Yes, yes, yes, YES! I recently moved to the area and have been seriously missing a good Korean spot--then I found Grammy Karaoke Korean BBQ, and wow... this hidden gem did not disappoint. I did takeout this time, and my food was ready quickly. I was greeted right at the door with super friendly service, which already set a great tone. The moment I walked in, I noticed how cute the place is: ample seating, cool vibes, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you instantly want to dine in. I'm already looking forward to coming back for the full experience. We got the spicy kimchi tofu soup, and let me tell you--chef's kiss. Perfectly soft tofu, a legit kick of spice, and the rice that comes with it was bomb. Total comfort food. We also ordered the bulgogi bibimbap and cheese corn, and mixing everything together was honestly life-changing. I was so full but somehow still wanted more. The portions are generous, everything was flavorful, and it hit exactly the spot I'd been craving. Highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

When it comes to Korean barbecue, I'm very selective. So when I heard about Grammy's Karaoke & Korean Barbecue, I was curious to see how they would blend food with entertainment. And honestly? It was a great time. The mix of karaoke and barbecue created a fun vibe. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind if you go. Watch your timing in the karaoke rooms and keep an eye on the drink prices, because the bill can add up quickly. For two people, about an hour and a half with a couple of appetizers and one or two drinks came out to around $80 definitely more than I expected. My advice: make sure your group is clear ahead of time on how the room and tab will be split. That way, everyone enjoys the vibe without stressing over the bill later. For me, this was more of a one-time experience rather than a spot I'd frequent. I was there for the vibes of my friend's birthday party!

I've been here twice and both times had an amazing experience. The first was for a friend's birthday party, we had rented a large room for karaoke and ordered food to our private room. The food was incredible great for sharing and we loved the karaoke. The second time I came with a friend to eat lunch. We ordered the soft tofu soup, LA galbi and tteokbokki. I was so impressed with all of the banchan that was offered every single dish was amazing! Especially the fish cakes and potato salad. The tteokbokkk has such great flavor and I love the addition of the eggs and the dumplings! The LA galbi are a must order. So incredibly flavorful, I dream about them! Whether you're looking for a casual lunch/dinner or a fun party vibe you can't go wrong wit Grammy Karaoke Korean BBQ!

Grammy Korean BBQ was recommended by a coworker who had spent time in Korea and raved about how authentic the food here was. I decided to check it out, and I'm glad I did. My first impression of the place was great it's spacious, nicely decorated, and the staff were super friendly. I ordered the beef bulgogi lunch special, and for just $13, you get everything shown in the photo. It was a generous and well balanced meal. Everything tasted fresh and homemade nothing had that frozen or pre made feel. The flavors were spot on, and the beef was tender and well seasoned.

Grammy is a nice for both karaoke and food. Karaoke wise, this is my favorite place to go in the Hampton Roads. The rooms are large and the booths are U shaped making it fun to sing together. They have the Korean karaoke control, which is the best in my opinion. There are many options for songs. Always a go to for our group of friends. Food is good. They do bbq and regular meals. One downer is the grills are portable ones, not in the table. The meat is okay. Sometimes I wish there was more flavor. They have steamed egg, which is classic. The cocktails are super good! The bar is another part of the restaurant. They are named after different kpop songs/groups, which I love. Overall a good place and lots of fun for groups!

I would come back for the karaoke and eat a few of their appetizers and drink soju. They had the latest K-Pop videos from IVE, Blackpink, Seventeen, Twice and others with the actual music videos. My daughters had so much fun singing their songs. I like how you choose the region of music and type to find the artist/song title. For food, we liked the Bulgogi Kimbap and the Tonkatsu, but everything else was just meh. The dolsot bimbimbap wasn't that good nor did it have any crispy rice at the bottom and there was zero seafood with their haemul pajun. Glad there are a few Korean restaurants within a short drive from the beach though.

Virginia Beach doesn't have much to do in the area. It's mostly a party vibe, so I guess this is one of the few places people go to hangout, enjoy, party, get drunk? The place is quite pricy, so bring your wallet and your party so the spilt would be cheaper. I believe the room for karaoke are $30 an hour or so, and the food is about $20-80 depending on what you order. All the food are alright portion, not enough for vouching for the price, but I get it you're coming here for the vibe and not for the food. The foood is just like regular Korean food. So nothing too impressive, the drinks are sorta expensive but hey, again you're here obviously for the vibe and a good time. The mic smells like saliva when we were first using it which was kinda gross, the song menu also smells really bad like someone also spilled a bunch and it was never cleaned up. They didn't have the most updated karaoke so they do give you the option to stream via iPhone to TV and play YouTube so you're basically borrowing their system which is kinda in my opinion silly bc we can just get a mic system at home. But again you're here for the vibes of karaoke sooooo. Come at your own risk. At the end we spent about $60 each. 20% tip automatically applied as well.

