Stopped here on a whim after pulling off the highway to get gas and I definitly wish I lived closer. This place has great beer options, all of which are delicious, and good food options! I got the bacon jam burger and it was good perfectly and the taste was equally as good. The fries were amazing - I didn't even need ketchup. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The food came out quicker than I thought it would too. Depending on the weather they have a patio that's open. The patio is very nice and has pretty lights when it's dark. First time to the area visiting a customer on business. We went here for lunch and was recommended by locals. This place definitely did not disappoint. They had various specials including a burger of the week along with daily specials. Today's special was barbecue chicken quesadilla. I had to try it and it was phenomenal. I don't normally eat french fries but they were also recommended and were fresh cut, so had to try a few of those as well. They were probably some of the best french fries I ever had. All together our table ordered two of the quesadilla specials and a chicken wrap which also looked very good. Service was excellent, our drinks for filled regularly, never had to ask for anything. When it was time for the payment, it was taken up immediately and brought right back with no waiting. They were on top of their game. The Decour is sports bar themed with some TVs, bar area, and sports team flags hanging from the ceiling. Chalkboard writing for their specials on the wall. The talk is they are well-known for their burgers and have a special blend of meats. If I get the opportunity to come back this week I will definitely be giving it a try. read more

Sit in to drink and eat, or have a drink while waiting for takeout. This seems to be the official mantra of 7B's. When you walk in, there is always a busy atmosphere of locals at the bar who are there to enjoy each other's company and have a drink and eat, and on the periphery of the bar, at tables and high tops (love high tops) other people sit and enjoy food together as couples, families or, solo people sitting back and having a slow drink while waiting for their takeout. Because of this unusual arrangement, if you notice that tables on the sides are full, just give it a little bit of time as some people are likely waiting for takeout. Also, the staff is very efficient and you'll notice that food and drink orders are quickly taken and delivered. I have always enjoyed the food that I have ordered here, which is pizza and pub-type sandwiches and burgers, and I find 7B's to be the perfect place to go when I just don't feel like making dinner, but don't need a fancy sit down atmosphere or chain restaurant food. read more

Would not recommend, food used to be good but the last couple times ordering received a steak and cheese that was bread and cheese as well as a portion of fries that contained 6 fries. 7B's is a family owned and operated bar & grill sitting alongside Southampton Road / Rte. 202 at the intersection of Rte 10, just north of Westfield, Massachusetts. The 7B's are the members of the Boisseau family who've been a large part of the Westfield community for many years. This super casual restaurant has a rustic, yet modern feel as you step inside. The floors and walls are all made of hard wood planks, but everything is super clean and very new. At the time of this review they've been open just over a year. There's a large U-shaped bar in the middle of the room, with tables and chairs scattered around on both sides of the dining area. They have a few electronic games as well as wipe-off boards with the daily specials. During the day the TVs are showing sports and live cable news, and there's also a jukebox pumping out the hits. I've been here a few times for lunch, and really enjoy the casual atmosphere and delicious food. The menu has a bunch of bar appetizers including nachos, wings, and fried mozzarella sticks. They also have homemade soups, chili and salads. They're known for their delicious half-pound burgers served with fries and a pickle slice. The burgers can be customized with cheese, bacon, chili, jalapeno, caramelized onions, and sautéed mushrooms. They also have hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, pulled pork, grilled cheese, and a classic Reuben. Each day they have a burger special and lunch special on the board along with the homemade soup of the day. Today the special was a very delicious French dip sandwich served with a cup of au jus and a pile of fresh-from-the-fryer French fries which were seasoned with Old Bay. The sliced brisket was piled high between the two slices of bun, and the au jus was a bit salty and heavy on the beef flavor. I'm sure this is a popular spot for people who want to stop for a few drinks on their way home from work, and I see that 7B's offers "Mug Club Mondays" , free jukebox plays on Fridays, and live entertainment on Saturdays. 7B's is a great restaurant and bar located on the outskirts of Westfield in the direction of Southampton and Holyoke. It has a fun, country-style atmosphere and seems to always have a great crowd. The waitstaff is very friendly, and the menu options are extensive for a place of its size. There are a good amount of beers on tap for those who enjoy a variety. They were fortunate to land in the top 4 spot for the 2014 MassLive Best of Burgers challenge. The fish and chips were delightful, with some of the best and freshest fish (haddock) around. They also have some gourmet salads with prime ingredients. An excellent place to check out of you are looking for some casual and deliciously fresh food! They also have a variety of entertainment offered at night, including karaoke and live music acts. One favorite act who frequents here is the delightful AJ Jansen, an up and coming country artist from Connecticut. First time trying this place, got a burger and fries and wife got a steak sandwich. Fries were kind of weird, they were raw on the inside so that was disappointing. The sandwich and burger were descent but the burger is FAT, like almost difficult to eat, which I don't mind but my wife wouldn't have liked it. We'll try them again. read more

