I so love this place! Very happy we had a reservation on a busy Friday night. We went to celebrate birthdays, which is so nice because if it's within 3 days of the birthday, it's free! There are so many options. Unfortunately I did not take any pics while dining, but everything was delicious (after we cooked it, of course). I also really enjoyed the seaweed salad! The staff was very nice, attentive, when helpful. We also indulged in the tiramisu, which is super delicious! What a treat! 5 STARS! I just don't go here often enough. It can be busy, so make a reservation. We will be back!

I do not know how much they cost since it was all free This Restaurant is good They will sing Happy Birthdays to anyone while also offering to give a free Meal for the Birthday person if there are around 4+ People Staff is very attentive with getting your needs Their variety of variety Bulgogi is their best food. I think the premium meat such as the Galbi are meh and too fatty. Their sides are delicious though

    Tiramisu! So yum

This has been so far the best AYCE Korean BBQ in the 757. It doesn't have the hot pot, so that sucks but as far as the meat and the marinaded meat, it's the best flavor! They do have the sauces already prepped at the table, so need to get up from your table to make your sauce. It can be good or bad, I guess. They also have kitchen dishes already made like wings, japche, cheese corn, spicy rice cake and etc. That's also a plus. Also, this place uses real fire hot plate to cook your protein. It's not an electric kind where your food can't get that nice char. Also, this place has good ventilation but I don't smell like I was playing in a smoky kitchen lol!

Never regret a time here with friends! Special shoutout to Kat our waitress for going above and beyond to make sure we were all taken care of at ALL times. Don't be shy to try/order any and everything you see as it is an all you can eat menu. The sticky wings have been an all time favorite with my friends, but definitely add that Miso Pork belly to the list too! Will for sure be frequenting this restaurant!

Had to make an update food is great but communication is terrible especially from the host clearly has a bad estimate on time and with everything else just a bad experience said to be 1hour to a hour half waited for 2 1/2 hours what a crazy night wish they could do better on letting us know or communicate better

I'm not a hibachi guy at all; i actually try to avoid them. So going to this place was ONLY because my friend group wanted to go. There were 5 of us so we went. I'm really glad we did. This is the best hibachi style, family style restaurants. I don't wanna cook if I'm going out i cook all the time at home. But this was the best I've had recently. The company i had with me helped as they were all carnivores and ordered all the meats, but that was only possible because of the great selection Gogi has to offer. Drinks were goo and they actually had alcohol in them, the food selection was diverse enough to not get bored after one or two cooks, the staff was attentive and offered great service. Casual ambience that you could enjoy with ample parking across the street. Definitely will be back!

I made reservations through Yelp and I'm very glad I did. When we arrived for our 6pm reservation there were already many people waiting for tables and the restaurant was busy! We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server was attentive and explained how the menu and process of ordering and cooking worked. It is AYCE (all you can eat) so you basically order whatever meat, veggie and chef plates that you want at whatever point during your dining experience that you want. We were a group of 4 people and we pretty much tried most items. They provide each person which a tray of dipping sauces. It is a lot of fun cooking and tasting everything. Make sure to keep your cooking utensils separate from your eating utensils for contamination free purposes. I definitely recommend Gogi Guys as an entertaining and interactive place to eat. Dessert of either an ice cream cup or tiramisu is also included in your AYCE dinner.

I have been to a few Korean BBQ places and decided to try Goji Guy in Norfolk. I love the decor and atmosphere. Our waitress was super cute and sweet! I love that they give large portions of meats compared to other places I've been to. They are pricier than other places I have been to, but the quality and portions are worth it! My ONLY complaint would be when the first turn on the burners or switch out the plates, they turn them up really high so they heat up more quickly. The issue is, they forgot to come back a few times to turn it down so the food burns. Other than that, I would definitely visit again and recommend to others!

Gogi Guys continues to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants! I've been multiple times now, and each visit just reinforces why I keep coming back. The food is seasoned perfectly--flavorful, but never overwhelming--and the quality is always top-notch. The service? Impeccable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps the experience smooth no matter how busy they are. I've raved about this place so much that I've gotten my friends hooked too! If you haven't been yet, you're seriously missing out. Gogi Guys is easily a must-visit spot in Norfolk, and I'll be back many more times!

