We stopped by around 11:00-11:30 a.m., thinking the morning rush would be over, but the place was still packed. After trying it, I can definitely see why. They had already sold out of all their pastries, which says a lot about how busy they are, but the coffee was amazing. I ordered the iced maple salt latte with oat milk, and it was so good. My son got the bourbon caramel latte, and he loved his too. The shop itself is small, but there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. What impressed me most was that there were only two employees working, and they handled the crowd incredibly well. They kept things moving, acknowledged customers as they came in and when it was their turn to order, and were still kind and friendly. The café was also very clean and well kept. For there to be only two people working and the crowd they had at 11 o'clock, I'm sure it had probably been busy all morning. Even so, everything was clean and organized. Great coffee, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Also, I would say this place probably has the best cafe matcha in the High Desert. Compared to everywhere else, the matcha flavor is strong and smooth, but it does taste homemade. The taro latte could use a lot of work. It tastes like melted vanilla ice cream. It can take a minute to get your drinks and order, but I think it's totally worth it to support the local businesses.

The Perks Panini was amazing, seriously one of the best I've had. Perfectly pressed, great flavors, no notes. And then there was the 32 oz carrot cake drink... out of this world doesn't even cover it. I don't know how they packed that much flavor into a cup but I was not complaining. She saw us walk in, and it took about 5 minutes before she acknowledged us and said she'd be with us. We honestly didn't mind waiting at first, but while standing there we could hear her personal conversation on the phone. At first we thought it was work related or maybe she was taking an order, but she was actually giving someone directions on how to post photos on her damn IG .SMH. When she finally took our order, one of my friends asked questions about the drink she wanted, and the employee was pretty short with her answers. My friend ended up getting what seemed like strawberry milk instead of the coffee drink with strawberry foam/syrup she expected, so unfortunately her drink was kind of a mess. Me and my other friend got the Seattle Freeze, and that was actually really good super delicious. We sat down and about 10minutes later she went right back on the phone. Another customer came in a couple with their kid and this time she clearly saw them walk in. The customers stood there waiting and looking at her, but she still didn't acknowledge them. Then she says whoever she was talking to on the phone..." Oh...customers just walked in" when the customers had literally been standing there already watching her. This is unprofessional ..customers were not a priority at all. The wait itself wasn't the issue, it was more the fact that she didn't seem to care.

No, I could place a second order to get the fried rice. Ok, whatever, I'll take the steamed rice. The Orange Chicken was like rubber. I tried to bite a piece in half and it wouldn't pull apart, so the whole piece went in my mouth and I had to use my fingers to pull it apart which was embarrassing on a first date! It didn't taste good either. I looked for a knife in the plastic silverware, but there was none. I then went for a bite of the rice and it was so stuck together that I really had to jam my fork into it. It had no flavor at all and I was not offered any kind of sauce for it. I got some salt, but it didn't help. It had obviously been in a cup and turned over on a plate (there was no bowl) so I don't see why they couldn't have substituted the fried rice. The carrots were rubbery too. The only thing half way good was the broccoli. I opted for water to drink because I couldn't see paying over $6 for flavored ice tea. I didn't want my date to feel bad for buying me such a horrible meal, so I managed to get a couple of bites down. He asked if I wanted a box. No, but I said yes, again not wanting him to feel bad. I tried the Orange Chicken again when I got home, using my paring knife, and it was still so bad that I threw the whole thing away. There were only 6-8 people in the place, but it was so noisy that I had to keep asking my date to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him. I was looking forward to a new place to eat and the online menu looked so great... How sad.

I normally do not like fried or grilled tofu but this was different. Nice crunch on the outside and super creamy on the inside. They have a pink sauce in little packets and it is really good on the crunchy tofu. Not too sweet and just the right flavor. I also had a mango green tea with Boba. Of course it was delicious just the right amount of mango but it was sweet. The second time I visited I tried the shrimp chow mein and the crunchy tofu again and I tried peach black tea with Boba. The tea was delicious and sweet but really nice. I'm not sure how you could make that horrible. The shrimp chow mein was just OK to me. The noodles seemed gummy and I'm not used to that. We also had the sautéed gyoza. The first batch came out burnt, but they were very nice and very accommodating when we brought them back and they brought us another order that was perfect and delicious. By the way we ordered vegetarian Gyoza and it was surprisingly good. I have also had the Ramen at this restaurant and it is also excellent . Many choices and they're really good about cooking what you need. This is not a fancy place but the food is great and the girls at the order desk are really sweet!

We were really looking forward to a solid caffeine break... but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. I ordered a vanilla frozen coffee, and it honestly tasted like... nothing. It lacked sweetness, flavor depth, and that strong coffee kick you expect from a frozen drink. It just felt very flat. My husband got the Spanish latte, which should have been rich and slightly sweet with condensed milk flavor but instead, it tasted watered down. It didn't have that bold espresso taste we were hoping for. We also grabbed a cinnamon roll, which I was genuinely excited about. Sadly, that might have been the biggest letdown. It was cold, dry, and just not good. The texture and flavor were off honestly one of the worst cinnamon rolls I've had. When you're on a road trip, you want that warm, comforting pastry moment... and this wasn't it. Maybe it was an off day, but overall the drinks lacked flavor and the pastry missed the mark. It wasn't terrible service-wise just disappointing from a quality standpoint. Would I stop again on another road trip? Probably not. There are just too many great coffee spots out there to settle for something this underwhelming.

Same young man listened and said he "has to talk to the big boss" and could he give me a call in a few minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and he called back. He then said, "unfortunately the Manger in charge of refunds isn't in until tomorrow" (so, I guess the Big Boss can't issue refund or replacement) Now I have to wait for a call tomorrow to see IF they will do something for us. But the young man did, in a round about way blame the customer. "The lid was placed on it properly. We don't have control over when it leaves the building" I explained that the drive home shook the hummus off the baklava and the lid popped off, so it's our fault? He said, "I didn't say that. I'm saying there are a hundred different variables that could have cause this".... but none of them is the restaurants fault... Right? I'll have another update tomorrow when/IF I get a call. Hubby & I went here for lunch today. When we walked in we were greeted by a young man. He said we could sit anywhere we'd like and he'd be right over with menus. There was one table with patrons. We waited maybe 5 minutes and finally a young lady from the back asked if we had menus yet. No. So SHE brought us menus. Then the young man came by, friendly and politely although not very punctual said "what can I get you to drink?" Easy order. Iced tea and a Diet Coke. We ordered our lunches at that time because it was a long while before he finally came over. I got my pita, hummus and salad from the lady in the kitchen BEFORE our drinks. Waited. Waited. Waited. Hubby finally flagged him over and said, "Can we get our drinks now?" "Oh yeah. Ill be right back with those" He ended up serving the only other table their food before finally coming back with our drinks. I was already irritated. Maybe a little hangry. But, at that point I was over it. We never got a check. Walked to the register and told him we were done. We did take baklava and hummus to go. 2 lunches, 2 drinks, baklava and hummus. $80??? We finally got the hummus and baklava home. The young man apparently stacked the hummus on top of the baklava. During the drive, it must have slid off the baklava and all the oil and hummus leaked out of the container and all over the baklava and bag. Hubby was so disappointed, he threw the whole thing away. So, I guess, 2 lunches and some oily trash for $80 and HORRIBLE customer service. Giving 2 stars because what we DID actually eat was good. I wish I would have gotten the garlic paste the young man said he'd bring me. And wish we would have gotten to try the baklava we spent $27 on. Horrible experience. Won't be going back.
