Came for karaoke, stayed because the staff (Daniel, Lou, Bryan, Jennifer, Nesha & Mae) made it the best night ever. I've been to Grammy Karaoke a few times before, but I've never had a night like the one we had yesterday, and it was entirely because of the STAFF Truly, they made our night. My two friends and I came in pretty late, so there was a bit of a wait, but instead of feeling stuck, we were immediately taken care of at the bar. LOU was amazing; answering all our questions, giving great recommendations, and making us feel welcomed right away. BRYAN was behind the bar making absolutely superb drinks and keeping the energy fun the whole time. Once we got into our room, DANIEL showed us the ropes and completely set the tone for the night. He was friendly, entertaining, and genuinely thoughtful; he even tried to save us money when we were ordering too many drinks by suggesting the soju yogurt drink (which was delicious and clutch). That kind of care really stood out. Throughout the night, JENNIFER and MAE would check in so politely, always making sure not to interrupt the vibe. Jennifer especially was so warm and conversational which made everything feel more personal. Mae even helped us calculate things out when paying at the end which helped ease tensions too! And somehow the amazing service didn't stop there, because even the bathroom experience was memorable. We met NESHA, who made sure we were okay, not too out of it, and somehow managed to make us laugh and have even more fun from such a short interaction. Who knew? At the end of the night, while waiting for our ride and with the place closing in five minutes, instead of rushing us out into the cold, the staff let us sit at the bar and just talk. That ended up being my FAVORITE part of the night. We laughed, chatted, and genuinely felt like we had made new friends. Daniel, Lou, Bryan, Jennifer, Nesha, and Mae--thank you. You didn't just give great service; you created an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. We left having had the time of our lives and feeling like we'd made real connections. I'll absolutely be coming back to Grammy Karaoke, hoping we'll meet again. I recommend everyone come here; and if you're nervous, new to karaoke, or just want a guaranteed good night, keep an eye out for these staff members. When it comes to Korean barbecue, I'm very selective. So when I heard about Grammy's Karaoke & Korean Barbecue, I was curious to see how they would blend food with entertainment. And honestly? It was a great time. The mix of karaoke and barbecue created a fun vibe. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind if you go. Watch your timing in the karaoke rooms and keep an eye on the drink prices, because the bill can add up quickly. For two people, about an hour and a half with a couple of appetizers and one or two drinks came out to around $80 definitely more than I expected. My advice: make sure your group is clear ahead of time on how the room and tab will be split. That way, everyone enjoys the vibe without stressing over the bill later. The food was incredible great for sharing and we loved the karaoke. The second time I came with a friend to eat lunch. We ordered the soft tofu soup, LA galbi and tteokbokki. I was so impressed with all of the banchan that was offered every single dish was amazing! Especially the fish cakes and potato salad. I've been here twice with my husband and we love it. Their hotpots are just amazing. On the menu it says they serve 2, but one hotpot could easily serve 4+ people. Don't let the price scare you, it is well worth the cost. We had tons of leftovers to take home. If love spicy food, definitely get one of the spicy options, they are so good. However, if you don't have a tolerance for heat, definitely go for one of the non spicy options. We love the ambiance too, it's really cute inside. They also have karaoke rooms. They have little server call buttons on the tables, so if you don't get good service that's on you. But, I don't think we ever needed to use the call button. Booked a reservation for a private kareoke room, when we arrived it wasn't ready until after the reservation time. We only ordered drinks, it took 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks that we ordered, then service was spotty following that, we didn't get extra time at the end that was lost at the beginning. Went to close out at the front, some of us paid and then they had to redo the bills because gratuity wasn't added. They have the Korean karaoke control, which is the best in my opinion. There are many options for songs. Always a go to for our group of friends. Food is good. They do bbq and regular meals. I would come back for the karaoke and eat a few of their appetizers and drink soju. They had the latest K-Pop videos from IVE, Blackpink, Seventeen, Twice and others with the actual music videos. My daughters had so much fun singing their songs. I like how you choose the region of music and type to find the artist/song title. For food, we liked the Bulgogi Kimbap and the Tonkatsu, but everything else was just meh. The dolsot bimbimbap wasn't that good nor did it have any crispy rice at the bottom and there was zero seafood with their haemul pajun. Virginia Beach doesn't have much to do in the area. It's mostly a party vibe, so I guess this is one of the few places people go to hangout, enjoy, party, get drunk? The place is quite pricy, so bring your wallet and your party