Came here for my birthday dinner after hearing they offered a birthday freebie--unfortunately, there was a big hidden condition that it only applies if you have a party of 4 or more. Definitely a letdown and not the warmest birthday surprise. We had reservations, but instead of a smooth welcome, it felt a bit disorganized and chaotic--waited to be seated while staff seemed scattered. That vibe carried throughout the night: even the bathrooms were out of soap and paper towels, which doesn't inspire confidence when the place is packed. Now, onto the food--the real highlight. The meats were well-marinated and tasty, and the banchan was fresh, though the selection felt more limited compared to Korean BBQ spots I've had in the Bay Area. Still, what they did serve was solid and satisfying. Loved the seafood pancake and beef bulgogi, and the grill setup was clean and efficient. The ambiance is fun with its neon vibes, but service needs tightening and the "birthday promo" should be communicated upfront. Overall, the food makes it a solid 4 stars, but with a bit more polish, it could easily hit 5.

It has been a whole year and a half since I came back to Gogi Guys. I do have to mention that the service is so much better (at least on weekdays). They don't give indiviual banchan anymore, instead of a group banchan (the potato, peanuts, and the pickled radish were my favorite). Our waitress was very quick with our order and changed out our grill very often. In terms of side dishes other than the meat, I highly recommend getting the seafood/scallion pancake and the steamed egg. The meat was better quality than last time and I ate so much more than last time. They do first come first serve still, but you have to wait until the table is set up for you, which takes a couple minutes of waiting. If it's a big group, you need a reservation. Parking is street parking or in the parking lot where Aldi is.

Ask the Community - Gogi Guys Korean BBQ

Hi, can a single person have dinner or does there have to be more than 1?

Yes, you can have a table for 1. I saw someone eating by themselves when I last ate there.

Are there different prices for lunch compared to dinner like other Korean BBQ spots in the area?

I don't believe so. I think the AYCE option is all day long. However, for lunch, I believe they have set menu items for a cheaper price like bento boxes and such. Enjoy!

How does the payment work? Is there a specific total per person or do the meats add up as the total?

Hi Emily, This is an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ, you can order anything and as much as you can eat on the menu. We charge by per person just like buffet.

Is there a private parking lot or is it street parking?

We parked in the street when we went.

Does the restaurant need reservation for a group of 8+ customers?

Yes so they have prime time to prepare and so that you won't have to wait a hour plus to be seated.

When we arrived around 8:30pm, it was about a 30 minute wait but we assumed it was because of the Valentine weekend. Once we were seated, our server quickly greeted us and provided the run down of the food items for us to choose from. I absolutely loved how we were able to order our food right from the tablet at our table. It made ordering very convenient and the food was served pretty quickly. We tried some of everything, the Spicy Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Chicken, Sliced Ribeye, Garlic Pork Belly, Calamari and Scallops to name a few. We also ordered the Gyoza, a few sushi rolls and white & fried rice. After we ordered, we went to the sauce bar to grab our sauces and the area was very dirty. Some of the sauces were empty as well. They should have someone on sauce duty to keep that area clean because it was disgusting! I chose what I could and we headed back to our table. The food was fresh with the exception of the seafood, I wasn't a fan! My favorite was the Spicy Beef Bulgogi! Unfortunately, it did take a while for our server to change out the grill after we finished cooking. At one point, we both started coughing because the grill was smoking profusely as we waited for it to be changed out lol. Overall, I would give 3.5 stars. Our server was very friendly and the food was pretty good but I would probably try another Korean BBQ spot next time.

