Ok this place is really cute and unique . Service was great and they have an amazing variety of shakes . However I order a meatloaf sandwich and did not like it. The meatloaf appeared dried and old, had onions and green peppers which was not specified on the menu. It was also especially dried. It did come with mayo which I didn't think goes well on a meatloaf sandwich ( if they put gravy maybe) , Soo everything else that my company ordered looked good and everyone on my table who ordered different type of foods liked what they ordered. Service was excellent .

Really solid staple in iconic building. Really delicious food here but more of classic diner stables with New Mexico twist. Decor is amazing with pez and signs (defs a good stop for tourists). Staff was super kind and food came fast. Small parking lot (as expected) as we missed part of the lot is quick right up the hill. Overall enjoyed the turkey melt with green chiles (ok) and country fried steak (really good). Large portions and lots of history- recommend.

A super fun and classic retro dining experience! Along classic Route 66 you have to try this place! It's extremely reasonably priced even if you get extras and a milkshake. The service is super polite, and the food is wonderful! Only negative that could happen is getting sat at a dirty table because they are fairly busy.

We stopped here more for the experience and didn't expect much from the food. We ordered a milkshake and a salad--both were decent. The milkshake portion was huge--they served extra on the side almost equal to what was in the glass, which was a nice touch. The place itself is very cute, and if you're on Route 66 and want that classic diner experience, it's worth a stop.

Good food, great service, and an authentic Route 66 experience. The retro décor and friendly atmosphere made this one of our favorite stops in New Mexico.

Fish, fries, mashed taters with white.gravy and cornbread muffin. And a vanilla shake. Yum.

The food was good. The milkshake was excellent. Sad thing that most of the employees were not very friendly at all. A new girl was being trained to wait tables and shes the only one I saw smile.

Service was quick and efficient. Ty w decor of the whole place is super fun. The night we went, their were may prom kids. Seems like a fun and affordable place to go for a start to a prom night. Love the pez dispensers all over the high shelving. I felt like a burger and this seemed like a good place for it. I got the green chili burger with bacon and it was delicious. It was a bit pink- more than I like but I ate it and it was yummy. No ketchup needed. Very much New Mexico and full of flavor. We had to get shakes since they were recommended by the staff at the hotel. I would have gotten it anyway cause this seemed like the perfect place for it. They were think and so good. I saw some other desserts and I think I might have rolled over in my seat if I even tried them. They were huge! I got 3 glasses of shake and after a half marathon, it was well earned. My friend had the fish and chips and malt. She lived both. My shake wasn't fully mixed with peanut butter but it was still thickly delicious. I'd go back for a burger and shake fix. Might need my prom dress next time.

Topped by while visiting Albuquerque. I loved the theming -- they really nailed the look and feel of a 50's diner. There was plenty of parking and no wait, so we were seated pretty quickly. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with a side of chili fries and it was really good. I loved how crispy the chicken was, and it wasn't dry either which was nice. I split a strawberry milkshake and that was AMAZING. Probably the best milkshake I've had in a long time. Perfect for a hot day! The staff was also pretty friendly. Cool experience, would recommend!

We were looking for a lunch spot and came across 66 Diner on Yelp. I love diners and this spot did not disappoint. We were quickly seated and they had excellent service. They constantly checked up on us and got everything out pretty quickly. I ordered the green chile bacon Mac & cheese. It was a pretty big portion for the price & such a solid Mac & cheese. They didn't skimp on the bacon or green chile. The strawberry milkshakes were made to perfection and I love that you get to keep the excess. The parking is a bit limited in the lot but there is also free street parking as well. This place was busy when we went and for good reasons.

Yes, highly recommend this place. The environment was fun. The food was as expected for a diner. The burger patty was par, but it was tasty. The fries were fresh and crispy The carrot cake serve a la mode was very good. And to be honest, you come here for the experience. It's like stepping into a Time Machine, where the staff wears the uniform and a smile. They were extremely helpful and friendly, especially asking for recommendations for things to do in Albuquerque.

Nice place. It's a 50s theme and you get pretty good food. The service seems to be pretty good also. Parking is okay and is in an area that is somewhat sketchy.

