Guy who only warms up the food

Is great food and a nice vibe. Service is also good, unless you get the old skinny guy as your cook. Every time I have had my things cooked by him it is under cooked. And the one time I said something and asked him to cook it longer I spent the rest of my stay with him starring me down. That's the only down side to this place.

Genghis Khan has long been a favorite of mine for nostalgic reasons... i was there once long ago and it was the very first Mongolian BBQ place I had ever been to... so it was a really nice place to bring Logan to and have dinner after a very long drive to Chesapeake. We were sat down quickly, and given our drinks, soup, rice, and a few nice warm pieces of bread. Everyone was very friendly and quick to refill my water, bring me more soup and my son more bread. The Problem here is the variety is very small for a place whose entire schtick is Mongolian BBQ. When you're charging similar rates as other locations that offer a full buffet along with a hibachi option, OR in the case of places like BD's they offer many more options for noodles, vegetables, and the like. My MAIN Problem, and this is something the restaurant needs to be made aware of, is on the evening we were there the older gentleman cooking the food was 100% cross contaminating bowls. The woman would dump the food onto the griddle, use the bowl a little for water transfer and chop of items on the griddle, and then grab a new bowl for the freshly cooked food. The old man, adorable as he was to watch, did not. He put the freshly cooked food right back into the bowl that he dumped from.. which means a bowl that just had raw chicken or pork in it. EEEK! Anyway.... other than that, the experience was nice, the nostalgia was still there. I miss the polaroids on the wall!

First time trying Mongolian BBQ, and honestly it's no different than the hibachi station at your local Chinese buffet, if not worse. They have one grill for the whole restaurant and chefs go in a circular motion grilling up your plate. You get low quality spaghetti noodles and few vegetables, then you have choices of meats. All low quality. I'd recommend putting a scoop of all sauces per recommendation, otherwise it's bland. For $14.99, you can definitely go to a Chinese buffet or even spend extra to go to AYCE KBBQ. But! It's worth the experience if you want to try this to say you've tried it. I wish the staff would clean the restaurant more frequently. There's lots of cross contamination, juices on the floor and counter, etc.

It was our first time trying this place and they did not disappoint. My husband, son and I went. Everyone was very nice . Our waitress was very nice and attentive. It's buffet style get a bowl feel up with all the different meats and veggies and noodles you like. I added every sauce to my bowl like 2 full scoops of each. Many sauces too choose from They then cook it for you in this circular like grill. It is only one grill and 2 people going in a circular motion. But food was still ready in no time even as they started to become packed. We also got white rice, bread and egg soup and a spicy soup. Everything was very good hot and fresh. It was so good. We went back 2 days later for round two. Will definitely be going back again real soon. This place is a must try.

How is this place anything but 5 stars?! Genghis Khan Mongolian Bar-B-Q is SO DELICIOUS! Located right off of Military Highway, this restaurant seems to have been around for a long time, offering some great build-your-own stir-fries! I love that this place focuses on what they are so great at - Mongolian BBQ! There really isn't a 'wrong' way to do this - just grab a bowl, load up on their amazing noodles, add any veggies you like (I usually like the onions, the scallions, maybe a bit of broccoli, and the white mushrooms); you can then add your choice of protein (pork, crab, beef, or chicken) and then ladle any myriad of sauces - the eatery recommends a ladle of each of all their sauces to start off, if you're unsure, as it's a tried and true recipe. I usually stick with the garlic, the ginger, the Mongolian house sauce, sesame oil, and a bit of the chili oil. Don't be afraid, and make sure you experiment to perfect your favorite combination of sauces! Because this is AYCE, you have plenty of opportunities to get it right and to stuff yourself! Some patrons like to double-up, where one bowl is focused on the veggies, and the other bowl full of meat. Even though this place is AYCE, the quality of the offerings was fresh and also refilled often. The chefs here are extremely talented and cook up your items perfectly! Note that your bowl comes piping hot, so beware! In addition, you also receive a complimentary bowl of hot & sour soup or egg drop soup, a bowl of steamed rice (can be enjoyed with your sauced up protein!), and a basket of shaobing (a toasted sesame bread; kind of reminds you of a Chinese version of naan!); all of these were yummy! Our server, Mr. Peter, was SOOO welcoming and amazing - he checked-in on us throughout our dining experience to make sure that everything was great! Thank you! The staff here in general is very kind and sweet! Don't forget to tip the chefs! While it's not too large of a space, the place does get packed to the gills quickly - there seems to be a loyal following, and I'm not surprised! Whether you end up enjoying 1 bowl or 10, your tummy and your heart will thank you for it :D Check this place out - you won't be disappointed! Plenty of parking in their private lot. +delicious AYCE Mongolian BBQ! +their noodles are FIRE! +friendly and kind staff! +plenty of parking

