Went on a Friday at about 7:3pm, had about a 40 min wait. It was pretty busy. Large dining area with room for kids to play while waiting. The restaurant has a sort of rustic modern look. Good spot for Korean BBQ. Quality of meats is superb and this is a popular spot for Koreans so you know it's authentic. Charcoal grills, and their combo meal options is the way to go if you want a delicious and filling meal. Came here for our company end of year dinner and we were debating between this place and a few other options but ending up choosing here ultimately for their excellent reputation among native Koreans. 770 is owned by same owners of 678 which is also a great place for Korean BBQ but this one is actually better imho. The waiter speak English so they can help answer any questions you may have, and they are happy to refill sides and answer questions and requests quickly and efficiently. We ordered a combo platter which I HIGHLY recommend over the unlimited options for their quality and variety. They have good options for drinks but they don't have fruit flavored soju which was fine since they will give you lime to squeeze into your shots if that's what you are going for. Parking is plentiful and seating is comfortable. They check your temperatures before seating you due to covid social distancing and they wear masks and the ambiance is quite comfortable and inviting. I am quite surprised they only have a 3.5 star rating on Yelp but I guess that's mainly because customers didn't order correctly. All the members in my party had a blast and we enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. 678 is arguably one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants of metro Atlanta. That being said, 770 had some high expectations to live up to. The restaurant has a lot of space inside - maybe it looks like this because the tables are very spread out and there is a lot of unused space. You would think with such a large surface area, they would add more seating. My biggest concern was the very slow service. We were seated in clear view of the kitchen entrance so we could see the confusion up close. It was a weeknight and they weren't super busy but my God, you would think they were swamped. Usually, I'm able to get a good two or three of platters of meat inside my belly before I'm full, but after the first serving, I started to get full due to the long pauses between platters of meat. The meat quality was mostly on par with what you would find at 678. We ordered all you can eat for $29.99, as there were only two of us eating and splitting a $99.99 combo would be too much. The offerings on the menu at 770 are exactly the same as at 678: Pork belly, Pork skin, Pork neck, and seasoned short ribs. I'm not a huge fan of the pork skin and neck but the belly and ribs are spot on, however, they just take much longer to cook. And with the long pauses between each order, we got full off the heavier meats quickly. With the lack of attention from our original server, the manager served us and cooked our meat to the best of his ability. Overall, I was very disappointed in the disoriented service, as I know 678 prides themselves on exemplary service. However, the meat quality can't be denied, it was delicious. I just wish there were more varied meat options in the $29.99 AYCE menu. My friend Jon and I are on a quest to find... our favorite/the best KBBQ in Atlanta and OTP Atlanta!! Our criteria is kind of too specific to apply to general audiences though. Our favorite Korean bbq item is: BEEF BRISKET! We probably could potentially go to an AYCE and just get brisket brisket brisket. We haven't done it yet, but we could... so we wanted to try 770 and get All You Can Eat because it was not the website. We would have gotten a variety of a couple different meats, but once we got there we found out on September 1 their all you can eat option was no longer there :(. So we ended up getting Beef Brisket and Chicken Bulgogi. Both were amazing! And the server was amazing. And we enjoyed all their banchans with my particular favorite being their hot kimchi. However, just a little letdown that we came for the All You Can Eat and it wasn't updated on their website that they didn't have it anymore. read more

The folks behind 678 in Duluth, one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in metro Atlanta, opened up a sister restaurant, 770, in Suwanee last month (May 2016). For us in-town folks, this place is far, but it's good. It's just as good as 678, though some of the servers claim 770 is better. Like 678, 770 uses charcoal-fired grills at every table. Charcoal + high quality meats = excellent Korean BBQ. We had a very enjoyable dinner here, but there were some issues (mainly service) which I chalk up to the restaurant being new. If they get everything down pat like 678 has, then 770 would get 5 stars in my book. Based on our experience, they're sitting at a solid 4. The restaurant is located in a corner strip mall just off I-85 exit 111 (Suwanee) on the same side of the highway as Umaido