The recommendation to pair the honey with the cheese on the biscuits was excellent and took an already great item to another level. The broccolini, coffee, and espresso shot were not our favorites of the evening, but honestly, the other dishes were so good that we quickly forgot about them. Every course seemed to have something memorable to offer. The bartender service was stellar throughout the night, attentive without being intrusive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. We left full, satisfied, and already talking about what we'd order on our next visit. Looking forward to coming back.

They made sure to keep our table clean and gave us new silverware and plates before or entrees arrived. Any food that we did not finish was boxed up and put into bags for us. The manager was actively walking around the restaurant, making sure that every guest were enjoying their dinner. The food was good all around but there are some dishes that outshine the rest. The ribeye and New York strip were very good. The butchers steak I got for my son and he didn't really like it, it was lacking flavor. If you do anything when you go, please make sure to get the biscuits. Hands down THE BEST BISCUITS I've ever had lol. They are the most flaky and buttery biscuits, you can count each layer that these have. Pro tip is to ask for butter and the house made jam. The pimento cheese is good with them but it becomes a little too decadent. Overall I'm happy we made the decision to come here, we will be back soon.

Finally made it to The Duck & The Peach and I'm already planning my next visit…read more The space strikes that perfect balance. It feels upscale and thoughtfully designed without being stuffy or uncomfortable. The duck absolutely lived up to the hype. I'm usually hesitant ordering duck since it can be undercooked, but this was done perfectly and incredibly flavorful. Easily the standout dish of the night. We also tried a fish dish that was solid, but if you're choosing, go for the duck every time. There's a mushroom appetizer that I wish I could remember the name of because it's a must-order. Same goes for the crudo, which was fresh and delicious. And I have to mention the bread and butter. The pink pumpernickel bread paired with that perfectly whipped butter was unreal. Simple, but done exceptionally well. The whipped mashed potatoes deserve their own moment too. They were so smooth and rich they basically melted in your mouth. And then dessert sealed the deal. The Black Forest cake was absolutely divine. Truly a 1000/10 moment. The only real miss for me came at the very end. They handed out bright red DoorDash bags for leftovers, and it completely clashed with the otherwise polished experience. When I asked about it, I was told they use them because they're free, which honestly made it feel even more out of place. A small detail, but it took away from an otherwise beautifully curated night. Overall, still an amazing dinner. Not sure what took me so long to try this place, but I'll definitely be back.

We ordered the large porterhouse steak and a full rotisserie chicken to share as entrees. For sides, we enjoyed trumpet mushrooms and asparagus. The pumpernickel was fresh and hot--but it cost $14 for a small loaf. Maybe skip that unless you are carb-deprived. The cocktails looked interesting, but expensive. We opted for tap water and a later cocktail at home. Service was excellent, but our waiter was spread thin over several tables. Water refills came often. They charged an $8.13 "kitchen benefit fee", which I don't agree with. Restaurant owners need to handle their staff pay and benefits internally. We may be back later in the Fall when friends visit DC, but we will avoid the cocktails and bread.

The organizer had booked the brunch about a week in advance and had coordinated with the restaurant to pay a large group deposit. The reservation was for 1:30 PM, but our table was not ready until 2 PM. When we were finally seated, the table was only set for 20 people. We were in the upstairs room with another large group, so there was no space to really add two more chairs to our table. We had to crowd into the table to accommodate the last two people. Even though the brunch is bottomless with a menu to choose from, the servers decided to just bring random items from the brunch menu to the table. Honestly, some of the worst food I have ever seen. The vegetable vitamin salad looked like slop, as did the rice/salad dish, which I'm not even sure what it was called. We were also brought a trio of three dips as well as pita and cornbread. The dips were very bland, the cornbread was dry and flavorless. As I did not like any of the items that the servers selected, I begin requesting other salads/appetizers off of the menu. I requested the Greek/Mediterranean salad and the pickles, both were very underwhelming. As far as the brunch foods, the menu was literally all over the place. Even though this is a Balkan-inspired restaurant, there were items such as fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and shrimp and grits on the menu, which don't actually make sense in light of what Balkan cuisine is. The best thing I ate was grilled steak, which was on a platter with eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. There were two Belgian dessert waffles as well which were underwhelming. The only decent thing about the entire experience is that our servers kept the mimosas flowing. Each person in our party paid $75 inclusive of tax and tip-- 100% NOT worth it.

From the intro milk bread to the caviar sorbet to the fried bread pudding, each bite was perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. The pork and lychee salad, as everyone says, is a huge standout! The space itself is bright and airy and a bit on the noisy side. But the service was very good, and the food was served quite quickly. I've been on a shakshuka kick lately, so I opted for the the Sweet Potato Shakshuka, which is described as: Sweet Potato Curry, with Chickpeas and Sunny Eggs with a the chicken add-on - gotta get that protein in, after all. This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!