66 Diner is such a classic Albuquerque must experience. I personally love their burgers and always add a side of gravy for the fries, but the food is exactly what you would expect to find at a classic diner. They've got a decent variety of diner foods and lots of treats, including milkshakes and pies. On my most recent visit, I tried the teeny weeny sundae which was so cute and literally just a scoop of ice cream in a sauce cup with fudge and toppings. The service was great, and of course the environment is just fun and nostalgic.

Ahhh! New favorite diner in all of New Mexico! Such a wonderful place because of the decor, nostalgia, and vibes, but the food is good too! No pictures of the food listed because I ate it up too quickly. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was served on a soft, toasted bunch, came with onions, tomato, and lettuce. Flavorful, filling, and served quickly by friendly staff. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this diner because I've already been back since my first stop. Later this month, I'll be back with my family and it'll be a party of 10 of us. Looking forward to it! Lastly want to note that you should be trying the pies!!

The kids are happy, I'm happy, and honestly, that's a successful breakfast in my book. The only downside is the limited seating. It's a smaller location, so it can fill up quickly, especially during the breakfast rush. If you happen to come during a really busy time, you may have to wait a bit to find a table. That said, I don't think it takes away from the experience you just have to time it right. We usually come for breakfast since they're open for breakfast and lunch, and this time I tried the Grande burrito. And let me tell you, "Grande" is not an exaggeration. That is a LOT of food. I got the bacon-smothered burrito with red chile, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, I could not finish it. I do wish there was something between the Grande and Junior because the Grande is a serious commitment, and I'm not sure the Junior would be enough. I'll have to try it next time and find out. My daughter ordered the steak sandwich, which comes with an Angus sirloin steak on Texas toast. It looked a little wild when it came out, but she ate it and said it was delicious, so apparently the presentation was just part of the experience. My son got the sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. He ate the whole thing, so clearly he approved. His only complaint was that the biscuit kept falling apart, but considering he's a little kid, I'm going to blame that one on the user rather than the biscuit. The staff has always been friendly during our visits. On this particular morning, a gentleman came around several times to refill our house coffee, which I always appreciate. Good service and a full coffee cup go a long way. And if you're into pastries and coffee, they have plenty of options. I've tried their blueberry muffin, and it is divine. They also have different baked scones, and I've had their lattes and macchiatos, which have all been really good. I still need to come back during the lunch hours because there are several things I want to try. The hot beef sundae caught my attention, and the Philly also looked really good. There are so many different options that I feel like I could keep coming back and ordering something different every time. This is definitely the kind of place where you can stop in, grab something really good, enjoy a little coffee, and get on with your morning. It's casual, welcoming, and consistently good. Limited seating is really my only complaint. Otherwise, I've been here multiple times and have yet to leave disappointed. Definitely a must-try!

We ate from the border crossing past El Paso all the way to Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. And I'm sure we missed a ton of great places, but that being said, the places we did try... yikes! We rolled the dice on this place. At first I was like, "Great, another place that is going to give us a premade tortilla and some bland combination of stuff in the tortilla..." Now look... this is not a Michelin-starred place, nor is it Michelin-recommended. It's not going to be a spiritual experience. It's not going to make you think differently about a taco, an enchilada, or anything else on their massive menu. But this place has heart, soul, and there's a lot of hustle. The tortillas are made fresh, right there behind the counter (i.e., you can literally watch them crank them out), and that makes a ton of difference. The food is honest, without pretense: fast and affordable. The ambiance is equally without pretense -- college kids, working-class folks, families, academics... The food was simple, spartan, and honest. No frills. Not extraordinary, but above average for the context. There is an ASTOUNDING amount of variety on the menu, and the combinations are infinite. I very much enjoyed my meal, I very much enjoyed the people-watching, and I very much enjoyed the experience. This was perhaps the best meal I had in New Mexico -- the cheapest, and the most memorable. If this place was a beer, it would be one of those local lager/pilsners that is as cheap as a Pabst/Coors/Miller but punches up way past the pretentious IPA scene. Thanks Frontier.
