I wonder how many innovations and scientific discoveries were powered by caffeine. Personally, many of my college/university study sessions and night shifts have been fueled by caffeine. One of the places I get my caffeine fix is at 7-eleven. I love this 7-eleven location. I come here frequently because they brew coffee fresh every morning. I live a little closer to the location up the road (also on Linda Vista Road), but more often than not, they only have one flavor of coffee brewed. I enjoy the variety of roasts and flavors they serve at this location. I like that they have a ton of choices on creamers and sweeteners. You also have options for serving size: small, medium, large, and extra large. I should probably invest in a coffee maker or Keurig, but I feel like I don't drink enough coffee to warrant purchasing one. My wife and friends would probably say otherwise. Aside from coffee, you can also grab snacks, candy, baked goods, and other food items. They've got lotto, alcohol, and an ATM... all the standard stuff you find at 7-eleven. Typical 7-11. I gave 2 stars for the staff that is generally pleasant and helpful. I gave 1 star for the consistent specials they have on bottled drinks and my favorite gum. Then I subtracted 1 star for all the activity that goes on directly in front of the store. This is my neighborhood 7-11 and to be honest, there's way too much activity going on in the front of this store day and night. I'm constantly harassed by transients outside the store, both coming in and out. I watch as customers ranging from children to the elderly are also harassed. The parking lot to this 7-Eleven is commonly a home for many transient people making there way from the trolley nearby. I often find more people sitting outside than actually in the store. I mostly visit this 7 Eleven for the REDBOX located outside. Having that there more often then not draws me inside the actual store - smart move 7 Eleven! You can tell the owners take pride in the store. It's appearance is clean and tidy and usually well stocked. As other reviewers have stated, there is the occasional homeless person outside, but they've never bothered me, and rarely ask for anything either. The refill system is wonderful and the fountain drink choices are delightful. We've even frequented this place for the quick quart of milk or granola bar for breakfast, very convenient. The parking lot can be a nightmare as there are cars coming from four different directions, but be patient, there is plenty of space. read more

This reviews is from customer that has been coming here for six years. For the most part the morning crew is on point(good morning as soon as you walk in the door, always smiling) lines are long in the morning. The night and after crew are a different story. They don't speak English or very limited, looks of blink stares from them like they are judging your purchase. But the best part about the afternoon crew, out right lies to your face. I walked in twice to get a money order, first time was at 6pm they said the money order is closed, I asked what time it closes she has the nerve in front of me to look down at the time on the register and say 5pm ok this I can buy. The next time I come in at 2:30pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday to get a money order and the man behind the counter says no money order it's closed. I though you close at 5pm call over the on duty manager. Which doesn't speak English after much back and forth she gives me my money order and as I walk out I tell her don't lie to people you will get caught.
