I was in the area and wanted a hot coffee to warm up on a chilly day. This location was the closet to me as I was running a couple of errands in the area. It's right off of Rosecrans and the cross street Hancock St. I was able to order off my mobile app and noticed it's a drive through location only. Driving up, the location is a tiny store with immediate access to both streets. Always weary from ordering from a new location off my app, I pulled up through the drive through and I asked if they had received my order. He took a second and answered yes and directed me to drive up. Seriously the worst Starbucks ever. I ordered an ICED black tea with green tea and they gave me a HOT tea with tea packets. (?? What the actual f--.) And had the audacity to question my order in the drive thru. I am also too tired to deal with type of thing so I didn't even bother changing it. The tea itself was also nasty. We were driving heading to Point Loma. We found Starbucks which is one of our favorite places for coffee. Very rarely we go through drive thru but we were on borrowed time. The staff were wonderful and friendly with great service. We didn't need to wait for our coffee and breakfast. read more

This is one of the few locations I thought was the best, until some really really bad, lazy, reckless, horrible and irresponsible employee there decided to give me the wrong milk on purpose, which obviously you wouldnt assume that without proof, until I came back to get it changed and this female didnt apologize and with a disgusting nonchalant attitude asks me if I wanted it done again, i said: yes because this is not the right milk. Which is extremely important to me to be right, something apparently this extremely ignorant and immature person seems to not understand, so when I stare at her to make sure she was getting it right this time, I notice that she was opening a brand new milk of the one I requested, so basically not only did she decide for me if getting the right milk was truly important or not or thought that I wouldn't notice at all because she is that ignorant, but apparently she didn't find me worthy of opening a brand new jug of the milk my body legitimately needs. Horrible service. Drive thru attendant seemed miserable working here. Please find people that don't hate their job and take it out and give miserable service to the customer. I hope the district manager who manages this location makes some changes. Treated the attendant with respect and kindness and still got a horrible attitude and our order wrong. Headed on a little road trip we decided to stop by this Starbucks. We went via the drive-thru and it went by fairly fast. The barista was extremely nice. Our orders were correct and the quality was wonderful. The location wasn't ideal, it was very tight to navigate through with a bigger truck but overall no complaints! read more

Most unfriendly policy ever~ Try to order two drinks at the counter window. They won't open it, it has to be drive thru. I explain to them we drive a pickup truck, unable to fit the drive thru with our fishing rods. They said unfortunately we can't order the drinks then. Never been to this location and won't be back again they were literally out of everything the cashier was stoned or just dumb founded I had to constantly repeat myself. When I tried loading money to My Starbucks card from My PayPal account he didn't know how to do it and said you couldn't do that which makes no since because you get extra stars for uploading from PayPal. I can't believe I've yet to leave a review of my favorite Starbucks (of all time) especially for the past 3 years. I love this store, I love the convenience of this location it's super close to my office, really easy to access from the 8 highway both east and west. Of course I enjoy the espresso drinks, the cold brews are delicious. Seasonal drinks are always perfect. I've even gotten my boss into the frozen mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino and he is not a coffee person at all. Ok, so yeah, what's so special/awesome about the Hancock location?? The amazing team of wonderful humans who work here, who have made my morning coffee stop a joy, and always manage to make my morning routine that much more positive. This Starbucks is near my work (2 blocks away) No other coffee places near me so I often regrettably end up here and they always seem to f up my drinks. I order the oatmilk brown sugar dream and Im pretty sure they always put regular espresso instead of the blonde one cause its always bitter. I always ask for less shots and my drink is always dark af. Today I gave them another chance, asked for extra splash of oatmilk and did not lol. F this place. read more

Terrible service, I ordered a coffee with coconut milk and they serve almond milk, i saw the preparing it I did not say anything because I don't have an allergy to Nlnuts just wanted non dairy milk, but this could be very dangerous for someone else. Also ordered a frozen lemonade and was given just ice lemonade. I had to ask to please change it, and they charged me extra for that and extra for non dairy milk. The lady taking the order not polite, and both girls laughed like they made a bet like if i was going to tip or jot, I did not have to, but I still did the minimum, and they laughed. I'm writing a review specifically for Maria. I was having a bad day and I went to a different Starbucks to get a drink the cheer myself up and they made it completely wrong and it was just the cherry on top of a bad day. I went to this location to ask if they could fix my drink and she did and was just the kindest person ever. Her positivity genuinely brightened up my day. Before I left she thanked me for being patient because they were under staffed that day because someone called out and I couldn't even tell. Went through the drive thru ordered Carmel apple spice, got up to the window total was 6.25$, when I received my drink it wasn't the correct drink. I nicely let the girl know it wasn't what I ordered she apologized and gave me a new drink. When I asked if my drink was still 6.25$ she said yes, which didn't seem right I pulled up the Starbucks app and found out my drink was only 4.75$. I pointed it out to her and got a refund and paid what I was suppose too. I left the drive thru only to taste my drink was coffee, I turned around drove back and walked up to the window to return my drink again. My boyfriend and I just visited this store and let me tell you, they have the WORST customer service. They made my very simple drink wrong and when I asked if they could remake it, the barista rolled her eyes at me. Then it STILL wasn't right because the girl literally poured it into another cup to mix it, still having too many pumps of syrup. Your staff on April 21, 2019 at 4:30pm were rude and messed up our drink orders (WM no whip and GRTL with soy). When confirming my GRTL was with soy milk Hunter replied "you said coconut milk" "I can change it to soy but you said coconut" in a rude way. Like I'm sorry but this is my usual drink order and I know for a fact I said soy milk. We weren't even being rude about the mistakes we just wanted to make sure she had the right order. Even after that confirming my drink order they still got it wrong and when the other barista was handing it to us we told her it was wrong and she looked annoyed at us. Not the best Starbucks, but also not the worst. The convince of this location is everything. You can drive thru right before getting onto the 5 or 8 freeway. I've been here a few times and my drink is usually prepared well. They just sometimes forget small details; for example today I ordered egg white bites for breakfast with my coffee. My order was correct, but after I pulled away from the drive through I noticed I hadn't been given a fork or napkin for my egg white bites. I understand Starbucks is going green and you have to ask for a straw, etc. But I also would appreciate them being cognizant of customers whipping through the drive through and (most likely) dining in their cars. read more

Best Starbucks!! The employees are the best!! I have never had a bad experience here. Today when I drove thru the barista asked if I had ever tried their grasshopper style green tea frap.
