad. I will never go back to this restaurant. read more

Our dinner tonight was amazing. Classic French onion soup followed by a delicious house salad with their house dressing-I think she said a celery seed vinaigrette (definitely try), which was super as tasty. My husband had a Caesar, which was equally tasty. Meaning, you can go wrong with a salad here. I had the Petite Filet and my husband had the custom cut 615 18oz ribeye; both were grilled and seasoned to perfection. Service was on point. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I cannot thank the owners of 615 Club enough for such a wonderful dinner event they provided for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner last week. Rayann and Gregg went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect with the pre-event arrangements, as well as the event evening. They allowed us to choose and limit menu choices to keep within our budget as well as being willing to accommodate bar preferences. Gregg even came out during the dinner to make sure everything was great! I found the serving staff to be extremely kind, friendly and accommodating, but more importantly, our guests repeatedly told me how impressed they were by the serving staff. So many guests made a point to mention to me how wonderful the staff was. But of course, another important detail would be the quality of the food. It was WONDERFUL. All dishes were perfectly done and everyone was very impressed. As the hostess of the dinner, I walked from table to table, and saw first hand that each and every dish was prepared with care and expertly presented. Thank you to the kitchen staff! The private room seats 40, I believe. We had about 35. Rayann and Gregg scheduled 4 servers for the evening, so you know everyone was very well cared-for. Again, I would like to thank the 615 Club for not only making my son's rehearsal dinner great, but for making it a memorable part of the entire wedding week-end. Thank you so much!!! I meet a friend for dinner and had reservations at a certain time.. he fell behind a bit and I was questioned 3 times on when he would arrive. He is a Dr so sometimes he might get cought up. Plus it was our first experience and he got lost trying to find it. We were pushed into ordering right away and told we needed to be finished eating by a certain time.. the food was wonderful for me he said his lobster was tough.. as much as we work it would have been nice to relax and enjoy our meal, yet the exact opposite happened.. we were so disappointed.. not to mention there were several empty tables during our visit.. we will never go back no matter how good the food was.. very very dissatisfied. read more

Visited for a work dinner with a large group, so they accommodated our reservation request. It seems like most Wisco supper clubs - good drinks, crudité, appetizers and then lots more food. The crabcakes were the best app in my opinion, only to be topped by the baked French onion soup. Only reason for 1 less star is I felt my prime rib lacked some good seasoning. Our first trip to this interesting restaurant. Started in the bar which is fairly small but nice. Brandy old fashioned was really good. Then on to our table for 2 in what was a small banquet type room full of large tables of extremely noisy people and no acoustics. Needless to say we were unable to communicate much. My wife's walleye was really good and my ribeye was fair. We had a good shrimp cocktail and a small but tasty salad and a good squash bisque. Overall food was pretty good but I would not go back on a Saturday night. Too tight and too noisy. 3 stars for the meal but no stars for the dining room. It was interesting to me that the quality and preparation of steak was excellent but the salad was warm with the unpleasant taste of bagged salad. The crudite served with a dill dip was acceptable... But not quite as fresh as you would hope for. We had ordered drinks at the bar which we carried to the table but I would have enjoyed an appetizer and a glass of Cabernet with my steak but yet was not offered either. The waitress was quite delighted to present the pickled herring to my husband and an over attentive busboy was anxious to clear our table and package our take home which somewhat pre-empted an opportunity to order dessert and coffee. Being that it is supper club you kind of hope to have the total and whole experience. Two dinnner rolls and one cinnamon roll were in the bread basket. I was hoping to have another one to take home since we were not offered dessert but was told that there weren't enough. I was really excited to check this place out because I love supper clubs and this one is featured in the Wisconsin Supper Club books. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to my expectations. It's a strange environment that feels like a house that's been broken up into tiny rooms. It was really BRIGHT and extremely LOUD. There is nothing to absorb the noise and it bounced around like crazy. I appreciated the relish tray but it was really tiny. Their business model seems to be to overcharge for the food and then give you soup AND salad so you feel you're getting a lot for the money. Their French onion soup is just broth with two croutons unless you want to pay $4.95 (the menu price) to have it baked with cheese. The blue cheese dressing tasted processed and overly sweet, like it came out of a jar. My salmon was overcooked and came with a topping that was unexpected and overly sweet. The service was slow with minimal interaction. Overall, this was a really disappointing place and I would not recommend it. read more
