This place was extremely nice inside - which is not what I was expecting bc the view from the parking lot looks somewhat rough. Our server was friendly but had a lot of tables and took forever to come back with even simple requests so that was annoying. The inside is beautiful decorated and huge with two large party dining spaces with long tables for big groups and pretty, clean bathrooms. The "salad bar" or "bar" didn't have much aside from the sauce you can make - some lettuce but no salad toppings at all except for some onions. I wasn't too happy with the choices and didn't eat anything there. That's fine bc they bring you SO much food when you do both the hot pot and the Korean BBQ that it's insane! I like to come here for their BBQ Pork Belly; however, my mother and I had a bad experience with a server who had continuously gotten our order wrong. Atmosphere is very warm, albeit a bit dark. Once it is 5pm, GET ON THE WAITLIST on yelp! My fiancé and I got on the waitlist when we left our apartment, and it's a 20 minute drive to get to the restaurant. We got there and had to wait for 25 more minutes. Once we sat down, we got to order our broth, meats, and veggies. Pros: Their sauce bar is amazing, and they have a variety of meats, veggies, and noodles. Their sauce bar is amazing. It is all you can eat. You can get hot pot deal, or kbbq deal, or both for just 3 more dollars. Cons: If you sit in a nook room on the side, they put away the dirty dish there. I know the staff is trying to clean up as soon as they can, so that they can sit more people, but it's very loud when they clean the pile of dirty dishes, and I couldn't hear what my fiancé was saying 3 times for 10 minutes. Also, it was pretty clear that we were getting full, and we only had 1 plate left of vegetables left to finish, and our waitress didn't come to our table for 40 minutes. First, the food... all the beef and any type of meat were extremely fatty and of cheap quality. I do not suggest doing the BBQ at all. Their broth were not that flavorful. The only good food items they had were the shrimps. As far as service, it was nonexistent. I had to ask another server to get us some water because our server didn't bring us any. We ordered once for the first round and our server didn't come back until 20 minutes later leaving our grill completely burnt and our broth without any food. The place overall is decorated well but the floors were very grimy. Overall, I do not recommend coming here. I will definitely not be back. read more

My daughter absolutely loves this place. We were gifted a gift card for Christmas and decided to visit and take her to eat. We went right at open time, 1pm, and were seated right away for hot pot. Although it wasn't crazy busy, service was a tad slow, but we were in no rush and just enjoyed our time. As always, everything was delicious. The chicken feet was a bit on the spicy side. We chose hotpot and bbq - reasonable pricing at $32.99 per person. I think the kid price is a bit high at $18.99. My 8 year old didn't eat much. Hotpot selections - a lot if selections - meat , seafood , veggies, mushrooms and misc like bamboo shoots, lotus root and diff kind of tofu. PSA: BRING YOUR APPETITE AND AN EXTRA STOMACH!!! It's relatively new to the community (~2-ish years) and it's pretty spacious and it's got a nice vibrant vibe to it once you walk in. You can either just get Hot Pot or just BBQ, or you can get both for just $4 more - which was worth it in my opinion! It was our first time there and the menu was pretty overwhelming for us. For the hot pot, you pick the broth(s) that you want and then you order which toppings you want and how much of it. In the middle of the restaurant is the salad bar and the sauce bar where you can mix and match the ones that you want. Trust me when I say, bring your appetite! Food quality is very good and super diverse and it makes you want to eat more! Personal tip from me - try to avoid or minimize your rice intake if you do get it. Rice makes you fuller much faster and you definitely want to get your money's worth out of this. Service was really good, they're attentive and shockingly fast! I don't usually have a bad experience with places I pick for date night but this one left me and my husband so disappointed. I'll start with what's ok first. The place is clean and the ambiance is definitely more of a Chinese influence so the Korean bbq threw me off a bit. I'm not a real fan of the whole serving hot pot and kbbq because the restaurant ends up being mediocre at both. Also, our service was great. Our server did a phenomenal job. Everyone was nice and friendly... The restaurant is not delivering the food. Their banchan choices were so limited it set the mood for me. Its a salad bar pretty much to make sauces more so for hot pot than to grab side dishes for kbbq. Meats... everything