I absolutely love this boba place! They have a great variety of flavors - I often get Jasmine Milk Tea or Oolong Milk Tea but so many other options! I came here on a Saturday morning with a friend. We ordered the iced house coffee and their strawberry croissants. The iced house coffee was strong and not too sweet. I appreciate that they package it the way bubble tea places package their drinks. It's sealed so it prevents spills and leakage. The strawberry croissants were very good and had fresh strawberries inside. They come in packages of two or four. They have sandwiches but they didn't look that great. I think next time I would try their sea foam coffee or their Vietnamese coffee. I would come back if I'm ever in California. read more

Use to go to this 7 leaves often a few years ago when I attended Cypress College. The house coffee made here is very inconsistent and frequently below average compared to other locations. I'm reviewing based on my latest visit on 9/4/2022 at around 9:40 pm. I tried using my gift card for my house coffee and add-on as a upsize but was told I couldn't, even though other locations allow it. The cashier was pretty lifeless with dead eyes as she told me this, so I didn't push any further. She lacked customer service or was either burnt out, which didn't feel so welcoming. I love 7 leaves they have many locations but this one is my favorite! The plaza is a little tricky and difficult to get into and get parking but once you secure a spot it's all good. When you are able to go inside it's always clean and empty. The workers are nice, friendly, and fast. My go to top 3 drinks I always order in rotations are Love Cream (it's a "secret menu" item) it's basically jasmine milk tea and caramel, mung bean milk tea, and house coffee. Love cream is delicious the tea flavor is strong and the caramel adds more sweetness if you try this remember to stir it before taking a sip. The mung bean milk tea does not have a strong tea flavor it's more mung bean and it reminds me of Vietnamese desserts but lighter and not too sweet. The house coffee is so good very unique can't get it anywhere else but very strong a lot of caffeine it's not too sweet either but it is creamy and rich in flavor. The reason I like this location the most over others is because of the consistency of the drinks and boba, the drinks made here are always perfect in sweetness, flavor, have chewy boba and ice level. Grand opening for the newest location of 7 Leaves Cafe was yesterday on 2/20/14. Since I drive past it every day going home from work I figured I'd check it out. It's right next door to Frostbites. Per their website: "We strive to combine the most natural and fresh ingredients; using the world's finest coffee beans, Fair Trade tea leaves, and USDA organic ingredients to create healthy drinks without the cost of taste. Our Menu is a culmination of ingedients which allows you to indulge without guilt." Interior is beautifully decorated with a cozy yet modern vibe. Individual tables, long communal tables, and patio are available. Display case full of delicious colorful macarons entice you on the way to the register. I assume this place will get crazy busy since the college is across the street but I arrived at a good time(bit after 4pm). There were tons of people already drinking their drinks but nobody in line to order. Cashier was very friendly. I ordered their Sea-cream Jasmine tea with boba for myself and a sea-cream jasmine sans boba to bring home to my wife. I also got rosewater, butter pecan, and salted caramel macarons. The drinks were $2.95 + 40 cent boba surcharge. Macarons are $1.50 each. The "Sea-cream" is sweet cream, sea salt, and green tea matcha sprinkled on top. It's laid on top of a strongly brewed jasmine tea. Since the cup is sealed I was able to shake it up to mix it before putting in my straw. My wife and I both really enjoyed this drink. It wasn't overly sweet and you could really taste the jasmine tea. Boba were cooked perfectly. The macarons are the best I've had. Slight crispy outer layer, slightly chewy layer, creamy filling. Delicate yet packed for of flavor. I'm a big fan of rosewater deserts and I've had several macarons with this flavor and this one was perfect. The rosewater was just enough without being overpowering and the buttercream filling paired up perfectly. Butter Pecan tasted like you'd imagine. But man.... the salted caramel. For me, this was the mother of all salted caramel macarons. Granted, my macaron experience is limited but as of right now I can say it was the best I've had. Sooooo much frickin' caramel flavor crammed into such a tiny cookie. My wife and I were both moaning and groaning so much the neighbors probably thought we were having maritals. 2/21/14 update: I came in to try the house coffee. Manager recognized me and apologized for not giving me a punch card yesterday. Was given one today and they punched it for my purchases for both days. House coffee is fantastic! After seeing many of my Yelp peers check this place out and with me being an avid tea lover I knew it was just a matter of time before I tried this place out. My original stop was at a different location but this location being close to home is really my go to spot. In my multiple visits I have always ordered either the Black Halo or the Strawberry Hibiscus tea. The prices here are great at $3, and the drinks come out fast, fresh and always taste great. The Strawberry Hibiscus is my overall favorite to this point, it has great fruit flavor and is not overly sweet which I like. The Black Halo is a great blend of black teas that took me a few drinks to acclimate my tastes to but is also one of my go to drinks. Besides the drinks the service is also always stellar at this location. The drinks come out fast so even if there is a line (which hasn't been an issue during my visits) the wait times are quick. The staff is always willing to help you out with samples of each flavor if you are on the fence about getting something. I have tried the 7 Leaves Herbal Tea and Sunset Passion in small samples and may have added a third drink to my rotation in the Sunset Passion. I was not a fan of the Herbal Tea in my first sampling but perhaps this will also be something I grow to love. I also tried a sip of my wife's Sea Cream Jasmine and it is also something I can see my ordering down the line. The Cypress location has a decent amount of seating both inside and out and is very calm and serene when inside. The quote from Gandhi on the wall (also found on the back of the employees shirts) "Be The Change You Want To See In The World" is quite motivational and really exudes the same type of tranquility and relaxation you get when sipping on the tea itself. Overall this is my favorite location so far and I am definitely a fan of this place and their products. Somehow I reviewed all my other stops for 7 Leaves, but somehow forgot to write about my favorite one. Just like all their locations, there are quite a few options to