Stopped for dinner one night and almost turned around and left because it was so incredibly loud and crowded. Most people seemed to be there just for the bar. But since we heard the food was good, we stayed. Even though it was hard to have a conversation, the food was awesome. I had a grilled chicken Cesar wrap. The dressing is made in-house and was so good. My husband had a burger and I can see why they won an award for their burgers. The meat is ground fresh in-house and is very fresh. It was big, juicy, and really tasty. Portions were large. The fries are hand cut and awesome. I would love to eat there again but may have to go at lunch time and hope it's not quite so loud. read more

Had a really great cheeseburger here. It was thick and perfectly cooked, really juicy, and just what a burger should be. The fries were good too, more on the thin-cut side which I love because they are more on the crunchy side as a result. I'm sad I am only in the area on rare occasions to visit a friend, because otherwise this would be one of my top burger places to visit regularly. Nice open concept, but a bit loud because of it. One of the best burgers I have ever had... Possibly the best. And fresh-cut fries are always my favorite. Top it off with an excellent beer selection. For food and drink, 5 stars all the way. Always a go to when I'm in Holyoke. Mother in law lives about 10 minutes away and this is definitely the best bar/restaurant around. Pre covid this place was always packed, always had great local live music. We still come to dine during covid just with less people. Great beer selection. Usually rotating specials for food. I haven't had a meal here I haven't liked. Wings and sandwiches are great. Fiancé also likes the fish and chips and Buffalo chicken salad. I'd recommend going if you haven't tried it. read more

I was pretty excited to find a place that was offering a "kegs and eggs" type of combo on a regular basis. It's like dive-brunch in my book, which is casual and often great. The breakfast here is really not good. Not one person in our party was fond of their meal; our eggs were runny (even when asked to be done dry), my omelet had virtually no meat in it and was crusty (?), and the coffee was so burnt that even with cream was a dark gray color. Our server was pleasant. She even kept her composure when the entire table next to us said they couldn't eat their food and would not tip if they were forced to pay. That and the fact that the oily home fries were seasoned nicely are the two positive things I have to say. Bummer. read more

Went here with two other people last week after hearing it how "great" and "out-of-this-world" of this world this place supposedly was on the radio, through other people, and on the internet but, all three of us agreed that it was a real disappointment upon actually trying it. The waitress was nice enough but, she didn't write down any of our orders and apparently just went off of memory which may have played a role in the following events. We ordered some regular BBQ wings and the "spicy garlic" wings. Instead of the spicy garlic, we just received buffalo wings. They and the BBQ wings were both decent but, not much different from any other wing joint you would find in this area. They were comprable to the wings at The Hangar in Amherst. We all ordered cheeseburgers for a main meal and they were all justm mediocre. They weren't terrible, but they certainly weren't great. I honestly could have made a better cheeseburger at home. I ordered mine medium rare but it came out well done instead with only a very thin strip of cheese on it. But, the worst part about our meals, that everyone agreed on, was definitely the french fries. They were fried way too long and were, as another reviewer pointed out, totally crunchy with no softness inside. Completely inedible. As other reviewers noted, the positive reviews here are almost certainly written by friends and family of the proprietors. During my visit, a party entered the restaurant and sat down. The man told his children to say "hi" to their aunt who was one of the staff / owners. It wouldn't be surprising if the owners' friends and family are what is keeping the place afloat, as the place is pretty uninviting unless you're friends with the staff or owners. Despite being relatively new, this place really would be a great contender for an episode of Bar Rescue. I suspect in the coming years, they may actually have to eventually resort to that since places that are run like this tend to run into trouble after a certain period of time. In short, we will not be returning. The food is, in general, mediocre and is not at all "great" nor "unbelievable" as advertised. You'd be better off making your own meal at home or just going to another local restaurant. read more

My parents had wanted to bring me out to an early lunch type of thing. It was close to the place that we were just at. The atmosphere is usually loud but because it was earlier in the day it wasn't too loud. All though there still were a lot of people there. When any of our drinks was close to being empty the waitress had brought over a refill. They are also really nice. You can recommend a game to put on one of the TV's there, most of the time they will put it on. Since you can sit right as you walk in there is no wait time, the waitress were there to take your order right away. But the food did take a long time to come out, to the point that my dad wanted to pay for the appetizers and leave. Though when the food did arrive it was worth the wait. *I had the grilled cheese, it had included a three cheese blend, and applewood smoked bacon. The sandwich was warm and the cheese melted in my mouth, the bacon was crispy. It had come with fries, skinny and soft on the inside crunchy on the outside so you can expect what they looked like crunchy golden brown. There was just enough salt on them to make it taste salty but not too much .It was around $10. The only other complaint that I have besides the wait time is that my dad had asked for no onions on his steak and cheese grinder, there was onions on half of the sandwich but he did say that the other half was amazing . This place is my favorite. It's like Cheers where everyone knows ur name. The staff and cooks are phenomenal and actually have become friends with a few. My bf and I come in with or without our children at least a few times a week. We feel like it's home and it's down the street from our house. Here we come in relax have a drink or a meal and always get the same wonderful service. Our kids enjoy coming here they like the food and the music box and shooting deer game. I don't feel weird to bring my kids here they are welcome even tho sometimes they can be loud. Everyone always seems to be having a great time when we are there and never hear anyone complain about the food or anything. I would highly recommend it and I do to many people. read more