tasted the same and were not good. Not sure what was going on here. If you're a kbbq or hotpot, have good quality meats. It makes a difference. Here is the part that bothered me... We were sat at a table the looks directly into the kitchen. A rolling trash can was visible and we could see someone spitting into the trash over and over while we were eating. I'm pretty sure it was someone who handles food also. I pretty much lost my appetite. kbbq is a favorite dining experience for my husband and I. We can be pretty picky when it comes to kbbq and have certain expectations. However, this place is subpar for kbbq. I can't speak for hotpot here because we did not have hotpot. Service here is fine. If this is your first time experiencing this type of restaurant, it may be somewhat overwhelming. The restaurant was packed but we seemed to grab the last table before there was a wait. After placing the first order, the food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive at our table. The was an issue with a couple missing items but they were eventually taken care of after about another 15 minutes. The restaurant was okay, nothing really pleasing to brag about but it gave date night vibes as far as the lighting was concerned. The food. The food was plentiful and there's plenty to choose from. Overall I had a great time and I enjoyed myself. The only drawback I have is that there really isn't any seasoning with the food so be warned. There is a food bar where you can get sauces and other items to add to your flavor pallet but that's about it. Partner and I had to escape Chincoteague for the day to get some Korean bbq and drove to Virginia Beach.  Unfortunately, 757 Korean BBQ is closed on Tuesdays, so we came here after researching Yelp reviews.  It isn't Korean, but rather Chinese owned.  Nonetheless, they had the meats.  They also offer hot pot, if you are in the mood for that.  Wished the lighting was brighter, but it wasn't a deal breaker. A nice variety of meats/seafood is offered and we decided to stick to just 4 kinds: Bulgogi; LA short ribs; spicy pork; and garlic shrimp.  The cuts of beef and short ribs were not prime, but were good enough to fix our bbq meat jones.  The spicy pork was not that spicy and was surprisingly very tender.  The garlic shrimp were a nice size and perfectly seasoned. Everything was marinated, but they offer additional selections of sauces at the self serve station!  As it was ayce, we had additional bulgogi and short ribs  We also had 2 rounds of lettuce to make ssam...although it was not romaine, again, it was good enough.  To top everything off, we had some cantalope, pineapple and oranges from the self serve station! Overall, the service was attentive, the quality of the meats and shrimp were good, and the price was reasonable.  Everything (including 20% tip) came to $80. read more

(Apologies for the poor lighting on the photo, it is a bit dark inside of the restaurant). I've been here twice now and I've never had to wait for a table! I'm pleasantly surprised since I think it's the only AYCE Hot Pot restaurant in the 757 area, and I'd think that the wait time would be 30 min+ each time. There is a huge dining area, and I've seen some tables with a shared pot in the middle and tables with individual small hot pots. I've only ever come here for hot pot, so I can't say anything about the Korean BBQ. I think that the prices went up recently. I remember it being 24.99 when I went the first time (early April). I went back this past Monday, and it went up to 27.99. I still think that it is decently priced since they offer a variety of meats, seafood, & more. My only complaint is that the soup base lacks flavor. I've tried the tomato base, Szechuan spicy style, and pig bonestyle base. The tomato base was probably the one that had the most flavor in my opinion. The Szechuan spicy style base is AT MOST a mild-medium level. There are some peppercorns, but it doesn't really taste like much. The pig bone style base looked just milky but it really lacked any pork flavor. All in all, the soup bases tasted really plain. Aside from that, they offer a nice sized sauce bar with plenty of options for dipping - from a variety of herbs to an abundant amount of sauces. I was pleasantly surprised. They also have a small little salad bar with seaweed salad, kimchi, and chicken feet. The menu was big and if you're able to eat a lot, I definitely think you will get your moneys worth! I was really happy with the amount of options you could choose from. I've heard that they're expanding to Richmond, VA and I am so excited to try that out when it comes into town. Hot Pot 757 is located in a shared plaza so there is ample parking. The interior is very beautiful with intricate Asian-inspired interior design and a chill ambiance. Where you are seated is based on if you