Last time I came it, it was empty. This time me and my mom came hefe on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not full but it was busy! We had to wait for about 30 minutes since we wanted to do bbq (where the grill is installed on the table, and not all tables look like that), but there's no wait if you're not doing bbq. The staff were quick and nice. There are bells next to our table and we can use that bell to ask for service, what a great idea! We ordered Korean pancake with seafood, spicy tofu soup with beef(comes with rice), Galbi (bbq short ribs)(comes with rice), and a grape flavored soju. Just like other Korean restaurants, we were provided with unlimited banchans and salad, and they were all fresh and delicious. The Korean pancake is HUGE. It's also not too much breading but full of leeks and onion, and it was thin and crispy. The Spicy Tofu Soup with beef tasted decent, but I'd like more beef in it. The Galbi was good portion (2 long pieces, 1 small pieces and 2 bones with some meat on) and the marinade tasted good, but I still think $44 is a tad high. The only star was taken off is really the price for the bbq meat. I can see premium protein could be charged higher, but pork, chicken and flat iron steak are some cheaper cut that I personally think is a bit high. I might come back during lunch time to take advantage of their lunch menu tho!

I've been to Grammy Karaoke a few times before, but I've never had a night like the one we had yesterday, and it was entirely because of the STAFF Truly, they made our night. My two friends and I came in pretty late, so there was a bit of a wait, but instead of feeling stuck, we were immediately taken care of at the bar. LOU was amazing; answering all our questions, giving great recommendations, and making us feel welcomed right away. BRYAN was behind the bar making absolutely superb drinks and keeping the energy fun the whole time. Once we got into our room, DANIEL showed us the ropes and completely set the tone for the night. He was friendly, entertaining, and genuinely thoughtful; he even tried to save us money when we were ordering too many drinks by suggesting the soju yogurt drink (which was delicious and clutch). That kind of care really stood out. Throughout the night, JENNIFER and MAE would check in so politely, always making sure not to interrupt the vibe. Jennifer especially was so warm and conversational which made everything feel more personal. Mae even helped us calculate things out when paying at the end which helped ease tensions too! And somehow the amazing service didn't stop there, because even the bathroom experience was memorable. We met NESHA, who made sure we were okay, not too out of it, and somehow managed to make us laugh and have even more fun from such a short interaction. Who knew? At the end of the night, while waiting for our ride and with the place closing in five minutes, instead of rushing us out into the cold, the staff let us sit at the bar and just talk. That ended up being my FAVORITE part of the night. We laughed, chatted, and genuinely felt like we had made new friends. Daniel, Lou, Bryan, Jennifer, Nesha, and Mae--thank you. You didn't just give great service; you created an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. We left having had the time of our lives and feeling like we'd made real connections. I'll absolutely be coming back to Grammy Karaoke, hoping we'll meet again. I recommend everyone come here; and if you're nervous, new to karaoke, or just want a guaranteed good night, keep an eye out for these staff members. I will say that I have been to multiple locations, this one was the lowest in quality. The Buffett bar wasn't labeled correctly in the sauces area, and the hot items available were not good. Fries??? My coworker nd I were just talking about how good the chicken is usually at kpot but not this location. Service was horrible, the server was trying to be friendly which is great, but there was like 3 people in the place, and I am sure that the other person eating was a worker on their break. So it shouldn't have taken very long to get drinks and to service us, I ended up having to get everything myself, all utensils, soup ladles, extra plates. There was only 3 people in the building eating there should be no reason for us not to be checked on, or sodas refilled. The server that brought our food out, practically threw the food on the table, we were trying to make space for everything and he was holding a bowl of rice and I guess we took to long and he pretty much slammed it on the table and walked away, and we told the server this and he said that he was made about something, which is not an excuse for this to have happened! Fried rice was horrible! White rice seemed to have been served awhile ago and it was hard on top. Everyone in the building wasn't paying attention to anything, I waited for 10 mins to my bill checked out at my table, I went to the restroom which is another story! And my bill and card still hadn't been picked up from the table, I told my friend let's go and walked to the front thinking someone would finally come but no, they didn't I stood there looking for someone, could've walked right out and they wouldn't have noticed us gone. But I am not that kind of person, and I stood there waiting for my bill to be rung up. Bathroom had no soap! How are employees washing their hands! All the utensils pilled up, 90% of them looked like they needed to be rewashed, and there was a mildew smell coming from that area, take it all down and clean it! I love KPOT, and haven't had an experience like this at any other location, I hope this helps this location take a look at the details!