choose from and the drinks are cheap at three dollars, tax included. You know what you will be paying. I believe all their choices are on the various pictures, in big size along the wall. For some reason the Black Halo is not up there but is also available. From what I heard they brought it back, so maybe it was discontinued for a while. As far as I know, this is the only drink not displayed, although my friend gets a Jasmine Milk Tea which is also not displayed. It could be a custom thing. The staff has always been nothing but amazing here, making this my favorite one so far. Always welcoming, always friendly, always willing to help. They also give you any samples you would like. There is adequate seating inside and outside, and the environment is nice. I have always gotten the same tea but I plan to try out a few of the others based on the samples I have had. Wow, another organic tea place. I just discovered Fusion Tea in Cerritos and now this place opens up in Cypress, in the same shopping center as Frostbites. I can't help but compare it to Fusion Tea because they have very similar items but the menu here is much simpler. 7 Leaves also carries macarons but these are the traditional size and cost $1.50. I really liked the mung bean milk tea. I've had mung beans before but the taste combination of this drink was quite different. It had somewhat of a sweet, earthy flavor, kind of similar to taro but not quite. I think most of the flavor came from the pandan leaves. Taro milk tea here tastes very natural, because it is. I was only used to the really purple, artificial powder versions of taro milk tea in the past so this was a refreshing change. Strawberry Hibiscus Tea is really refreshing and light, and is a good option if you don't want to get too full from drinking a milk tea. It's made with real strawberries, apples, rose hips, and hibiscus flowers. This would make a great drink for the summer. I haven't had a chance to try too many macarons because I came late in the evening and they seem to run out pretty fast. I tried four flavors but I couldn't quite tell what flavors they were except for the chocolate and strawberry. I always have a hard time discerning macaron flavors because they are quite sweet. Two of them had really good texture. Just very light crisp texture on the outside and soft on the inside. The other two were sticky and chewy. I'm guessing these came out of a bad batch so I will have to return again earlier in the day and try few more flavors. I really want to try salted caramel macarons based on Chris D's description. I've been going to 7 leaves since they had stamp cards. My husband and I go weekly. I know how my drink typically taste. Today I noticed my matcha soy tea drink was off in color. I took anyways understanding sometimes it needs a good shake. I tried to take a few sips and the taste was just bad. It was grainy and unsweetened. I called to ask if I could take time out of my night to drive back to the location to get it remade and I was told no. The person who answered the phone asked his manager Sara and she said no. He said she said "sometimes it's just grainy from the batch that it was made from and if you come back it will taste the same." I was shocked. The fact that that was the reason why was so disappointing. I asked him if I could talk to the manager he put me on hold and said that I could now go back to get it remade. He said he asked his manager Kody if I could go back and he said yes. So thank you Kody. I hope Sara can get some better training in customer service. This place has been on my must-try list for a long time and I finally made it out here! For those of you from Cypress, this cafe replace the old It's A Grind. It's a cute cafe with some tables and chairs, tables with high chairs, and a patio area. Good place to study or hang with friends. The service was excellent! Another great 7 Leaves location. I don't know why it took me so long to review this place bc this is technically the first 7 Leaves I've ever been to back in the day, but better late than never! First off, customer service: GREAT. The people here are so kind and welcoming. If you don't like a drink, they offer to remake it. Very nice of them and they make drinks super fast (unless there's a crowd, then you just have to practice patience). Drinks: DELICIOUS. I appreciate that it's not just syrup sweeteners that they use in their drinks and actually cook the tea. This place never disappoints, especially their boba. Something about the texture of the boba makes it unique to 7leaves. --Today I tried the sea cream jasmine tea with aloe Vera (I usually get it with lychee jelly but they didn't have it). This drink is delicious as well. Not so much of the tea taste, which I actually like better than other places. --I also like the herbal tea with aloe Vera. It's a lighter drink that's just the right amount of sweet. If you've ever gotten the free herbal tea from that one restaurant in Westminster, it's basically the same thing. It had a strong coffee flavor, which was exactly what I needed. I tried my boyfriend's mung bean sea cream, and it was delicious. I love the sea cream on top as it gives a foamy, tasty uniqueness to the drinks. They also sell macaroons, which I did not try this time around. A stamp card is available for regulars. This place is great for studying or hanging out with friends. There is free wifi along with plenty of plugs around to charge your devices. Around the periphery of the shop are tall bar tables and stools for individuals or couples to sit. There are also group tables located in the center of the shop. The restrooms are clean. I can't believe it has taken me so long to finally get to try 7 Leaves Cafe. I got both the traditional milk tea and jasmine green milk tea. Many people rave about 7 Leaves; however, for myself, I was not a huge fan of the milk tea. I enjoyed the jasmine green milk tea much more. It is less creamy than ones from other places so it wasn't what I expected. It was still refreshing. If I had to compare it to other jasmine/green milk teas, then I would say this one was less milky and heavier on the tea. Last, I thought the boba was slightly overcooked because some were mushy/melded together. Next time, I will try their house iced coffee! Also, I'd like to give the jasmine green milk tea another shot. read more

Had high expectations for 7 Leaves based off the 5 star yelp reviews and was really disappointed. Got the Mint Sereno, Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and Mung Bean Milk Tea. All of it tasted really artificial and processed. Nothing tasted fresh. This is like the McDonald's version of boba shops. I liked the Mung Bean Milk Tea the best. The Mint Sereno was really disappointing. You can get a better mint coffee at Philz or Coffee Dose. The Jasmine Milk Tea almost tasted out of a bottle you buy at 99 Ranch. Customer service was nice but sorry will not be back. So many amazing boba shops in Southern LA that are far better. read more