This is a great karaoke place to have a good time with friends! I was a part of a group celebrating a birthday. The service was great. Our main server was Maddy and she did a great job explaining how to karaoke system works and sharing her recommendations for the menu. I ordered the bulgogi platter and the seafood pancake. Let me first say that the seafood pancake is HUGE. I had no idea that it would be so large. I would say that it could feed 2-3 people. The bulgogi was a great serving size so it was filling and very tasty. The selection of songs was pretty good but I do feel like the system could be updated with more recent songs. I felt like most of the "newer" songs were from last year. So for more recent music, we used YouTube. But we still had a lot of fun! Our group had a good time and we're allowed to bring desserts for the birthday celebration. Looking forward to the next time!

This place is SO MUCH fun!!! Came here with some coworkers and we booked one of the private karaoke rooms. It was super spacious and had all kinds of fun lighting, two microphones, tambourines, and a huge tv. We hooked up one of our phones and found karaoke videos to follow on YouTube. There was a service call button on the wall and the staff was super quick and efficient. I tried the bubble pop drink - which was okay but very sweet. Then I got champagne - which when it came was not champagne but some kind of white wine. The chicken ramen though was the bomb dot com! It was seriously so unexpectedly good and I've thought about it many time since. I may see if they have it on doordash in the future :D Anyway, this was a great spot and created great memories!

Last time I came to this place was when they were separated from Grammy Karaoke, and I felt like the food was decent but over-priced. Now that they are combined with Grammy, and my opinion stays the same... The only dish I think is worth the price was the Galbi and of course the unlimited appetizer. Galbi was well marinated and the portion is fair for the price. The Japchae(Glass noodles) is $14 and that's too much for some glass noodle without any protein. The Tonkatsu(Fried pork cutlet) is thin and hard like a piece of cardboard. The sauce that comes on the side is decent but the main character is basically un-editable. Tbh this dish itself I'd give it a 1-star. Overall I don't think I'll come back especially under the inflation that we're living with. I guess I would have to get to-go at Tasty near Kempsville because their prices are more reasonable.

Ask the Community - Grammy Karaoke Korean BBQ

What does the parking look like? Is it parallel or is there a lot?

They have a parking lot and side parking as well. Not a lot though, so Friday and Saturday nights you may want to drive together since there are other businesses in the complex.

I'm noticing that it's cheaper to walk in and get a room by the hour versus a reservation in advance.is anything included with a reservation?

A room with karaoke and food and drinks service to the room.

    Can you bring kids?

Kid friendly. I had my kids up there singing too.

    Is dine in available yet?

Yes, ate there a few times already. Enjoy!

Is it all you can eat like unlimited barbecue?

No, I it is not a all you can eat..but you will leave stuffed. Appetizers are scrumptious as well. The meal it self is quite large. We went home with leftovers. Give them a try. Sure to fine something or five you want to try on their menu.

Do they still spicy chicken feet at this location?

I just asked. Yes they do, but it's on the secret menu.

How much is it for a room with 15 or 16 people?

    55 for 14

Do they have open Karaoke or only private rooms?

They do open Karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday nights after 9:30

Do they have R&B karaoke songs from the 80's or 90's?

Yes. They have all genres through a wide range of years, including the 80's and 90's.

Are there vegan items on the menu?

Hello, yes I believe so!! They have veggie fried rice, kimchi fried rice, veggie kimbop, and some of there soups like the soft tufo one and ramen can be made meatless in a veggie broth upon request. Also the have japchae(ask for no bulgogi) and…

Did you have to reserve a room in advance and how much does it cost?

No need to reserve, we just walked in. And $25 an hr for a room.

We fell in love with the place before even getting the food. Which, we got way too much of because the portions are huge. We always try to sample a bit of everything so we had plenty to take home. We had the hot snow onion drumsticks, soy garlic tenders and red pepper gizzards. The gizzards were mostly for me as I enjoy the texture. My kid and wife are not fans lol. The spice level on the red pepper sauce was there but not overwhelming. But the chicken, oh my lord the chicken. The snow onion was an experience I've never had with chicken before. We've had Korean style fried chicken many many times but never like this. I'm not even sure how to describe the flavor. Savory with the sweetness of a good Vidalia onion and a hint of heat. Perfection. The drumsticks were super crispy and super juicy. The soy garlic tenders were also very good. Strong garlic flavor with the umami of the soy glaze. We were also recommended by the nice lady that they just started doing fried rice so we tried it as well. It also did not disappoint. Very flavorful but the kid ate most of it and they're picky. Seriously though I can't recommend this place enough. Please go support this awesome little family. If we're ever in the area again, we will for sure stop back in.