want hot pot, KBBQ, or both. My parents and I opted for both and came in on Father's day around 6PM and did not have to wait to be seated. They have a sauce bar and fruit/sides area in the middle of the restaurant that you serve yourself. They had a variety of sauces and garnishes, and their sides included kimchi and seaweed salad. Fruit included grapes, cantaloupes, and oranges. The area was always being cleaned/refilled, overall the restaurant as well cleaned. The price for hot bot/KBBQ combo was $33.99 for adults, and they had a good variety of meats, veggies, and seafood for the KBBQ portion. The KBBQ grill is shared across the whole table but I liked that the hot pot was individualized. The hot pot portion had a vary large variety of broths, seafood, meat, vegetables, and noodles. You also had an option to do single, split, or triple split pot to try more broth. Note that some premium items are only available for dinner. Overall, my experience was okay and I would not come back. We felt like we had to excessively wait or waive down our waiter despite it not being busy until 7PM. We were very patient and understanding, but overall was not happy with our experience. Prior to 7PM, it seemed like the servers were just sitting and chatting on the other side of the sauce bar rather than being attentive to the stables they were covering. We understand that once it's crowded it can be very stressful for staff and the wait will be longer... but one worker in particular was very curt and rude to my dad when he was asking for help. One of the staff who seemed to be working kitchen duty (bringing orders out and to the table) was very nice and came by and said he could help us order a few items since he saw we were waiting for a while. He then waived down a server who was helping other tables to help us momentarily. The quality of the food was okay. Not the best KBBQ/hot pot meats/veggies I've had but not the worst. As an Asian especially from Hong Kong, this reminds me of home. 757 Hotpot is the first all-you-can-eat Korean bbq/hotpot place in Hampton Roads area that gives me the same vibe I've had from the ones I had in Hong Kong. People gotta realize that this type of restaurant is not gonna give you the authentic Korean bbq food because it is NOT (you're not gonna get good kimchi and all other small korean dishes and rice etc). We came here twice so we realize that if you sit in one of the rooms, the venting system is really bad and it's hot and the smoke of bbq stays in the atmosphere despite they have fans blowing. But if you sit outside, you're fine. You'll also be prepared to wait for 15-30 mins (they told us 45 mins to an hour both times but ended up not that long) if you don't have reservation and come in during dinner hours. Some servers you can tell they know what they're doing cuz they will change the grill for you and add refills. But I don't blame other servers who don't because this type of restaurant is very new to the area, and not everybody know how the grill look or smell when it's about them to change it, and the restaurant is quite busy so I'd suggest they pour a jar of water to tables so we can just serve ourselves. For the price, yes it is a little pricey but considering they provide seafood and unlike doing hotpot/bbq yourself which you have to prepare the food and the washing, it isn't that bad (trust me, I have hotpot all the time and it takes at least an hour to prepare and another half n hour to cleanup). The variety of ingredients on hotpot and bbq are incredible, but not everything is good. I appreciate that they provide some ingredients that is popular in Asia but not in the US such as cow omasum and octopus. They provide fish balls for hotpot but I'm not a fan because they tasted mushy (good fish balls are supposed to be firm 彈牙). You can also get sauce on the hallway. This is probably the most fun thing to do in a hot pot buffet for me and others, cuz yoy can make your own good sauce. A suggestion for you is to make 2 different sauce for hotpot and bbq. The hotpot sauce should be more liquidity with at least soy sauce, garlic and sesame oil, and you can add chili, sesame and so on, just don't make it too sausy. For the bbq sauce you can make it more like a solid sauce, like with hoisin and bean paste, at the end add a little sesame oil and sesame you won't regret it. For the hotpot, the variety of soup base is generous. I like the Sze Chuan spicy soup base because no spicy no life. I also recommend you to have double pot flavor so you can try 2 soup base. The ingredients for hotpot are alright. The veggies are fresh and the beef are thin sliced, but the seafood are not all great. The shrimp are not fresh and the scallop tasted like soda powder but the squid are fresh. For the bbq, the ingredients are definitely better than the hotpot ones. All the meat and seafood that are marinated are good, very tender and flavorful. The garlic shrimp tasted better than the jumbo shrimp in my opinion. Overall it's an all-you-can-eat restaurant, what more can you ask for? But still I'd like to see more appetizers or even desserts on the hallway. read more

