This was our first visit to Solo Brew & Roasters in Apple Valley, and now I understand why it's so popular. We stopped by around 11:00-11:30 a.m., thinking the morning rush would be over, but the place was still packed. After trying it, I can definitely see why. They had already sold out of all their pastries, which says a lot about how busy they are, but the coffee was amazing. I ordered the iced maple salt latte with oat milk, and it was so good. My son got the bourbon caramel latte, and he loved his too. The shop itself is small, but there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. What impressed me most was that there were only two employees working, and they handled the crowd incredibly well. They kept things moving, acknowledged customers as they came in and when it was their turn to order, and were still kind and friendly. The café was also very clean and well kept. For there to be only two people working and the crowd they had at 11 o'clock, I'm sure it had probably been busy all morning. Even so, everything was clean and organized. I am a latte girl at heart and always on the hunt for new local spots that serve high quality coffee with the right combination of coffee, creamer and flavor. I had been wanting to try this place for quite sometime after recommendations from coworkers. I finally went early before work and I ordered the peanut butter latte hot. There is no coffee shops like this in the high desert. Every drink that I have tried has been incredible. Even their seasonal drinks are always a hit. The owners are so polite and friendly, which makes you feel welcome. It is always busy, but the place is clean and well organized. I still have not tried any of the pastries because they are always sold out when I go in, but I will have to go in earlier. I recommend the Maple Salt Latte, but if you want no caffeine, the Blue Dream is incredible. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any drink though! read more

I like this place! I've tried a variety of drinks, and I have to say I do prefer the hot drinks. I would recommend the cappuccino and the London fog. Also, I would say this place probably has the best cafe matcha in the High Desert. Compared to everywhere else, the matcha flavor is strong and smooth, but it does taste homemade. The taro latte could use a lot of work. It tastes like melted vanilla ice cream. It can take a minute to get your drinks and order, but I think it's totally worth it to support the local businesses. read more

We absolutely love this business and their product , a good cup of coffee. We have a particular palate for deliciously brewed coffee and most places can't do it right. Most places make it too watery or the syrup doesn't taste good or the ratio of milk coffee and syrup is completely off. To us... they are comparable to Klatch with the full flavor and even still klatch doesn't always get it right depending on who's on shift that day. Here they get it right every time.