and Super H Mart. 770's dining room is newer, cleaner, and more spacious than 678's dining room. They have a combination of open tables and large booths, all great for groups. There's ample seating for waiting customers and they even have a playroom with a TV and toys for kids. Business hours are 11am to 11pm, daily. We visited late on a Saturday night and, like 678, there was a wait. We were handed one of those light-up pagers to let us know when our table was ready (which only took about 15-20 minutes). Like most Korean BBQ restaurants, you will leave this place smelling like cooked meat. Despite being new, the ventilation was not great during our visit. It was warm and smokey, just like 678. I was sweating. If you want to eat Korean BBQ in a cooler, more well ventilated environment, go to Breakers in Duluth. However, I do think the warm and smokey environment here is worth it. The food is good. There are 11 beef options ($21.99-27.99 each), 8 pork options ($15.99-24.99 each), and 2 chicken options ($19.99 each). They also have 2 unlimited options and 4 combos. Unfortunately, the unlimited options are pork only. The unlimited options are: * 770 Unlimited ($29.99) - pork belly, spicy pork belly, pork skin, pork neck, seasoned short ribs * ??? Unlimited ($34.99) - same items as above + seared pork belly (and yes, they label this option with question marks) The combos are: * Combo A ($89.99) - pork * Combo B ($109.99) - beef * Combo C ($129.99) - beef and shrimp * Combo S ($129.99) - beef, pork, and chicken Our group of 4 ordered Combo B. Combo B comes with 6 beef items: beef brisket, rib eye steak, prime rib, seasoned rib fingers, seasoned galbi (short ribs), and hand-rubbed seasoned steak. Everything was mouthwateringly delicious! I didn't have a single favorite meat because I thought they were all terrific. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. The brisket was fatty, but that was fine. The fat is what makes it taste good. The galbi was served raw on the bone and our server cut the pieces off the bone using scissors before cooking them. Like 678, the outside edges of 770's charcoal grills are filled with kimchi, spicy pickled bean sprouts, corn cheese, and egg. These are cooked simultaneously with the BBQ. Condiments included fermented soybean paste, salt & pepper, and chopped jalapenos and daikon radish in a vinegar sauce. Normally, the salt & pepper come with sesame oil, but ours didn't come with any. I had to ask for the oil. I love eating Korean BBQ with the oil and salt/pepper mix even though I know it's not good for me. Banchan (side dishes) included slices of white daikon, some sort of chilled daikon soup (with a light, vinegary broth), sausage stew, spicy tofu, salad, scallions with purple radish, spicy pickled radish, and spicy radish noodles. It's a lot of food. For 4 people, I thought Combo B was sufficient. I probably could've eaten one more plate of meat, but it's better that I didn't. I liked our servers, Eric, David, and Jae. Jae remembered me from 678. He's the man. Eric was our primary server. He and his trainee David did a nice job cooking our food. Eric used to work at The Stone Grill and was fun to talk to. David accidentally spilled ice all over one of my friends. It was funny. Glad it wasn't food or drink! That would've sucked. We had to wait a long time for the charcoal to come out. I don't know what the hold-up was. We sat for a good 10+ minutes with our banchan and platter of raw beef while we waited for the flames. It was a big tease. We were happy once the meats started cooking. To make it up to us, the staff gave us free drinks. Note: 770 also has lunch specials from 11am to 3pm. These are non-BBQ Korean dishes like bibimbap (mixed rice), soups and stews, and noodles. Most of these are $10.99 or less. Very clean, cute inside. This is different from the other kbbq places I've been to bc they use wood coals (?) vs gas fire so the meat gets smoked/grilled! It adds a Smokey taste to the meat which was delish. They also cook the meat for you. I am used to having to cook it ourselves. Anyway our server was extremely attentive and refilled our waters and banchan n meat ordered right away. We did the AYCE at 34.99/each and it didn't disappoint. This used to be my go-to korean bbq place in the Duluth/Suwanee area, but I can say that the quality has gone down and even some of the meat tasted different and old. My party and I got there around 7:45-8 pm but halfway through eating the staff was already cleaning up and the smell of bleach affected the taste of the food. The workers were also disrespectful of my party (also we were only the one of two parties there) as they were purposely making loud noises and even saying not so kind things. 