My friend and I came out on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and it was surprisingly not crowded at all! Loved the clean, spacious, and neat interior design. I was glad that we were able to choose our own options. My friend went with BBQ while I went with hot pot only. Hotpot and BBQ individually are $30 and both are closer to $34. The sauce bar and side dish bar were clean and plentiful. The staff seemed to be attentive to the quantity. I appreciated the sauce guide that was above the sauce bar and in the menu. Once I placed my order for the hot pot ingredients, they all came out in a presentable and timely manner. They quantity per ingredient was enough for at least two people per order and all good quality. Our server was very attentive and professional as well! We've been to Hot Pot 757 more than 5 times after they opened, and my views of this place change every time. Ambiance: This restaurant gives you a Chinese/Korean restaurant vibe. I like how roomy and spacious it is, and you won't feel claustrophobic. Cleanliness: The restaurant seems clean. However, the floors are very slippery. Like something spilled in it. The tables are sticky. There's not a lot of air ventilation so expect to smell like barbecue when you leave. Food: This restaurant is a Chinese BBQ/Hotpot rather than a Korean BBQ. There are no banchan like fish cakes or potato salad. There's kimchi, but that's pretty much it. They have a vast selection of meats and other ingredients, which is very lovely. However, I wasn't a fan of their meat marinade sauce. As I said, it reminds me of a Chinese marinade rather than a Korean marinade. Service: Their service is a hit or miss depending on your server, and their wait times vary depending on the time you get there. On our last visit, our server didn't show up to change the grill until we asked someone to call her. Drink refills took forever as well. Price: Since this is the only BBQ and hotpot in the area, their price is reasonable. When craving Korean BBQ, we always choose somewhere else, even if they are not all you can eat. I tried Hot Pot for the first time with some friends on the evening of 3/3/21. Hot Pot is an ayce establishment and it's also a "cook your own food" spot. For some, that is an awesome concept, but others may not see the point of going out if they have to cook the food themselves. I understand that reasoning - I wouldn't hit up Hot Pot if I were feeling lazy. Regardless, this is Hot Pot's concept and they offer 2 popular ways of cooking. First is the hot pot in which you cook ingredients in a pot full of broth. This option costs $25 per person and you get to choose your ingredients. The second option is the BBQ. For $27, you choose your ingredients and cook them on a stove that's set up at your table. Both options are great for groups and those who love to socialize. Of course, you can opt for both, which costs $30. It sounds great at first, but I would recommend both only if you're REALLY hungry. Upon arrival, you must choose hot pot, BBQ, or both. Your choice will determine where you'll be seated (not all the tables are equipped for BBQ cooking). In addition to that, there is a salad bar that offers a few cool items besides typical salad stuff (they have kimchi!). I dined with two friends and we tried to eat as much as we could. But we really didn't eat much - a serving of each hot pot and BBQ will fill you up quickly. Service was good - our server was courteous and fast despite some communication issues. Very cool we have an AYCE Hot Pot & KBBQ in the area! Service, portions, and ambiance were all acceptable. Ventilation, not so much. I showered before & after dining at Hot Pot 757. My friend and I opted for both, hot pot and KBBQ. The portions of everything they gave us were HUGE! Ended up buying a to go container for $5 so we can bring the left overs home. The meats were ok. I don't remember which ones we had but the quality of one meat option was suspect. I didn't like the texture. I loved all the options they offered for veggies, dumplings, fish cakes, tofu and fish balls. Perfect for someone who doesn't want to eat a lot of meat. Their sauce bar had hand sanitizer and gloves(that many people did not use). Our glasses were filled, people checked on us, and our bellies were happy. Not bad for folks who've never tried Hot Pot or KBBQ. I recommend showering AFTER you dine. Hopefully, they'll invest in a better ventilation system. I have been waiting 15yrs for something like this magical unicorn of a restaurant to open up here in Hampton Roads! It's 2 