i cant tell you how easy it was to get smogged here. great customer service, they were done in a flash, even though i did not make an appointment. they also have a great place to wait while you wait. i happened to have breakfast next door at quince, which is a great restaurant, but if you don't want to do that there is a pleasant outdoor waiting area. this is smogging your car made easy. read more

Lindsi and Alan are THE BEST. After getting a pricing bait and switch and failing a smog check at another station, I came to 7 Days A Week Smog. Before coming in I called on the phone and explained how frustrated I was with my previous experience and that I was distraught because I had no idea how to fix it. They were very friendly and offered to take a look if I came in. They ran a free OBDII pre-check and explained to me why my car had failed (the other smog place did not) and gave me tips for how to correct the problems that has caused the car to fail. It turned out to be an issue of my emissions monitors not being set, so a couple weeks of long distance driving did the trick. I went back to 7 Days A Week to re-take the smog test, and passed with flying colors. Their pricing was very affordable and completely transparent, no gimmicks. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Stellar customer service and stand-up ethics in an industry filled with scammers, will return to them every year. read more

Wow, what a great business. Literally got there and was back in my car within 15 minutes. In the short time I did have to wait, the waiting area was pleasant enough, with good reading materials, computers that people could apparently use, a mural on the wall and little zen fountain thing that made it feel a lot of more comfortable of a place to wait than your typical auto body shop or smog place. They even had chairs set up outside in case you wanted to wait while enjoying the beautiful weather. The staff was friendly too. Best of all, the price was very reasonable (59 bucks after 20 dollars off for mentioning I found them online), a lot less than I paid two years ago at another place. I would definitely recommend them as the place to go if you need to get your car smogged. read more

these guys are great. They hooked my car up and got a diagnostic error so didn't go ahead with the smog check and didn't charge me a cent. The dealer (Oakland Toyota) wanted $135 to hook the car up to the diagnostic machine to tell me what they told me for free. Will definitely be back when the problem has been fixed. read more

These people are really great. Yes, the waiting room is remarkably thoughtful for customers. Yes, they are prompt. Yes, they are affordable. But more than any of that they are remarkably helpful, totally honest and responsible about your car. Hands down, bringing my car there was the best mechanic experience I've had in years. The first time I went in, my engine light was on, which apparently means an automatic fail. The man I dealt with, whose name I believe was Scott, said "no charge, go get it fixed and then come back." I did come back after the sensor in my car was reset, but along the way, another mechanic told me that the root cause was a blown head gasket - cost $2,000. Scott said he doubted that. In addition to my smog check, he used his instruments to test the "blown head gasket theory." and concluded it was not true. He took a few minutes to show me how he tested that, then took a flashlight to show me where in the engine there was some leaked oil, and made suggestions about how to identify the source. Everything he did was done quickly and politely, and going above and beyond the call of duty, he literally saved me $2,000. A few hours later a third mechanic, who I was visiting for another purpose altogether completely verified everything he said and similarly repudiated the mechanic who stood poised to charge me a ton of cash for a false diagnosis. Thank you Scott! I don't know who the boss is, or if that's Scott himself, but I will absolutely tell everyone to take their business to this truly excellent shop. read more

I needed to get a new vapor canister for my smog so i did i hooked it up asked a couple of mechanics if was OK they said yes so i tried to go get my free retest and the guy tells me he can't do the test because the canister is not hooked up right. 7 Days certainly made my day more than once! I took my 91 Chevy Truck into the shop, you know the kind that is dicey to smog but worth keeping. Well, it failed and the guys explained in detail the work I needed to have done to pass smog. After some expensive work on my truck and my free retest, the vehicle just barely failed again. : ( Robert the owner, was very involved in both tests including recognizing me when I returned and authentically shared my disappointment both times. Not only did he say that he wished there was something he could do to help, he did. He gave me an unusual 2nd retest after I had more work done and I passed with flying colors! This saved me the cost of another smog, much more disappointment and earned my business and referrals. I found 7 Days A Week Smog Test to be a really quick, easy experience! Everyone was super friendly and very efficient and my smog was finished in half an hour. It is a Sunday morning and I have to register my car by tomorrow. I didn't think that I'd be able to get it done on a Sunday, but I found the website for 7 days a week smog test and arrived just after they had opened. The technician told me about all the complimentary stuff in the waiting room such as free wifi, snacks and drinks, all in a clean environment. They also have two desktop computers for customers to use! They were friendly, professional, and I got $20 off having gone to their website first.
