He recommended a few dishes, and we got a few of them, including the hummus, shirazi salad, lamb chops and beef koobideh. Everything was great, food-wise. Note, this is a Persian place, so their hummus is inherently going to be less acidic, but all the meat was cooked perfectly, salad was one of the best we've had, portions were big, and the service was amazing. Perfect with their warm pita bread! Maust Khiar- This is a creamy blend of yoghurt, spices, and minced cucumbers that add a nice crunch. It has a refreshing finish. I love pairing it with the meat. Shirazi Salad- This was a lovely mix of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and parsley, with a lemony dressing that ties all the bright flavors together. Tasty and healthy! Mint Yohgurt: very fresh and high quality yoghurt Chicken Kabob: WOW...I'm not sure where to start the rice was phenomenal and I honestly usually don't say anything about a side of rice at a restaurant but this is the most well cooked flavorful rice I've had. The chicken kebab was seasoned to perfection and cooked beautifully. This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had hands down. AND THE PORTIONS are killer. I tried this place out on a whim for a lunch break and the food was great and I enjoyed what I ate. Normally I'm used to Mediterranean food being overcooked especially when it comes to chicken, but their chicken tender from the plate I ordered was really moist and the flavoring and seasoning was just right that I didn't need to sauce it out even though it was there on the side. Our server was really nice and attentive as well. The inside of the restaurant is really nice and enjoy the option to eat out at the balcony facing the lively intersection of Magnolia St and Trask Ave. Although the parking is probably hogged up by the car shop, you can find parking out on the north side of Magnolia St along the right side facing northbound. The point where the fire lane ends is not far from the restaurant and the walk to the restaurant is doable. If you're worried about battling the northbound traffic of Magnolia to get out of your car, you can drive a bit further and park in the nearby neighborhood. I got marked up pictures showing you where you can go. It'd be a five minute walk if you were to park in the neighborhood. My suggestion is to come in from the South side going northbound of Magnolia St. or come in from the East side going westbound from Trask Ave. But yeah to the folks that work out here in Garden Grove, you should give this place a try during your lunch break .