so the spilt would be cheaper. I believe the room for karaoke are $30 an hour or so, and the food is about $20-80 depending on what you order. All the food are alright portion, not enough for vouching for the price, but I get it you're coming here for the vibe and not for the food. The foood is just like regular Korean food. So nothing too impressive, the drinks are sorta expensive but hey, again you're here obviously for the vibe and a good time. The mic smells like saliva when we were first using it which was kinda gross, the song menu also smells really bad like someone also spilled a bunch and it was never cleaned up. They didn't have the most updated karaoke so they do give you the option to stream via iPhone to TV and play YouTube so you're basically borrowing their system which is kinda in my opinion silly bc we can just get a mic system at home. This is a great karaoke place to have a good time with friends! I was a part of a group celebrating a birthday. The service was great. Our main server was Maddy and she did a great job explaining how to karaoke system works and sharing her recommendations for the menu. I ordered the bulgogi platter and the seafood pancake. Let me first say that the seafood pancake is HUGE. I had no idea that it would be so large. I would say that it could feed 2-3 people. The bulgogi was a great serving size so it was filling and very tasty. The selection of songs was pretty good but I do feel like the system could be updated with more recent songs. I felt like most of the "newer" songs were from last year. So for more recent music, we used YouTube. But we still had a lot of fun! This place is SO MUCH fun!!! Came here with some coworkers and we booked one of the private karaoke rooms. It was super spacious and had all kinds of fun lighting, two microphones, tambourines, and a huge tv. We hooked up one of our phones and found karaoke videos to follow on YouTube. There was a service call button on the wall and the staff was super quick and efficient. I tried the bubble pop drink - which was okay but very sweet. Then I got champagne - which when it came was not champagne but some kind of white wine. The chicken ramen though was the bomb dot com! It was seriously so unexpectedly good and I've thought about it many time since. Last time I came to this place was when they were separated from Grammy Karaoke, and I felt like the food was decent but over-priced. Now that they are combined with Grammy, and my opinion stays the same... The only dish I think is worth the price was the Galbi and of course the unlimited appetizer. Galbi was well marinated and the portion is fair for the price. The Japchae(Glass noodles) is $14 and that's too much for some glass noodle without any protein. The Tonkatsu(Fried pork cutlet) is thin and hard like a piece of cardboard. The sauce that comes on the side is decent but the main character is basically un-editable. Tbh this dish itself I'd give it a 1-star. Overall I don't think I'll come back especially under the inflation that we're living with. I guess I would have to get to-go at Tasty near Kempsville because their prices are more reasonable. read more

I've been to Grammy before for karaoke and drinks but never for food! This was an amazing experience and I truly enjoyed everything from the kpop, to the never ending sides, and the great smoothies. I've been to quite a few Korean barbecue spots around this area, but this is by far the best one. It was easy and they didn't have to keep removing the grill. The service was also great. It seems like everyone helps with everything and the inside is very updated and has a fresh look. My three friends and I ordered the KBBQ that came with brisket, duck, and marinated galbi. My daughters and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, dating back when they were a couple doors down in a teeny tiny hole in the wall. I recently convinced my husband to finally join me for dinner, after all the hype he has heard over the years, imagine my surprise when we had the sh*ttiest experience I've ever encountered! I was ooooing and aaaahhhing over the new tables, so fancy! We get seated right away, only a few tables were sat. The "hostess"? Stated someone would be with us shortly...yeaaaaa no, not at all for over 20 minutes. I experimented and pushed the call button on my table, somehow I heard it ding over the ridiculously loud music (not the karaoke)...still no one came for about 5 minutes. I was not giving up, I wanted my bulgogi fix I had to literally wave a person down, so sad considering there were tons of employees doing a whole lot of nothing. Pretty sure the people at the table across from us left without paying, seemed to leave almost all the food they ordered with food on the table grill still! Should have taken that as a sign to leave, so sad! Food came out quickly once we placed our order, it was mid...like wtf happened to the amazing food we used to get? I could have looked past the sh*t service if the food had tasted amazing. Even the side dishes were not that good ughhhhhh! My husband said, thanks but no thanks...won't go back. My daughter and our friends ended up at Grammy Karaoke and we had the time of our lives. It was just us four so we were able to fit comfortable in the small room but they also offer a medium and large size room for bigger parties. I'll be honest, it took a little time to understand how to work the karaoke machine (even after the staff explained it