Place used to be a great local pub, used to be one of my favorite places to go. Last 3 times my wife and I have gone for lunch on a Sunday it has been crazy, bartenders over serving young loud punks at the bar, who can barely stand up,.. makes it next to impossible to have a conversation,.. one of these drunk punks thought I was some else and follows us out of the bar yelling at us as we left.. Great bar food but sadly i feel it's becoming unsafe and just a matter of time before something bad happens. I would never take children here and at one time it was I nice family place.. When you've waited 35 minutes to get any indication of when you're order is coming and the server answers you with "you'll get it when I get it", you know it's time to walk out! No excuse for that kind of attitude. Regardless of staffing issues or how busy you may be, offer your customers a little bit of courtesy and maybe a cracker while they wait it out and it would have been a different outcome. read more

First time stopping in here, even though I have been to the area many times. Place is on the smaller side by we still found a seat in the bar style restaurant. I ordered the chicken nachos and the portion was massive. Tasted excellent and the serve kept the drinks coming. This is a weird one for me. The food here is phenomenal, as is the service. However.... The first time we came here with a group of 4, 2 of us were hit with food poisoning. We're talking like, explosive diarrhea and painful stomach cramps. I hadn't even gotten up from my table yet when I had to go use their bathroom for 20 minutes. I wrote it off as a 'bad day'. Last night, though- I took another group to the restaurant. I joked before we left that the last time a couple of us got nasty poisoning from the place- but that it was likely not to happen again. My mistake. Eating at 7B's is like playing Russian roulette with food. Only one of us got food poisoning- but...we all had the same burgers. One of our group spent all night being up with diarrhea and stomach cramps. I checked in with everyone this morning and they were all fine. I think there is a problem with food handling at 7b's. This is possibly something the board of health wants to look in on. We eat pretty shady food all over the world but don't ever get sick like this on such a random scale- either everyone gets sick or no one does. Is someone putting something in the food? Is one of the cooks not wearing gloves and touching raw meat or something? Really, 7B's...what's going on? Twice in one week. Visiting from home I came for lunch. I only had a salad but my friends partook in a heavenly feast. Friend one had mac n cheese in a cast iron pan with a fried chicken breast on top. NEARLY finished the creamy mountain of tasty goodness. Other friend had a jalapeno burger with fries that looked and tasted amazing. I return for Friday after work dinner fish and chips with a very good helping of haddock amd those tasty fries. Been going here for years. It's a local joint that's always bursting with a crowd. We love their patio. It's hard to find a lot of places that have patios without having to travel far. Husband is a fan of the fish and chips and the burger salad (it has a real name I just forget lol). I like the wings and steak/cheese grinder. If you're looking for a quick takeout joint on a Friday make sure to call wayyyy ahead. It gets busy and we've waited an hour for pickup before. Went here to meet some friends, have dinner and drinks. The place is on the smaller size and was packed for a Wednesday night. Food was great - Ordered a giant pretzel and it came with the most amazing cheese sauce! It was a very creamy, thin sauce but so tasty!! Sweet chili and salt and pepper wings - sweet chili was awesome!! My boyfriend had the special; corned beef burger and loved every bite of it. I had a Blackberry Shandy (highly recommend for a light beer) and my boyfriend had a Be Hoppy, of course. Waiter sort of disappeared when we were waiting for our checks, granted it was very busy. Had a late lunch with the fiancée and his parents. I got the special burger, with Bailey's cream cheese and Jameson burger sauce, it was to die for. I also did the ranch seasoned fries, which appeared (and tasted like) hidden valleys ranch packet with extra dill. Fiancée got the bacon jam burger cooked "as rare as possible" and it came medium rare. Granted, most places don't cook "rare" because of health concerns. My fiancées father got the hot dog, his mother the fish fry (Friday special) which had a hair fried into it. They did recook the meal asap. Service was good, portions plentiful. I also had their 420 beer on tap which was delicious. Will always come back, I think the hair was an isolated incident, and it was addressed immediately. I've given this place a few chances. I live a mile away and thought, nice, a local bar. We lack any good food around here. Just places that have been there a while. Well, this will join those ranks. I had wings on my first visit. They were tasteless and slightly underdone. The fries were cooked a bit too long, I was given a choice of seasonings, which was not bad, but on overdone fries nothing tastes good. Had chicken tenders last night, also tasteless and bland. The mozzarella sticks were good, but they're hard to screw up. I heard the burgers were alright, they have a burger of the week with a clever name. Someone has been watching Bob's Burgers. Burger was meh. It's a burger. The atmosphere is odd. If you're not a regular or friends with staff and owners it's uninviting. Just realized I forgot to finish my review from last summer. Went again today, it appears you can screw up mozz sticks. Every time I go to 7B's I wonder why I went to 7B's. Place is junk. Most of these reviews must be by friends and acquaintances. read more
