But today was the grand opening for this location and it was so poorly planned out. It was a hot and humid morning and they opened almost a hour after opening time. They were so short staffed, only let in a few customers in at a time and the line barely moved at all. The DJ that played the music played really explicit music that included ("booty" "bust it" "fuck" etc...) while there were lots of children around. Lastly, the young lady named lily was giving out gift cards out to people who answered the questions correctly clearly didn't know her own product. This location really needs some things to work on. I did get a Thai Tea with Aloe, due to my lady compromising and keeping her happy. However, when I asked WHY NO BOBA? All I received was attitude. Came here to work on a group project with friends which worked out great because there was tea to fuel us and outlets to recharge our laptops. I ordered a milk tea without boba and less sugar. They have a lot of flavors and I liked their tea menu wall with big pictures. There's no food here other than macaroons so I walked over to a place nearby and brought the food back here. I ended up buying a macaroon with my drink and it had a nice and distinct flavor to it. Sometimes I find places that have different color macaroons that all taste the same which is very misleading. The macaroons here are good quality and pair well with tea. It's worth stopping buy to get some boba and get work done or catch up with people. I've been a fan of 7 Leaves Cafe for years and am excited to see them expanding into my area with a new drive-thru location. I want to say congratulations again to them for their big twentieth store. The energy and excitement was felt throughout the morning, thanks to the dj, popcorn, giveaways, special calligraphy station and the awsome staff that handed out free samples all morning. Big props go out especially to the crew that helped facilitate the line, raffles, and trivia. For everyone new to 7 Leaves in this area, my advice is to try the House Coffee, which is my usual goto. The seal was not secure so I told one of the workers that I actually spilled on my laptop case and I gave my drink back to her believing that she would SEAL IT NEW to prevent from more spilling but instead she only put the plastic cap on the top .. as you can see it was still leaking inside the cap of the drink. I absolutely love 7leaves coffee. But this location...the drive thru line DOES NOT MOVE!!! I feel like the person that runs the window is not able to take order and charge people at the window. Only 1 window works at a time. With 2-3 people in front of me, no lie I was in the line for 30 min. Every car takes at least 10 min to take the order and get the car moving. No other 7leaves operates this slowly. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! read more

After a wonderful work surprise our office is now addicted to 7Leaves House Coffee! Although a bit of a drive from the office we often take each other's orders and pick up tea or coffee for one another. Reliably consistent in their recipes I don't have to worry if this cup will be too watery or sweet. A few minor complaints; the ice is regularly too much for the amount of liquid. Came here in the evening after a hard night of studying for finals and had me the Jasmine Milk Tea and it was tasty. Plenty of sugar to feed my cavities. Even better than the drink was the service I got from Marissa she was even sweeter than the drink I had. However, I am giving 4 stars because I felt that this one male employee was unprofessional (I think he was the manager), for the store was really busy and he was just standing around. I was waiting quite a while for my Jasmine tea and there was a line in the drive thru (I ordered inside). All those cars idling in the drive thru, like bruh don't you care about the environment?! The person who was at cashier was a guy who kept avoiding attending me until I basically walked up to the register. I was the only person there at the time too. He takes my order and pulls the "I don't mean to sound weird or anything" line (Spoiler, if you have to preface something that way, you are most definitely being weird) and proceeds to make small talk about my height and how I remind him of his girlfriend???? I have no complains about their food, but they need to reevaluate their business policies. Being a long-time regular customer, I expect better business practices. We were in drive-thru line, waiting for our turn, while another car broke in the line and tried to enter between my car and the car ahead of me. The cars behind me and I honked him and my wife tried to tell him that the line starts back there, but he completely ignored and cut into the line. He even cussed and yelled at us. My wife went inside the store and talked to the manager/supervisor about the incident while we were still in the drive-thru line but they didn't do anything!! According to them, they can't refuse service to anyone. Really? I have never seen this kind of policy before. How about if someone cuts in line to order in store, in front of you? Would you still serve saying we don't refuse service to anyone for any reason? NO! You should not serve the customers who cut in lines, weather in-store or drive-thru. Does it mean anyone can go in to order and go to the window by breaking the line to order their food? Can you give me one example of a place that encourages this kind of behavior? It's just 7leaves in Downey. I'm very disappointed at them for encouraging unethical and immoral practices. I really love this place. I love their tea and their flavor selections. Unfortunately, I gave them one star because I think they count the boba balls. They also never get my order right even though I use online ordering. Finally, I reached out to their customer service to speak with someone, and they blew me off without even knowing what I had to say. I love 7 Leaves. It's definitely one of my go to boba places, especially the Artesia location. The place is very nice, quiet and clean. All staff members there are very lovely and attentive of a customer once they step in. Although my only complaint is I feel like there is more experience that needs to be taught when it comes to making the drinks. Today when I ordered my usual, Assam Milk tea it was wayyyyy to watered down and they put a lot of ice despite me mentioning I wanted light ice on it. Also today, for my second drink and every time I come here and order the Matcha Soy Milk tea, I always get the Matcha Soy tasting fully like milk with a slight pinch of Matcha (a issue I had never had at the Artesia location) and it's frustrating. I literally always send it back asking for more Matcha because it literally taste like pure milk. So then I began asking for extra Matcha in hopes that my drink would be done right....but nope! Today despite me asking for extra Matcha, it's like they didn't pay attention to the details written on the cup because once again, my drink tasted like pure milk with a very slight taste of matcha. Again I sent it back and they redid it, this time correctly. Sorry for my rant it's just so frustrating that I have to send back a drink every time when before I never had too. In the Artesia location when I ordered this Matcha drink the cup was always dark green, here when I order this drink I receive a light green(mung bean) colored drink and that's when I know I have to send it back.
