We just wanted to celebrate the New Year properly. We came in planning to start with appetizers and continue our meal, and we chose the prix fixe menu. As Turkish guests, we genuinely wanted to experience this place, but it turned into a truly terrible experience for us. We will never consider coming back. Sadly, a place with a 2.9 rating on Yelp fully lived up to it. Never again. On top of that, one of the staff members called us "salak," which in Turkish means "stupid." This was extremely offensive and unacceptable. We paid $150 for the prix fixe menu plus $30 per hour for the open bar, yet we were constantly rushed. The main course was brought to our table four times, even though we were not ready, and desserts were served at the same time. The service was completely disorganized and ruined the entire experience.

We came to Southampton over Labor Day weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather and final days of summer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]75 Main was very busy, but a table fortunately opened up outside, so we were able to dine here for brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Until I saw the menu, I had no idea this was part of a reality TV show called "Serving the Hamptons" on HBO. I would've ordered the Lobster Roll, but they told me it was marinated in mayonnaise and couldn't remove it, so I chose the Avocado Toast instead. The avocado could've been sliced more thinly (with the same amount) and more nicely presented, but it was good and I enjoyed the artisan bread it was on. Since they had no uniforms, some of the staff looked like customers or people walking on the street, so there were a few occasions when we were surprised with seemingly random people coming up to our table to clear away our plates. After we got home, we checked out the show. Looking forward to dining at Blu Mar next time.

Staff who snapped our two valid IDs

My friend and I both received drinks. We had a table. We went back to the bar to order to beers, the waitress asked for our IDs, and returned with two snapped (almost: they were totally legitimate so they are just bent completely in half) ids, 10 minutes after they tried rejecting a 23 year old girl's id earlier in our party. We called the cops who came and left immediately for another call. They switched the bouncer who snapped our IDs at the same time of course, only to promptly bring him back once the cops were gone. These people are scum and the bottommost muckrakers of the Hamptons. The manager walked into his backroom as we tried to ask for a refund, and the cops were pretty clearly complicit in it all. Pictured is the bouncer who snapped my friend and my's ID. Stay far away if you want to have a nice night out.

75 Main is definitely one of those standard Hamptons spots--partly because it's been around forever and partly because it shows up on Bravo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting is beautiful, especially if you can get an outdoor table[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was honestly great. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. But the food? Kind of a letdown. Some ingredients didn't seem super fresh--like the tomatoes were overripe, and the prosciutto definitely wasn't Prosciutto di Parma (kind of obvious when you know what to look for). The dishes looked nice but just didn't have much flavor or finesse, especially for the price. The cocktails were good, so that was a plus, but overall, it didn't live up to the hype. If you're going for the scene and the setting, it's worth a stop--but if you're expecting a top-tier meal, you might want to keep your expectations in check.

    Beautiful atmosphere

Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was beautiful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was top-notch. Everything felt intentional and well thought out. The crispy black bass was absolutely incredible -- perfectly cooked with a delicate crunch and so much flavor. Easily one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The wedge salad was also fresh, crisp, and really well balanced. Highly recommend -- definitely one of my favorite spots.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so bright and airy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great vibes and good energy from all the servers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at the bar for food and drinks and had a good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The charcuterie was great for 2. Plenty of different cheeses. We also got the crab cakes which were delicious. Their eggplant caponata was just okay. Spicy margarita was pretty basic. A little sweet for my taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Could see this place getting packed during prime season.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect spot for Lunch & Dining[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]],cocktails are amazing and friendly staff,Definitely my favorite place in Hamptons

I always have a positive experience when I go to 75 Main St. in the beautiful Southampton. The food is delicious and very consistent all the time with great presentation of the dishes. I enjoyed my seared tuna with salad, and my hubby loved his pork chop as well. My tuna was made perfectly medium complemented with a beautiful vinaigrette salad. I always love getting food at this establishment. Happy New Year's. Cheers.

