I want to like shopping here because it is close to my home. But their selections are small and the shelves are poorly stocked. I als found many of the employees to be disgruntled and unfriendly. I will now be shopping at other supermarkets and this Macey's will be my last choice. read more

I am not a particular fan of Macey's. I have fond memories of ice cream cones from my youth, because duh. And they know what they are doing as happy kids = happy shopping for parents. But as an adult without kids, their stores hold little appeal. Most are older, and with an unclear focus that is sort of regular grocery store, but limited variety, but also sort of Costco-style bulk goods...I just don't really like 'em. This Murray location, though, is clean and new, open and well-lit, creating a much more pleasant shopping experience. I don't know if I've missed this at other Macey's, but here I noticed many more local products: Cosset bath bombs and soaps, Deziria chocolate, Beehive, Heber Valley, and Hollow Farms cheeses, to name a few. They have a decent produce selection, with attractive displays. In addition to their Kong Cones, they also offer Dole Whip (again, maybe that's available elsewhere, but I've never noticed it). In that same area of the store they host a variety of prepared foods and the bakery. Their small-ish selection of self-serve bulk goodies includes candy, nuts, and granola, but most importantly, Haribo white grapefruit slices, which are THE BEST GUMMIES EVER. Lastly, there is a Starbucks in-store with a nice seating area behind, surrounded by windows. I did not interact with any employees as I used the self-check out, so cannot speak to customer service. But basically, I still have plenty of grocery stores I'd prefer, however if in the area, or for some reason seeking a Macey's in particular, this would be my first choice. read more

Love this store it's on the way home from work and close to home so I usually stop here for needed ingredients for dinners. Last night I stopped in for just a few items got some amazing, fresh, crunchy cucumbers for my rice dish latley I been on a rice kick so I am excited to see what to come up with next. Macey's is my favorite grocery store in the Murray area. For a popular store, it's pretty clean and well-kept--the store remodel a couple of years back definitely helped. The produce section, deli, and bakery offer fresh choices every day. While grocery prices are pretty average, Macey's runs some pretty solid sales--it's worth checking their ads before you go in if you can. This location has a Starbucks, which is perfect for a cold winter day. And don't forget to grab a Kong Kone or Dole Whip--two frozen treats to delight anyone who walks into Macey's (seriously, one of the best perks of shopping here)! read more

Macey's has been making moves lately. This place used to be an Albertsons, which turned into Fresh Market, and now has become Macey's. That's the case in a few spots around town (Olympus Hills Dan's is now a Macey's, too) and when they make the conversion, they spruce it up real nice inside. I never visited the Fresh Market, so I dunno what improvements were made with the change, but when I went in today it was a pretty big difference between this store an the Sandy one, where I had just come from. The produce section has that wave of peppers/cucumbers that make interesting color, if not a bit of a superfluous touch. So I came in search of one thing from their ad, and not seeing it, I asked the produce associate. He was helpful, and informed me that the particular item I was after had indeed come in the night before, but the product wasn't up to standard so they chose not to sell it. I appreciated the candor, and being able to get an answer quickly, though I did end up leaving empty handed on the first day of the sale price on the item. Super customer service, if not disappointing to find they had zero of what I was looking for. Be sure to check out all the counters, and of course the fabled Kong Kone. I think (?) I saw signage here that they sell it and it's never a bad idea. read more

Kong Kones!! Vanilla, chocolate or a combo of them. Sample, baby, mama, dada or king size. Oh, and they have groceries. We had to walk all the way to the back to get butter. They have freezer cases on both sides of the store. They have flowers, a deli, bakery, bank and pharmacy. Good prices and sales. Fresh produce. Nice employees. Big parking lot. I wasn't too sure about this grocery when it first opened. It seemed to lack a lot of the specialty items that stores like Harmon's or even Smith's carry on the regular. But it's improved quite a bit (killer cheese selection, hooray), and I think the prices are much better than the other two stores. I feel safer in this Macey's than my local Smith's. The store is clean, everyone working is masked. Customers are also wearing masks. There is room for distancing and it is usually not crowded. The missing star is only because the store is small and there are times I can't find an item or a brand I'm looking for. read more

I went to this Macey's for the second time ever. I was treated so disrespectfully and spoken to with such patronizing language when all I was trying to do was buy my groceries, all because my phone number wasn't yet in their system. I left the store crying and humiliated. When I called them to talk about it, the woman on the phone was defensive. They told me I could still purchase my groceries but I had to pay full price for them. I asked if there was a manager's card I could use, literally just that time, and again was rudely told that my option was to pay full price. As I was crying because of their treatment and disrespect, I asked for instructions on how to "enter my card into the system," as she pointed to the cash register, and she wouldn't give me the instructions which were on a card the size of a business card. Finally, when another employee approached and looked at her with embarrassment and frustration, the checker finally handed over the card. The treatment I received happened both times I went to that location (100%). read more

Eh... It's a grocery store. Lol I don't really shop here because it's just not where I shop. But I end up here a lot for redbox and drinks because it's close to my residence AND the Starbucks in here is pretty amaze-balls. This may be my new favorite grocery store! The remodel from Albertsons to Macey's gave the area a face lift! I've been really impressed with the many options they have that are convenient...they have both healthy and items to indulge! Try their made to order salads or sandwiches, but if you are in a hurry, don't be shocked that they aren't the quickest. You'll be in sweet tooth heaven with the plethora of baked goods you'll find in the bakery! read more

I'm here often as it's down the street from where I live. They don't have everything, but it's convenient and not a huge store. Everything is easy to find. A bit pricey, but at the same time, they have good sales. Employees are very friendly and it's a nice clean store. In addition, there's a Starbucks in the store. read more

The prices aren't the best at Fresh Market, but it is the cleanest Fresh Market I have visited. Thank heavens, because this happens to be the one I visit most often for a quick pick-up. I've always found what I want in stock, never picked up an expired product on the shelf, and do find great sales once in awhile. The two best aspects of this place are: 1. You can run in and run out in less than five minutes, which includes parking. The workers are friendly and don't bother you unless you need help. 2. The flowers. The floral section is very tiny, but I have purchased many a bouquet here for friends in a show or having a bad day, and they always stay fresh for awhile and are quite reasonably priced if you get whatever is on sale. I've had more success with the beauty and duration of these bouquets than with Smith's, Target, or Walmart. Sam's club always has THE best flowers, but is not a quick, convenient stop. read more

There customer service is lacking. The employees just walk passed you without a simple hello or acknowledgement. You ask for help and it's like you're bothering them. The customers they do know, they can block aisle walk ways and chat and just stare at you if you try to cross. Not the best. This grocery store is very close to my home. Whenever I need something I bop over there and usually find what I need. The plus to this grocer is it has; Red box, Starbucks, and a WellsFargo. It's produce is ok and its deli is horrible. Every deli made item I have tried has been extremely disappointing and over priced. They could really work on that. I have purchased organic veggies that ended up being bad on multiple occasions. I like this place only because it is convenient in location for me, that's about it. read more

Love this place! It is close to home and generally has everything I am looking for when I shop. I especially love the deli! Their chicken is the best in town. I even like their chicken over KFC! Also, the deli people are very nice, courteous and always willing to help. I would definitely recommend this store. read more