770 Korean BBQ is my favorite place to get Korean BBQ. I have been going to 770 for the past three years and is always my go to. The quality of their meat has a great balance between soft and chewy. My personal favorite is their marinated beef short ribs, which is also called the marinated galbi. It is so delicious! I enjoy the variety of their side dishes, especially their Korean Soybean paste stew. Pro tip: order their Mul Naengmyeon when you're finished. It is a cold noodle dish, which washes down all of the food you ate and is extremely refreshing! Sometimes I go to 770 just to order that. It's absolutely delicious! Their customer service is superb. We have a personal server who cooks the meat as well as serve the table. The servers are very patient, hard-working, and very diligent. I have met the manager and a few of their workers personally. A young man named Louis, actually was my server multiple times. At my most recent visit, I left something very valuable to me. After half-an-hour I left, I returned and Louis and the managers went extremely above and beyond to make I was able to find my item. They have very personalized and above-and-beyond customer service. I came here long time ago and from what I remember it was just okay. Today, I came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Their $5.99 lunch special only has about 5 choices. The one I got was wooguji galbi tang (basically galbi soup with cabbage and miso). Very good and lot of food for $5.99. They give you some soy sauce and wasabi on the side to dip the meat. They also have meat if you want to order (the dinner menu) but significantly expensive for lunch in my opinion. (Starting at $20 minimum plus you have to order two servings at the least) They also have cheap alcohol. Beer as $2.99 (and soju was very cheap too. Best part was service has greatly improved. They had a lot of workers greeting people as soon as they walked in and also thanking them as they left. I think manager or owner has created a much friendlier environment for customers. 770 is super close to where I live but I've been hesitant to try it out because I heard it's by the same owner as 678 and I think 678 is meh. I wanted kbbq so my husband decided to try 770 just for the heck of it and because he didn't feel like driving out to Duluth for our usual kbbq spots. It wasn't busy when we got there so we were seated quickly. The layout is similar to 678 except there are less tvs and there is a playroom for kids, which is not noise proof. The air vents were loud, though, and that's something that I didn't like. The meat was good, same as 678, and service was good as well. If you like terrible service and mediocre Korean BBQ, I highly recommend this place. Food: Got the combo B, which comes with an assortment of different types of beef, half marinated half plain. The quality of the beef was good. The marinated beef was way too sweet and too fatty. If I could do it all again, I would solely stick to the plain cuts of meat. Ask for a little sesame oil to mix with the salt they provide, and you have yourself a wonderful dipper for the plain beef. This combo comes with some noodles at the end. I attempted to go to this restaurant with a Hispanic friend of mine for lunch. As soon as we walked in we were met with awkward stares from the staff. As we waited to be greeted, 2 Asian women walked in behind us and were immediately greeted and seated. The older lady up front finally looked at us and pointed at a table for us to take a seat. A younger female then asked us why we were trying to sit and we told her that's what we were just instructed to do. She then told us we would need to wait until she got the table ready. This new Suwanee Korean BBQ joint just opened last week without much announcement other than a 'now open' sign on the door. Despite the lack of advertisement, it was surprisingly packed on the first Saturday night it was open. This restaurant has been opened by the same owners of 678 in Duluth (on Satellite) which has been extremely popular and busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. This Korean BBQ restaurant has the same exact menu as 678, same prices, and same offerings of sides, which is the say, the food is phenomenal. Bottom line, if you love 678, you'll love this place. This location is in the corner of a large shopping center, and most of the writing on the awning is in Korean. The 770 part of the name is stylized on the awning, so it's a bit hard to spot at first (look for the black and red sign). Parking is plentiful in the lot, so no worries there. This location is quite a bit farther north on 85 than 678, but it does boast a few advantages. First, it's right off the highway and very easy to get to. Second, it's brand spanking new and not as busy as 678 (think shorter wait times to delicious Noms). Third, they take reservations (huzzah!!). My only complaint is that service was quite slow. Probably best KBBQ ever! Out of all the ones here in gwinnett county, this place is the best. Service was good but the food speaks for itself! Tender, juicy, seasoned meat... Words can't describe how delicious the meat was. Seasoned was light, not heavy in sauce.. I think the quality of the meat and also being cooked with wood chips brings out the crispy and smoky flavors! Even ALL the side dishes were phenomenally delicious.