This came with a huge variety of family style appetizers (delicious), a choice of entrees (the scallops were heavenly), and a cute cheesecake pop tower for dessert. Drinks were extra - I didn't like my cocktail that mixed tequila and coconut milk but my friends raves about the summer sangria spritz. The dinner venue was playing awesome pop music (albeit a bit too loudly) and there was an Instagramable patio near the eating tables so we were surprised to find out the after dinner club was in a separate dinky pub a 2 minute drive away. The venue offered shuttles to the "club", but not back, so we opted to drive. We finished dinner and arrived to a DEAD club at 10pm. Few people had arrived, and the music selection was much worse. The crowd didn't pick up until 11:30pm, and the music barely improved by then. I spent most of the time people watching instead of dancing. Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - large parking lot near the dining location - reservations recommended - moderate amount of vegetarian options - great for groups

I was game and called the restaurant regarding their happy hour times and was told by the hostess that they do not have a happy hour per se but their bar menu is always available and of course there is lunch and dinner and they always have live music. It is a little off the beaten path and is located in an enclave of restaurants on the water i n Hampton Bays. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess. It is an impressive sized space divided into two sections, a bar area where the live music was playing with seating at the bar and some booth seating and opposite this a larger circular dining room with tables for four and six people overlooking the water. We were seated and menus and a wine list was provided. Our waiter was Joseph Z. He was pleasant, the accommodating and efficient. Our drink orders were taken-a Corona beer for my brother and I ordered a Negroni. We gave our meal orders at the same time. My brother ordered the seafood pasta with a side of French fries-[not shoestring-these looked hand cut] and I ordered the sea scallops and a side of asparagus. The meals arrived shortly and we dug in. My brother enjoyed his food [the French fries looked very appealing] My substantally sized scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly. They were sitting on a bed of mashed potatoes, diced peppers and some greens. The asparagus were cooked well, crisp and very tasty. After our meal and some time to digest, we looked at the dessert menu. My brother opted for the tirami su and I was initially looking at the creme brulee but I had had this recently at another restaurant and then decided on the mixed berry crumble. After taking one bite of the mixed berry crumble, I new it I made the right choice. The dessert came out hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and alongside, a small vat of whipped cream and one of additional mixed berries. This dessert was outstanding. To cap this experience, I ordered a cup of espresso. In summary, the restaurant is clean and well maintained [the restroom as well] The staff is polite and the service is quick. We were there on Mother's Day weekend [Friday] and it is not an inexpensive meal, comparable to what I would have paid for a similar meal in New York City. However, it was well worth the money. It was an experience. I would strongly recommend and I hope to return soon.

It was a little difficult to find since there are no street signs in the area and the restaurant is kind of hidden behind some large bushes. We finally found it. The parking lot is very small and as a result, they have instituted valet parking. They have done away with paper tickets and you have to use a QR code. When you are getting ready to leave, you can contact the valets and they can have your car ready for you when you come out. We entered the restaurant after squaring away the car and it was early so there was no problem being seated. It is a very pleasant looking space, on the water with seating indoors and outside. It is a great place to watch the sun set over the water. David B..was our server and after setting us up with some water, he took out drink orders [a Corona beer and a Negroni] We began looking over the menu. It is not a vast menu and each food group [meat, seafood, etc.] has limited choices. The appetizer listings have several more options. Wine list is impressive and is by the glass or bottle along with a list of specialty cocktails. . Our drinks arrived and we gave David B. our food order. My friend to the spicy shrimp rigatoni and I ordered the salmon. Our food arrived shortly after. Both meals were delicious. The spicy rigatoni can be made according to your heat level. The salmon was sitting on a bed of 3 boiled potatoes, olives, capers, cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes with a sprig of rosemary and was cooked to perfection. It flaked away very nicely. My friend got another Corona and I continued to drink the water provided after my Negroni. In terms of caveats, it is pricey [food and drinks] and although we were there for happy hour, there is no per se happy hour menu that we were made away of. It is a large place, clean with more than adequate staffing. I did not use the restroom while I was there so I cannot comment on how well it was maintained. David our waiter, was attentive and accommodating, checking on us periodically to see if we needed anything else. Our table wobbled a bit and they sent someone over the take care of it for us. Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi
