    Side beef bulgogi on combo
    Patrick P.

I have been to the one in Duluth, and it's good. But this new location is spectacular. Plenty of parking, don't be fooled when the GPS tells you to turn left, go to the light if you're coming from the west. Otherwise you'll end up in the gas station. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First of all, this place is HUGE compared to the other locations. Super clean, new furniture, it's just pleasant to be there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really generous with the banchan. I love the banchan there, it's 4 different kinds but all of them complement the food you eat. I was on a tear last night. Ordered the teokbokki as an appetizer. Then went with the soondubu ramen combination with beef bulgogi. First of all, the ramen is definitely a big portion, combined with the tofu it's a lot. Medium spicy is good enough unless you like sounding like you're a recovering drug addict. My goodness. I took the ramen noodles out so I could make sure I had broth left. Ate very slowly because the picked radishes were so good and the kimchi cucumbers were also killer. The teokbokki was tasty, but nothing special. Price is good, sharing is fine. But in the future I love the combo idea because you get a small skillet of beef, onions, and peppers. Sweet and savory, paired with the ramen soondubu it's a LOT. We took the rice cakes home. I can't speak any higher about the cleanliness and service here. They all pitch in, and I wonder if they knew I was going to write something because I took so many pics. Either way I believe this is the best place for tofu stew in the OTP area. Support small businesses! I'll be back!

Came here while visiting from out of town on a recommendation from my cousin who orders takeout from here all the time. It didn't disappoint! The soondubu was hot, the right taste and the rice had that crispy bottom you expect. The scallion pancake was crispy and delicious. The LA Galbi was marinated well and tender. Every waiter made an effort to check on us and take care of anything we needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's spacious inside and good for small or large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can understand why my cousin comes here so often.

I've been here multiple times and am pleased to report I've left content and full every time! The food is consistently hearty and delicious. Firstly, they offer a variety of banchans and will refill them, which I really appreciate because their variety brings more life to whatever entree you order! I've gotten the beef bibimbap in the hot stone bowl, and the crunch rice left at the bottom is amazing to chew after soaking up the juices from the veggies and sauce. I've gotten their tripe noodles, which are so hearty on a cold day, the tofu and bouncy noodle soup warming your stomach then your body. The beef ribs too, though a more simple dish, are seasoned perfectly to enjoy the sweet-umami of the ribs with a hot stone bowl of rice and onions on the side. The service is exceptional; I've always feel welcomed and honestly felt like I was eating with a big family with the way the seating was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So Gong Dong offers seating for both small and large groups with private rooms in a different hall of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend taking your family or friends here to hangout and experience the hospitality and amazing Korean food.

I've heard a lot about this "SGD" (I hate the full name "So Gong Dong" lol) chain of restaurants that specialize in Tofu, and have been itching to try it... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, I finally checked out this fairly new one in Suwanee, and it had a very open, spacious, and stylish Asian decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered their combo, Kimchi Soondubu and Beef Short Rib...and surprisingly, all the foods came out piping hot, super-quickly. As anticipated, all the foods were amazing. Actually, I expected the Kimchi-Tofu soup to be stellar (it's their specialty)...but I was shocked how good their Short Rib was! I loved how super-thin they were...so easy to eat. Possibly the best I've had?!? Service was friendly and attentive...almost TOO attentive?? Overall, I really enjoyed lunch here...and hope to return in the future.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really nice restaurant, very open inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a cold day and they would not seat us near the front door, I really appreciated that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the tofu soup with the grilled mackerel combo beef bulgogi, and all the Bonchon's. We'll be back. It's a really great place, I highly suggest

I got the hot stone bibimbap. I loved the crispy rice and fresh veggies! My coworkers all got soup and crispy rice on the side. The service was good, we were well attended to and our drinks kept full. It's a nice place to go for lunch as well, the service is quick and food gets to the table pretty quickly as well. Lots of choices for soup flavors and proteins. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brightly lit and a little noisy, but suitable for a work meeting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The ambience is beautiful! I love the open space and simplicity. The service is super quick! Love their enthusiasm. The food is delicious. I ate all my food because it was sooo good! I got the hot stone. I love the rice at the bottom and their side dishes especially that cucumber is amazing! My mom got the tofu vegetable soup! Yum! Definitely coming back!

The shrimp were delicious and prepared just like I'm used to. This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

It completely fits with the nostalgia we were feeling and hanging out with each other again. Service was efficient, and we were easily able to converse with each other. The food is pretty heavy what with it being fried and mostly carbs, but the kimchi and pickled radish help cut the greasiness of it. One of the standout things about this place is that they have DonPas. When we first heard of it, we though it would be fun to get. The donkatsu used for it is thin and fried well. The pork wasn't dry at all, and it was able to hold the pasta and its sauce while remaining crunchy though you definitely should eat it before the sauce truly sets in and changes the texture. For the pasta portion, we went with carbonara pasta, and it was good! Creamy and paired pretty well with donkatsu, which normally has a different type of sauce with it. We also got the UFO fried rice to share. It was filling, and I highly recommend it with egg, cheese, and corn over sauce. That being said, not a fan of the lot to get here. It's got a bit of an decline/incline, not the worst I've experienced, but still something that I took note of. At least my car didn't hit the ground with a scratch like another place I've been to.
