Always enjoyed their matcha & mango/peach cold brew tea. Their ice consistency is great too. They have a drive thru but there's kinda an issue with it. If it gets too packed it's just a terrible set up that can lead to the street. Also there's a part of the drive thru that is lifted so if you don't know about that your car can be halfway lifted while waiting in line for your drink and idk I think that can be a hazard incase it backs to to the car behind. I'll always love the coffee itself from CBTL but not the service as of late. They are very slow during the morning rushes. Don't get in the drive-thru in the morning, they've attempted to manage the long line by taking the innout approach but they are still extremely slow. At times I've waited 30 mins in the drive through for a drink and a pastry, other times I've simply left without purchasing. On top of closing most of their locations, I'm not sure how they'll sustain their footprint in San Diego, which is sad. My best advice is mobile order ahead and then walk in to get your items, the drive through is maddening. Love their product just wish the service was better. read more

Winter favorites are back!! I love this time of year and I couldn't resist their holiday in a cup. I came in the morning and the drive thru had 5 cars in front of me. I needed my cup of happiness, so I didn't mind the wait. The line moved fairly quick and I didn't wait long at all. I ordered the large cookie butter latte ( small comes with 2 shots and large comes with 3 shots of espresso). I had it made with half the sweetener and non fat milk. The drink had good flavor and the perfect amount of sweetness. The individual taking my order was friendly and helpful. I didn't feel rushed and I appreciated the recommendations. He said the cheese jalapeño bagel was good. So, why not. It didn't disappoint and was bomb. Hit the spot and had great flavor. Definitely worth trying. This is my go to spot with my son when we have our mommy/son dates on the weekend. Absolutely love that I can order drinks without caffeine for him to enjoy. This Coffee Bean is in a stand-alone building, with a drive-thru, in front of a strip shopping center. [My dry cleaner and barber shop were also in this center.] Service here is friendly. I came here to get some of their powdered coffee and coffee beans (which they can grind for you, just let them know) and they were having a deal if you buy two or more you get a certain percentage off and a free coffee. Which is a great deal. I also got their jasmine green tea which I have heard great things about and I wanted to try it. The service when I was ordering and placing my order was great. But when I was waiting for my order to be made which was just tea and a simple black coffee took about 30 minutes or longer when it shouldn't have. They weren't busy in there. I was waiting patiently for my drinks and when I went up to an employee to ask about my drinks and showed her my receipt she looked clueless. I am not sure what was going on that day but I shouldn't be waiting that long for something so simple when the place was not busy and empty. The employee who took my order in the beginning apologized and made my drinks but if I never said anything I would be waiting for ever. There is plenty of seating inside. There is plenty of parking. Anything one is in the area, this place always makes the day better Most coffee drinks tend to be on the sweeter side, but love thag you can change up the sweetness level and they have a nice variety to seasonal drinks. I've gone through drive thru and inside the store at this location and every time, it has been great service and friendly staff. The inside is always clean and bright. I've spoken to the manager a few times because the manager has asked my opinion on foods and I can tell management genuinely cares about the place. The Cookie Butter blended had always been my go to. It tastes close to a butterscotch flavor to me. I tried the new Iced Brown Sugar Latte with Boba and Oat milk. I really enjoyed it. Not too sweet and I could have used a bit more boba but still decent . The pesto and Turkey sandwich was good too. Enough turkey for me to taste it and not too bready and the pesto was present as well. I've had the brownie and it tasted pretty good too. It was chewy and fresh and chocolatey. This place is one of the better coffee shops. The espresso doesn't taste burnt, and it has a strong taste. Granted, I got 4 shots of espresso on ice with half half, vanilla powder, and caramel drizzle. It was delicious!! I wish I lived closer to coffee beans because writing this makes me want another one. So I've been here twice to get this coconut cream ube vanilla latte with boba. The first time was in the afternoon and they didn't have the boba said it would take 16 mins to make so I decided no I'll get it without maybe it's not ordered a lot in the afternoon. So when I go today I don't know if it's training, I don't know if you sound system doesn't work well, but the girl in the headset is having trouble understanding that I want the coconut cream ube vanilla latte with boba. I read it off to her she and we have a whole back and forth about if I said I wanted oatill dominant it regular whe. I asked for large all to come to the conclusion that at 8:30am they also don't have boba for the drink. I've become a Coffee Bean fan. Every Saturday I would treat myself to an ice coffee because my daughter has therapy. I love having the option to do drive through, ordering online and ordering inside. I'm always on the go, their online app system is very user friendly. My drive through experience was all really good. Every time I order they have me amazing services. I would recommend iced cookie butter latte, it's sweet and delicious. Today I'm trying Pumpkin dry iced Americano with half and half. I'm sensitive to caffeine so I do 2/3 decaf. The employees at this location have a really hard time of hearing the customer through their ordering system. Either get better headsets or get a new speaker system. I've been having to order through the app instead because of the employees not able to hear the customer. I also don't like how there is a specific employee (don't know their name exactly), but I personally don't like how they're saying "my love; beautiful; etc." They also seem to not have whip cream just about every time I come here. I love coffee bean in general, but this location is always struggling to get drinks out accurate and in a timely manner. I can't remember the last time I got my drink in under ten minutes, which is a feat considering I tend to (not always!) mobile order. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and always request my drink sweetness/flavor level to be reduced otherwise I literally can not consume it without going into diabetic shock. Three out of the five times I've been to this location, I drive away to realize that the sweetness level has not been adjusted although clearly marked on the label. This means I've paid my money and waited over ten minutes for a drink I can't consume. I'm giving two stars instead of one because 2/5 of the time it was okay! Also, clearly, the staff there is doing something as the always are working and looking deeply stressed. However what it is they're doing, I couldn't tell you. read more

If you haven't heard of this, it's an app that allows you to pay a small fee ($3-5) for a restaurants products that are unsold but too good to just be thrown out. This is my favorite Coffee Bean location because it's the closest one to me with a drive-thru! The line here moves constantly and I don't think I've been stuck in a line, waiting awhile. The staff are friendly and pretty accurate with my orders. They prepared my drinks the way it was ordered and I haven't experienced a mix-up or inconsistency with how specific drinks were made. I'm a regular mocha person and my mochas were made perfect every time! Never had an issue with it being watered down or too strong. I have to make note of their ice...their ice is the best kind of ice I've ever had! I've been trying to find a home ice machine that makes ice as small little round specs, they're perfect for iced drinks! Fair to add that all coffee bean stores have this ice machine! In the store, there are many selections of teas and coffee beans, mugs, and accessories to choose from. They serve pastries and offer to serve it warm when ordered, the store is kept clean and the seating area is convenient and Wi-Fi are accommodating for students. The open, airy space gave room for many to enjoy their own groups, Ambiance is relaxing with background music playing. Noise level is average for a coffee shop. read more