Ordered the whole belly clams today. I was told 15 minutes. I arrived at the exact time. The clams were cold and rubbery, the fries were disgustingly greasy and cold. I grew up on the Cape and enjoy whole belly clams, these were not very good, chewy and greasy. Serving size moderate at best. I was not happy to pay over $25. for a box filled more then half with fries. I recommend Captain Jack's in Easthampton, which is so much better. read more

We were visiting family in the area, and apparently they and friends like to meet up here (at least) after Saturday kids soccer games at a local field. At lunch time, the place was packed. I think about half the crowd was the soccer parents and their kids. It was a real crush for the servers, but they managed to keep orders moving. So yes, it was a bit noisy, but at least they didn't have the volume for the TVs turned on. My wife and I each had the fish & chips, and I had a cup of chili too. The fish was excellent, a good size hunk of firm, fresh, clean haddock that had a good taste. The chili was not my personal favorite (everyone has an opinion on what chili should be), but it did taste home made with good ingredients, firm beans, nice flavor. I would go again. read more

I got a chicken BLT and it was superb. The French fries were amazing, and the price was definitely affordable. Another person in our party got The House Salad and she said that the croutons and dressing made the salad perfect. The atmosphere of the place was chill. 7B's has become my "every other Monday" stop as that's when I am in Westfield for work. Everything I've had had been great, especially the burgers. Today I had a meatball quesadilla which was phenomenal. Whatever they put on the top for sauce was amazing. What really stuck out to me though is the fact that my order was under my name. I'm pretty quiet, eat by myself at the bar, and have only been here maybe 7-8 times. Most of those times Jane has been behind the bar. I felt like a burger so I stopped in here. I've driven by it 100 times but have never gone in. It's a little place with a big bar, which I enjoyed. Their beer selection is decent, and they have their own signature lager which is pretty good. The burger was phenomenal; exactly what I was looking for. The grill cook nailed medium rare which is no small feat. And it was huge. The fries needed help though. They were apparently hand cut but to thin and overcooked and over seasoned. I'm not sure why people like this place, I've been twice and it sucked both times! It is an old fashioned dive bar, it's small and loud. The tables were disgustingly sticky and we had to put napkins down to keep our skin and shirt sleeves from sticking to the tables. Simple solution, table cloths! First time I ordered steak tips and they weren't edible. My friends said it's not the type of place to order steak tips, it's more a burger joint, I found that odd! I swore I'd never go back as i didn't like one thing about the place but a friend was visiting and one thing led to another and i found myself there again, still gross sticky tables with no table cloths. This time I ordered a burgers and again, inedible. I left the mystery meat and ate the bread. Two of our meals didn't come out until the other 4 people were half thru with their meals. My mystery meat was over cooked with a strange flavor. Five of my six friends did not eat their food, the only happy friend ordered wings, I guess it's a wings joint, not steak tips, burgers, chicken or salmon, even the Pepsi had a weird taste! The server didn't even question why there was alot of food on everyone's plates. I couldn't get out fast enough! I think 7 b's is a local bar where people go to have a beer or two and nothing more. My son attends Westfield State University and we are always looking for good places to take him to eat. Found this restaurant on yelp. The atmosphere was classic sports bar, friendly and clean. We did have a fly issue but it was hot in September and we were by the door. We had to try the Wings as an appetizer which appears to be a house specialty. They were cooked well, moist not dry and not undercooked. Undercooked chicken is the worst. I liked the BBQ sauce and would like to try a dry rub or Buffalo. They had lots of choices. My husband and I got burgers that obviously we're made on the premises and were moist and delicious. The juices ran out of the burger. I was very disappointed with the French Fries which also seemed to be a house specialty. They were over cooked to burnt and very greasy and no flavor. Though, looking around to other tables the fries looked better so I will try them again hoping we just got a bad batch. My son ordered fish and chips which I thought looked greasy but he said was good. The bill came with homemade cookies and the ladies room had free toiletries and mints which I thought was a nice touch. I will give this place another try. read more
