    Pork belly pad ka pro
    Chris T.

This is a small Thai restaurant located in a strip mall smashed between other business, but don't let that stop you from coming here. The food and service is top notch. You walk in and there are wonderful smells of spices that welcome you. The portions are very generous and full of flavor. Service: Excellent service that is attentive and proud of their food and made wonderful suggestions. They made sure that my water was topped off. Food: Ordered the pork belly pad ka prao. The pork belly was the perfect texture and right meat to fat ratio. The onions and bell peppers were cooked perfectly al dente and really cuts through the fatty pork belly. The sauce was perfect, ordered spice level 6, and it was spicy but not blow your socks off, perfect for a cold night. The rice was cooked perfectly. Restaurant cleanliness: above average Restroom cleanliness: above average, just one shared bathroom

A delicious new Thai restaurant in Boise! Food: 5/5. We started with a Thai iced tea and iced coffee. Very delicious drinks! For appetizer we got the Patongko fried dough with curry dipping sauce. This was unlike anything I've had it was was delicious and perfect for my curry craving. For our main dishes we got the Spicy Basil Pork Belly and HAD to try the Spaghetti Kee Mao. WOW! Very delicious. I was nervous to try the spaghetti but I definitely recommend this and can't wait to have it again!! Service: 5/5. The service was great. The waitress was very nice and helped us decide what to order. Our food came out quickly as well. Atmosphere: 4/5. The location in the strip mall can be hard to find but there is a decent amount of parking and the inside was nice and clean. Kid friendly: 3/5. We didn't take our kiddos, and I didn't notice high chairs. May be difficult for picky eaters. I'm very excited for this newer restaurant and can't wait to go back!

First time here, I ordered their pork belly pad kra pao. It is so yummy. You can't find this dish here anywhere in Boise, ID.

I got the pleasure of trying 7 Thai Cafe today! I did scope out their menu online to see what my lunch options were. Unfortunately, they don't have one so it's dinner prices and portions all day. For lunch today I ordered the pad see ew with tofu. I did get it to go since they were closing and I didn't want to be that person interrupting their break. The lady who took my order was really sweet and kind. I appreciated that so much! Lunch was really good! It had a good amount in my to go container! The tofu was perfectly fried. Golden in the outside and super soft in the middle. It also came surg a hearty amount of bean sprouts and broccoli. I did expect that fat wider rice noodles for the pad see ew but the noodles that it came with was still good. It was full of flavor and b when you at a little Sriracha, it made it that much tastier! I really hope this little local gem thrives! They are such nice people who run/ own it!

Oh my! My first dinner at 7 Thai Cafe. Outstanding. How did I not know these folks were here? Anyways I had the garlic and black pepper . This is hands down some of the best Thai food in all of Boise if not the valley if not Idaho if not... What I like about it is it simplicity and freshness. The food was fast the service is fantastic. The folks are super friendly and nice. What a lovely Friday night date! I highly recommend seven Thai Cafe off Milwaukee in Boise. Thumbs up!

He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. I would highly recommend this place for the staff that is there the solid pub style restaurant that they have created. Super easy and relaxed kinda of place.

It was pretty good but not like any banh mi I've had at all. No pickled veggies and the sandwich bread was a far cry from a banh mi baguette. Great bread though! I just thought the name was very misleading and it would've been better to just call it a massaman curry sandwich. I really liked the spiced yam slices, but I felt like the peanut butter almost overpowered the yam sometimes. Could've been lighter on the PB. I ordered the combo meal which was supposed to be a 1/2 sandwich plus a side. If the sandwich portion I got was only a half, then the full size must be huge. I kind of suspect I got a full sandwich. I had the beet salad for my side. It was tasty and fresh, and also pretty sizeable. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The wait time for food was reasonable given that they seemed busy. The loft seating was nice.

I haven't been in in a while because the location is an awkward one for me and the interior is not particularly a cozy place to sit and enjoy a piece of pe. But Boise Pie Company pies in limited options are now available to order through Farm Deliver (the aggregator for local food hub that takes orders for local farmer and producers and delivers their good things to homes on Wednesday afternoons) so I had a Peach Huckleberry pie in the delivery yesterday afternoon. The crust on this pie was so delicious, in fact much better than my memory of Boise Pie Co. pies being ever. I wonder if the new owner changed the crust recipe? I often leave the crust on a piece of pie, but on this one I ate every crumb. Every holiday I try to find a local producer food item to gift to neighbors. Something that doesn't need to be eaten right away but can be saved and used at any time during holidays or after. I know Boise Pie Co is now providing frozen take and bake Huckleberry pies. If they're still doing that at holiday time, they may be my choice for the neighbors' gifts. (I plan ahead. :-) ) In years past it has been treats like the frozen Lasagna or Chicken pot pie from Certified Kitchen & Bakery's freezer case or Dan Ansotegui's award winning Basque chorizo sausages from Ansot's cold case or stollen from Acme Bakery or assorted artisan chocolates from Chocolat Bar so Boise Pie Co would join great company in the gifting. ;-)

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.
