Lucky's Exotic Bodega sells everything non healthy - import candy, chocolate, cereal, vapes, chips ... think sugar, sugar & more sugar. Several competitors have opened up in Metro Vancouver to satisfy this sugar fix sweeping town. I've been invading LEB for a couple of years now & love the product. Import Cheetos, British Cadburys, European candy, various Mexican chips, Mamba chewies, Mirinda Strawberry pop out of Paris ... ok don't let me get started - I won't stop! See my other reviews for more pix. This marks the 4th location for LEB, so there's bound to be one close to your neighborhood - use the Google. This NorthVan location is smaller than the Hastings St (EastVan) & Knight+41st Ave locations. There's plenty shops & restaurants to check out on this high street part of Lonsdale Ave. Make time to spend at least a couple hours up here.

Three minutes on the highway, I realized I had forgotten to pump my gas. As quickly as possible, I drove back to the gas station. With my receipt in hand, I asked the Manager for the gas I purchased. He refused. He insisted he was not responsible to deliver the product. Once it's paid for, he doesn't care what happens. When I asked for the head office phone number, I was given a number for somewhere in the States. They told me it was up to the Station Manager. In brief this gas station has a licence to take your money and tell you to hit the bricks.

I went into the Queensbury Market ten days ago to pick up a "Bang" energy drink for my son. I abruptly notified staff of the mouse, and the cashier wanted me to "watch the mouse" while she was on the phone. I proceeded to tell her no I cannot do that, as the mouse was running around and she did not get off of the phone to tend to the rodent; rather she assumed a costumer would. While I was in shock, another customer walked into the store after I saw the rodent, and the cashier did not take action against the rodent and left it to roam the Market. The large rodent still may be there. I made sure to leave quickly to avoid contact with the specimen.

Took myself out on a solo date and got curious to try Loam Bistro's pistachio French toast. It…read moreseems they've since replaced the original version (with pistachio crème and ice cream) with a seasonal pistachio strawberry French toast ($21). I also got an Americano ($4.50), which tasted alright. Having a tangier fruit like strawberry provided a nice contrast to the sweetness of the French toast. However, I found the pistachio sauce to be quite weak and milky, so I'd suggest making it more pistachio-forward. This is especially noticeable since they use milk bread rather than a richer option like brioche, which left the overall dish lacking the flavour punch I was hoping for. That said, I found their food and drink options more unique compared to a standard brunch menu, so I'd be interested in returning with a bigger group to try more items. Their Thai chocolate and pistachio latte sound especially interesting!