to us) because of the language barrier set up but once you understand it, you easily got the hang of it. The selection of songs is practically endless. You name it, they probably have it. We were able to order drinks and sing to the top of our lungs with no interruptions. The order came with 6 small side veggies: mashed potatoes, fish cake, kimchi, zucchini, spicy zucchini and spicy Effie's (onions). They give you one refill of these veggies! The bulgogi was good. Went with a group mainly for karaoke no reservations so we had to wait. From what I was told they have 3 large rooms, 2 medium rooms, and like 6 small rooms. Originally we were waiting for a medium room, but then decided to get the large room. I didn't bother with the Korean media remote to find songs, I had them put it on YouTube and whatever you search, just put "karaoke" at the end and then boom, any song you want is on karaoke. They will connect someone's phone and if you have someone that's willing to take charge of the songs, it'll be a nice time and less waiting around for someone to look for a song. Start adding to queue, ask the next person what songs. we sang for 3 hours nonstop, it was a great time. You can order food and drink in the room. We had appetizers, which weren't too great in my opinion. I'd be weary of the price tho, because the rate didn't match to what was said from the beginning at the end. My group had fun which is what mattered. So for that 4/5. I would go again if Im in VA. read more

Wow super over priced . They make you sign a contract & take a photo of Your ID and credit card online before you can go to the karaoke room. The most expensive Korean food I have ever ate in my whole life! I have never seen Galbi listed as "market price" in my life. And if you have to order 2 plates (@$30/plate) if you want it. I was so upset at the prices I opted out of KBBQ. The K-pop music was loud and I could see it being a fun place to kick it with a large group to drink and do karaoke but not to dine. I judge a Korean place by the level of banchan (Korean side dishes) and this place gave us 5 tiny dishes for 6 adults. We got one piece of cucumber kimchi each. The worst part of my experience was the Galbi was subpar because it tasted like charcoal and dry AND THERE WAS A PIECE OF CHARRED SARAN WRAP in the dish after chowing down about 4 pieces. I didn't cause a scene and wrote it nicely on the receipt that I paid in full plus the 20% gratuity they added for a party of 6 splitting the bill 3 ways smh. I gave it 2 stars because the waitress was very friendly and the bulgogi kimbap was pretty good. Will never eat here again. Cannot recommend. I would pay $60 for one Galbi plate if it's good. Last night 09/30/23 I had my party here. I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed by the service and the compensation that was given to me for everything that happened. I got to this establishment at 7 pm to decorate, which was really cool, but it went downhill after that. So everyone of my party arrives, but no one showed us how to work the machine for the karaoke. Then there's a call button on the wall which was being responded to when we got there at 7 pm to decorate, but I assume was ignored the duration of the night after that. I must have pushed that button 12 times. We got started at 7:45 pm with the karaoke after figuring it out ourselves. We went without drinks or food orders for the next hour. They had brought 4 pitchers of water before my guests got there. They were never filled after that. I ordered a diet coke and that was only filled 1 time. So, we must've went out searching for waiters 5+ times, we even rang the call button yet to my dismay no one came until the manager came when I finally spotted him and he came in with us finally to take our orders. This was after an hour of waiting for someone, or any one of the servers. I was getting upset because the time on the party starts ticking at the time you requested the room for. So 7:30 pm would have been the start time. It was now 8:40 when the manager on duty came in to take our orders. Another 30 minutes went by and a server comes in and tells us that they are starting our food. STARTING the food... not bringing it out. The times ticking so by now it's past 9 pm, and my room was only rented for 2 hours, so 9:30 would have been the cutoff mark. They assured me that they would compensate for the time missed while we were waiting for a server. But they didn't say ANYTHING about the time we waiting for our food too. As the party was winding down everything else went okay. They had a remote control for the fans above us, but they carried it around with them. So we couldn't light the candles on my cake properly either. I and my friends will not come back to this establishment I can't truly speak for everyone but I know I definitely would not come back until something changes. The parking was also garbage. I was only compensate for 40 minutes. They charged me over $200 dollars for the room rental even though the party was made extra stressful by the situations going on. I know it's at least something that they gave me a 40 minute discount, but when you're that messy and disorganized and set a negative mood for the party then something else needs to be done. I've work in retail and some food work in my life and you always treat the customer with value, because word of mouth and such can help you or harm you. I hated to write this review but someone had to.
