We are up for a football camp and decided to try a burger while my son is on campus. The burger reviewed well, I read a negative remark on the fries saying they were soggy. The service was great, it should have been on a Thursday afternoon! I've never had a burger come out faster and it was very good. Sadly the fries were terrible and they charge you an extra 3 dollars for them. I definitely recommend this place for a burger, just avoid the fries. Also a nice tavern atmosphere. read more

I loves me some french fries... and I loves me the burgers at 7 West ON SUPERIOR. This place has absolutely the worst french fries I've ever had. The fries were a big lump of greasy, undercooked starch. I asked for replacements. The next set of fries sucked slightly worse. The pushy waitress asked four or five times if my replacement fries were crispy enough, daring me to say otherwise. The burger had all the juice crushed out of it and was hard... crispy all the way through, almost like a burger flavored potato chip. I tipped accordingly. Went there this evening with my husband and was extremely grossed out at the fact that one of the cooks constantly scratched his facial hair and did not have gloves on and then proceeded to touch and plate food. I've been a cook for many years and that was absolutely unacceptable. read more

Really like the place, but it was closed today and I had checked the hours online before going. No sign on the door or anything, which I find strange for a business to not do. Unsure if it is a Covid thing or lack of staffing (both understandable), but I would have obviously avoided the 40 minute round trip drive. My previous trip there was fantastic though! The beers are great and the service is awesome! My concern is we had came here the day before, and were so impressed we came back the next day. We all ordered the special again, but this time we got the taco special. It's supposed to be a Brat with various items. It was a hot dog not a brat. This still tasted great but not as expected. My new favorite place in town. Good food and great service. This was my 3rd time to the Miller Hill location. I ordered the Poutine burger. Cheese curds, fries and two burger patties smothered in brown gravy. My only complaint is that the gravy was extremely bland. Other wise the burger was cooked to perfection. The other thing I love about this place is the rotating taps. I tried the ciderboys strawberry cider. It was really good. Not to sweet. Our server Kaitlyn was awesome. She had a ton of other things she was doing but made sure our group and others where well taken care of. Didn't get to the bottom of our drinks and she was there making sure we where okay. My boyfriend and I came here and shared a burger, fries and pizza. It was so good! Drinks are amazing here too. I also love that you can substitute a burger for a chicken breast with NO cost! Went for lunch service on a weekday with friends. The whole ordering process took longer than it should have. I had the southwest salad. It was a bit underwhelming and a little bit smaller than I would have hoped. The breadstick was great, though! The burgers were pretty good. Food barely took up half of the giant metal platter. Fries were not crisp at all (maybe they aren't supposed to be). I brought my kids in and it kinda sucks they don't have a kids menu. Not a family restaurant. We each got a soda $3/piece. My son didn't like the root beer they had on tap so i asked if we could switch it to a Pepsi. Server said yes, but still charged us for the switch. $15 for sodas my kids only drank half of...dumb. Great atmosphere, but that's about it. Service was super slow, they don't have enough staff, but they had a good reason I guess. I was told by my server that if they put more people on, then her tips would be less. Berger was like a dried out piece of cardboard and fries were greasy. We have been coming to 7 West since they first opened on Superior Street. When they opened a Superior location we began eating there as it was a bit closer to home. When they opened their Miller Hill location we started going there. We have always enjoyed the wide selection of beer and their burgers and tacos. We began going quite regularly on a Tuesday's in downtown Duluth when they offered 2 for 20. Which was always 2 beers,2 fries, and 2 burgers/tacos (when they began offering tacos). Same in Superior. Tonight at the Miller Hill location after ordering the waitress came back to the table and told us that the 2 for 20 was not available for tacos. I told her we had ordered tacos at all locations several times without a problem. She returned and told us that could not be true as her manager said this was not policy. Well I can assure you it was true and we enjoyed the tacos under this special so many times I would be embarrassed to say. I should point out that their tap house tacos are the same price as the cheapest burgers. Well we got the burgers,the manager never came to our table, and we won't go back! read more