amazing concepts in one restaurant, and I will ensure you the owner will probly have to expand or open up another one down the road with how popular this restaurant will become. I used to Hot Pot at home with friends and man, I can tell you it's such a fun experience, and going out to this AYCE restaurant really just hits the spot and saves so much time and money than DIYing it myself! The selection of items are endless and the Korean BBQ is perfect for my carnivor of a Husband while me personally, I am all about the hot pot! The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and very elegant. The tables are huge and perfect for gatherings and for large groups of friends to sit around with all of the many dishes to grill or dip! I went with a friend who has never experienced either or, and she was IN LOVE! The music was set at the perfect level and station. We ordered the triple hot pot, with original, pigbone, and beef butter broths. The beef butter one was fantastic! It was our favorite and my friend has a low tolerance for spicy. Gonna be honest, the original broth was just too basic after tasting the beef butter and pigbone! In fact, they refill your pot with the original broth throughout your meal once the broths get low. We enjoyed making our dipping sauces at the dip bar (which has way too many little pots to count and endless creations can be made) and enjoyed some salad (my favorite was seaweed salad) before the main attraction. Once the pot arrived we had to wait for it to boil, and once the pot boiled, the items to dip and cook arrived shortly after. My friend and I ordered many items to include shrimp (they're huge and head on and come in quantities of 3 per order), scallops, lamb, chicken, beef, bok choy, watercress, cabbage, dumplings (3 per order), fish balls, rice cakes, noodles, and so much more. The items come in very small amounts which imo is appreciated to prevent food wastage and to promote trying a larger selection of items. Plus, you can keep ordering more of what you love! The lamb was my favorite. All of the meats are cut and served super thin and cook in a few seconds and are very high quality!!! We went on the 2nd day of opening and our waitress was a bit overwhelmed but I totally get it. If an order was accidentally forgotten, we asked her about it and it appeared pretty quickly! A few items were already out that we wanted to try (blood, brain, and a few beef options) but with the huge selection of other items, I didn't mind one bit and definitely didn't miss it. The owner or manager, stopped by a couple of times throughout our meal to ask us if we are enjoying ourselves, needed anything, have any questions, ect. It was really nice! Lastly, we finished our meal with some fresh fruit from the salad bar, and it was just a perfect overall experience and a great satisfying night out. I will be a regular for sure, and looking to take up a second job for my Hot Pot addiction, I would seriously go every day if I could! In fact I am going again in two days but doing the "Both," option. The price is very reasonable at $24.99 for Hot Pot option only, $26.99 Korean BBQ only and $29.99 for the option to do Hot Pot and Korean BBQ! We came in hoping to try this place since it was recommended by a friend's family and our first choice for dinner was already closed. The server was amazing! He explained how everything went with the options and was attentive through out our dinner. However, the food was not very good. The chicken was bland and the sauce options were too spicy for my daughter to add to her hot pot broth. To start with, I had the hot pot: shrimp,sweet potatoes , and shiitake mushrooms and the rest of family had beef brisket and chicken to cook. I should have stopped with the hot pot. The shiitake mushrooms had a weird texture after cooking it ( almost rubbery). I figured I needed to cook it longer, but my husband agreed and didn't eat it either even after cooking it longer. I tried the bbq and got the short ribs and was disappointed. I was expecting the teriyaki flavored meat (kalbi ribs) from most Korean bbq places and it was sub par. I also had tried the crab legs at the salad bar and they were just okay and cold. My daughter had grabbed some "fresh"fruits at the salad bar station, but the watermelon slice she said "was not sweet --old,like it had been sitting out for a while." We all ended up coming home with an uncomfortable bloated feeling. We can say we got to experience the hot pot and bbq, but unfortunately in a negative way. I've been waiting years for this area to have an AYCE KBBQ restaurant. We typically go to northern VA to get our AYCE fix on KBBQ as they have a lot to choose from there. I got an invite to check out the restaurant for their soft opening. We came on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty full for a weekday as