Ahhh, there is something welcoming about a 7-Eleven. No matter where you go, when you see one you…read moreknow you can get a big gulp and various junk food and all is right with the world! This one is across from Medical City. Nice and new. Gas pumps, red box, all the normal 7-eleven amenities! Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven is right!

Before this lovely new 7-11 popped up, there was a really, really shitty Chevron station here. It's…read morea corner lot and the former gas station sat parallel to Forest, smack in the middle of the lot, and it was just a general struggle to drive in, park, or breathe. Plus the station was gross, and the gas was always way more expensive than the racetrac down the street. Well thank heavens (see what I did there? 7-eleven slogan, you're welcome) they knocked down the eye sore and started fresh. They built a shiny building towards the back of the lot, facing 75. The gas pumps are in front and now it's SO much easier to get in and get out. The pumps are all brand new, and the keypads for entering zips and debit pins are actual buttons. The inside of the store is filled to the brim with choices just like any other 7-11. Everything looked really well organized and well stocked. Coffee station is towards the back and they offer a plethora of sweetening options compete with syrups and different flavored creamers. And, not going to lie, as the hot summer months are upon us, I'm very excited about having slurpees at such easy access to me! Oh, and nachos. I have fond childhood memories of slurpees and nachos, don't ruin my dreams. Maybe even a hotdog. What? The employees were all really nice, and a few called out good morning as I entered, and thanked me for coming in. My coffee came out to 1.29 and I handed the cashier a dollar bill and 2 quarters. He handed me back my other quarter and bid me a good day. Suh-wheet. I don't have a place for pennies in my change holder anyway! And we all love quarters. Don't lie. Edit: Air machine! Retractable hose, hard to pull and refill for me. .75 cents, standard as far as that goes.

To grad a tea and they use to be the best , but switched to an automated system where all the tea flavors or plain comes out of 2 spouts. I stop at this convenience store almost every day after I get off work. I first entered the store…read moreand went to the male bathroom. Wadded up paper towels were all over the floor and in all three sinks. I then went to the uranyl and there was feces in it. I went to wash my hands and there were no paper towels in one dispenser and 2 in the other. I then went to the counter where a male and female associate were talking and the gray haired manager was counting down a register (which I find odd that he was counting a large amount of cash) but hey it's your store. The male sales assistant called me up. I asked "Can I get one box of Marlboro Lights and 1 box of Marlboro Lights 100s". He replied "you want 1 cigarette or a box". I repeated what I said and again he said just one cigarette. Both associates laughed. The female sales associate said "if you say box we get confused". The manager at the other register ignored the entire situation. I usually don't go to this location at night during the day they are on it. Since your associates don't know what a box is I'll just drive one block up to 7-11 who does mind taking my money and they say thank you too. Ridiculous especially in this economy.

Amazing coffee spot in a cool Walnut Hill complex…read more I like the vibe here and their coffee is always on point. I've only been during the day and always spend a little time working before a coffee meeting. The WiFi is always good and the coffee is great. The ambiance is very open and inviting as well. They serve small bites as well but I haven't really partaken. Additionally, I think they have several beers on tap and they appear to all be cool local brews. If you're looking for a good local coffee shop with a vibe, this may be your new spot!!

This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.