This is the best Mongolian hole in the wall!! First I must say they used there time off at the beginning of covid-19 wisely and got new tables and chairs. Looks good!!! To help in the fight of the spread of covid-19 the supply plastic gloves to use while selecting your food for the Stirfry. Most of the people I noticed didn't use them but I definitely used a pair. Thank you!! Our waiter Tommy was so sweet and efficient. Tommy didn't let my glass of water get half way and he was right there with a refill!!!

    Egg drop soup. Best bread!!

They closed for a while and I thought that meant for good. NOPE! Open and refreshed! New owner. Food just as good. You make your own food. Pick what you want. Put it in a bowl. Put sauce on it. Or don't! They make it fast! Now, the trick is to do noodles and veggies in one bowl and meat in the other. Yes. You can do a to go meal. The best part is the yummy bread. Little bowl of soup and rice. Bring the kids. The whole family and friends.... Or just you.

Now hot & sour soup is 1 of my favs & i get it at my local Chinese restaurants and its good HOWEVER for me this place's has always been amazing & the way its supposed to taste!!! Oh excuse the pics i could NOT take pics before at least eating some!! Lol

This is first time I've been here in years and I got takeout. They still provide noodles and various vegetables and meat selection. The sauces don't seem as flavorful as they did years ago, I used two scoops of each but my dish barely had flavor. I like that they did provide rice and sesame bread with the take out. However I was a little surprised I was charged the all you can eat buffet price for my one takeout dish, If I had known I would have filled my bowl up more. I may come back again but I would dine in and not takeout

This was the most bland food that I have ever eaten. I loaded the bowl with noodles, zucchini, onions, bean sprouts, carrots with beef and 2 scoops of the garlic, sesame oil and the chili oil. The vegetables were cut extremely inconsistent so the zucchini was still raw and the noodles had a rubbery chew to them. The bread was decent and the tea was okay. I won't be coming back

Warrior's Grill is located in the Renaissance Place Shopping Center located on N. Great Neck Rd…read more just a little north of Virginia Beach Blvd. With them being part of a shopping center, there was ample parking available here. My visit here was on March 25, 2024. It had been a while since I had been to a Mongolian BBQ place since DW's Mongolian closed during the pandemic. I have heard of the place in the past, but hadn't been in there. They are in the middle of the shopping center, and almost missed it at first. It wasn't busy when I came in, but it was at an off peak time. We were immediately greeted and got to a table. The server asked if we wanted any soups, but we declined. You also get some white rice at the table, but that is one thing I avoid since it can spike sugar levels. It was time to go up to the food picking area to have it cooked. I went with several vegetables, as well as white meat chicken and beef. There are several sauces to add as well, but I generally avoid the sugar water one. It is all you can eat when you dine in, so you can go up multiple times. Since we were able to go up multiple times, I was definitely full by the time I was done after three visits. They were quick for refills as needed and the clearing of used plates too. Overall, the service and food were good. I had no issues while there. One thing that I would have hoped for was to have seafood options like shrimp or scallops as well. The pricing is good for what you get here as I was here during the early dinner time. If you're looking for a place that has Mongolian BBQ, this is a solid place to come and check out.
