The store in the Enchanted Lakes neighborhood is clean, but the store appears to be on the older side, as compared to the Safeway store I normally shop at - Kapahulu branch. The folks who work at this Enchanted Lakes store were very friendly & helpful as several workers came up to me offering their help/assistance when I came to the store to fix something in their office. I swear if I lived in the Kailua neighborhood, I would totally shop at this store due to the friendliness of the staff. Parking here is easy, as the supermarket is situated at a small strip mall where the parking is shared by other business nearby.

I did use the app, but also went back into line because there are a few things without upc codes, such as my hot char siu bao! So for those items, sorry, you'll need to stay in line;)! There are upc codes to scan for things like coffee, though, so check it out when you're in a rush! Oh, and because there's Boston Pizza, a Hele gas and e charging station, there's more parking than at a usual 7-11. Did I mention you also earn rewards? Like discounts and free Slurpees? There is 12 pumps, i think. They are crammed into a small corner of a parking lot that has a few stores and a 7-11. Bit the gas station has it's own attendant and isnt associated with 7-11 at all, so dont get them confused. Anyway, besides the love of the location, the reason for the 3 star review is because I rarely use my card at gas pumps because I dont trust card machines at gas stations. So, I always take cash to the attendant. I wouldn't have any issue doing so except that they tend to ignore the customers at the window and love to finish whatever they are doing on their cell phones before even acknowledging that there is someone at the window. Normally this wouldn't be a cause for concern of it were a one time thing, but it's not. It's an all of the time thing. It's just frustrating that you don't want to deal with customers when you work in customer service.

Departing ohana left it behind and I read that it is best to have the sea or the woods reclaim the lei in keeping with Hawaiian customs. Upon returning home, I discovered a family of birds must have eaten something that disagreed with their stomachs, because the closest bathroom they could find was my car windshield and passenger side windows! The Aloha Gas Station/mini-mart/7-11 are all in one. I pulled into the lot to grab some napkins, and a light snack to serve as my own supper. The one attendant was polite, nice, and I found something healthy to eat. I also got some napkins to clean the windows....While not at all comparable to the super 7-11s in Japan, this one was pretty well stocked with all kinds of food and emergency supplies one might need on the road. There were several people in the store and we were done, paid, and out in no time. Right down the road from Castle Medical Center, it's very convenient for traffic coming to and from Kailua.
