This place has quickly become a staple every time I am in SLC and with a seasonal rotating menu, plus all the normal coffee shop classics, there's something for everyone. Matcha is great, chai is solid, coffee is great and they even have a decent selection of other teas. Don't even get me started on the assortment of breakfast foods and pastries (wonderful)! Their sourdough toast is a must and boasts an array of fresh toppings to choose from that anyone can find something they'll like. Price is average. Service is quick and friendly. Presentation is nice-enough (nothing to gawk at). There are minimal outlets but lots of seating indoor and outdoor, but there is seemingly always a line so that must mean the locals love it too. I'd come early! Oh! They also have a board full of community events and a local artist sticker machine which makes me excited every time I'm in town. For this visit, I got an iced oat banana matcha and a sourdough slice w ricotta and seasonal berries. The matcha was buttery and smooth, well mixed, and lightly sweet. You can definitely taste the banana but it is minimal, which I like. The toast came warm and soft and crispy in all the right places. Blackberries and blueberries were juicy and complimented the cheese/bread nicely. The honey added the softest sweetness, tying it all together.

I dropped by hoping to grab a whole cake for his special birthday and was greeted by 2 friendly employees immediately. They let me know they would be right with me as they were both busy, I appreciated the friendly acknowledgement. I was happy to see a variety of whole cakes available as well as other desserts and pastries. I chose one of their beautiful carrot cakes. I also got a morning bun and quiche to share. They were both delicious. The cake was neatly boxed up and handed with a friendly reminder to allow the chill to wear off before serving. It was one of the best carrot cakes we ever had, I may rely on them every year! Thank you for the convenient and friendly service as well as the delicious food!

I spoke to the gentleman who took my order and he raved about the cake, stated it was a shame they only made it once a year, etc. - all this to say, I certainly ordered and paid for the special cake. Flash forward to today when I break open the box to dish out the cake. It's not the cake. It's an olive oil cake, which is fine if you like it, my mother does not. Was Mother's Day ruined, no. But paying 50.00 dollars and driving to order the cake, then days later driving to pick up the cake, only for them to give me a cake you can literally get everyday is just wrong. So very saddened by this.

They use really small delicious crunchable ice, so I don't even mind getting to the bottom of my drink :) I'm not a coffee person generally, but the Nina Simone (Americano with mocha) is yummy as well! The bakery items are also delicious and totally worth it for a snack to go with a drink. The basil pesto roll comes with a spicy sauce and is so yum. The baristas are always very friendly and quick with drinks, and I love the nooks of goods and art from local artists. The seating inside is cozy and clean - I like to claim one of the leather chairs and sit with a book for a while. My favorite local cafe!

Not only were the drinks and the food wonderful , but the atmosphere was so warm , peaceful , and the staff are so welcoming and sweet . It's definitely a place worth taking the time to sit and enjoy a slow morning with some coffee and a pastry. I'd come back to this place every time I come to Utah .