they are accepting walk-ins as well. I'm sure this place will be popular when they have their grand opening with long wait times. We got to our seat and looked thru their huge menu. Soo much to choose from here with hot pot and kbbq. We all got our hot pot of choosing. I got the tom yum broth and got some seafood and lots of veggies to go in it. The burner took a while to turn on so it took a while for my hot pot to start boiling to cook everything. The sauce bar had many sauce options I wasn't sure which to use but tried their house hot pot sauce which was good. We then moved to the KBBQ items and got many different meats - pork belly, brisket, bulgogi, spicy pork bolgogi etc. we wanted to order soju but they are still waiting for their ABC liquor license so maybe next time. I was also missing the little dishes that usually come with KBBQ - pickled radishes, steamed egg, corn cheese, pickled cucumbers etc. I hope that do add that later. The restaurant was big and really nice. I liked the lighting and the decor which had touches of Korea. The staff was friendly, although it did take long to get out our orders and everything. The food that I tried for the Korean BBQ was yummy (beef bulgogi, garlic shrimp, and pork belly)! The Hot Pot as well. You get the option of Korean BBQ, Hot Pot, or Both in an All-You-Can-Eat format for one price. We first started with getting our own sauces that we wanted to add to the Hot Pot or to the food in general. My mixture consisted of Teriyaki and Hoisin sauce together. We also got ramen with our Hot Pot. They have original and spicy flavors. I added shrimp dumplings and lobster balls to my Hot Pot. You can also add any veggies. When then started the Korean BBQ portion of the meal. If you have never been to a Korean BBQ place before, be prepared to cook your own food. I initially was intimidated but I was with friends that went before. The beef bulgogi was flavorful and tender. The garlic shrimp comes with the tail-on. But that's easily removed. The pork belly was plain and didn't have any sauces on it so it was a little tough and bland to me. We also got sides of white rice. The service this time was not the best. Our server didn't come by as often to check on us. We almost had to hunt him down just so we could pay and leave. Generally, this isn't an issue and hopefully a one time thing. read more

Babbbbbbbyyyyyy in my New Orleans voice. We were in the 757 area on a college visit to ODU and my daughter loves hot pot, so we decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat. When you enter the ambiance is on point, the lighting is low to enjoy a relaxing lunch/dinnner. When I tell you, the price is reasonable, the food comes out really quickly and the service was amazing. Grace did an awesome job making sure everything was on point. The Hot Pit 757 is a all you can eat made to order restaurant. The dining experience is unique because you cook your own meal. When you first enter the restaurant you are greeted by a hostess and at that time you have to decide if you'd like to try AYCE Hot pot, KBQ or both! AYCE Hot Pot or KBQ is 26 bucks pp. if you do both it's an additional 3 dollars pp. As a first timer I hated that I had to make the decision right away I would've loved more time to familiarize myself with the menu and go from their. But time was not something I had a lot of so we choose the KBQ. Our first round of meats we choose Brisket, beef ribs and shrimp!! All the meats were good but the shrimp were not all deveined so we did not orders those again! The surface we cooked the meat on developed a burnt film on it because of the sauce and the hot temperature. This was not changed so we had to scrap the burned layers off and try to cook around it. The restaurant does have a sauce bar which I was a little hesitant about because of covid. They did a good job trying to keep everyone covid safe. They had gloves and hand sanitizer at the bar. They also advised people to wear mask when moving through the bar area. The sauce bowls are in a tray. It's not clear if they were clean or dirty bowls based on the way they are displayed so I had to ask. The ventilation didn't bother me but I did leave smelling like bbq and that smell was tough to mask so beware of that. The restaurant is clean and the service is hit or miss. Our server was just ok- she didn't check in and had to be reminded a few times of things we needed. However there was a server near by that really engaged with his table and talked them through the process which I really loved. This place fills up quickly and carry long wait times so beware of that. Also FYI-if you don't finish all your food you could be charged with a 13.99 fee per lb of unfinished food . Overall I'm glad I got to experience the KBQ and would consider returning back to try the hot pot during cooler temperatures. read more
