This dentist office is AMAZING - I've been taking my daughter here for the last two years and finally made an appt of my own this past week. Hands down the best dentist office I've found. The receptionists on both sides (the adults and the pediatric side) are super friendly, personable, and provide outstanding customer service (Perla is awesome!). The assistants and hygienists (Ilse and Stephanie) are super sweet, friendly, personable, gentle, and very patient. Dr. Ellis, Dr. Sharma and Dr. Castre are phenomenal. I tried to talk about a bill I received and they would not give me billing or accounting phone number. You never see the same Dr twice. I totally believe they try to get me to dental work I don't need. The Dr refused to fill my cavity unless I also got a crown on my other tooth too. I made an appointment today due to an unfortunate event with my tooth. Now i had been here before and the front office staff is absolutely amazing and that is what i remember that made me want to go back. I got to the office today and the front office staff again was utterly amazing and it was a smooth process getting checked in. The next step was Xrays and the girl who did them was so very sweet. She asked what i was coming in for and she then stated they had me set up for a full exam but thought i would be more comfortable with a partial and i accepted. Once back in the room she went to tell the hygenist that i was ready. She came back after not being gone very long to tell me the Dr and the hygenist adv they wanted me to do a full exam because it had been a while since i had been there. I stated i didn't want to do that this time because i wasn't there for a full exam and only needed to focus on one area. She goes back to explain my situation only to come back again with their resoponse being "you need to have the full exam in order to continue with today and that would be some more xrays". I decided because that girl was so nice id do the xrays and then speak to the Dr when they came in the room because i clearly wasn't being heard which i didn't appreciate. Once back in the room the hygenist, Natale Briggs, comes in to introduce herself and she was very nice at first and stated "ill be doing the scaling for the dr" to which i responded "you're going to poke me aren't you?" she replies "I am" in a friendly manner. So i tell her that is not what im here for and id like to focus just on my tooth today and then next time id like to do the full scaling to get set up for my surgery, which i was going to do after the appt was done. She then decides to respond in a manner that no patient should ever experience and goes "Well we need to get this done so that the Dr has a better picture of the whole situation" I am a little dumb founded and again tell her that is not what im here for nor am i comfortable doing that and if they needed recent records they could have asked because i recently had it done elsewhere but it costs too much there so i came back here. She again decides to be super rude and goes "Well either i can do this or the doctor can, we need our own picture to see what is going throughout in order to get this done for you". I turned my head in disbelief and told her "you are very rude, do you know that?" she then had the audacity to put her hand on her chest and gasp like she wasn't in the room just then. She proceeds to say "I didn't mean to be" and i said well you were, and ill be leaving since no one is listening to me. She then threw something on the floor and said "im going to go get the Dr" like this was supposed to stop me from leaving. I then said before she was fully out of the room "i don't care who you go get, im leaving". This experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth, that i will never go back and it has everything to do with that one hygenist. Please be sure to speak to her about her lowly behavior. The check in was terrible. The front desk actually told me that I had to give them my new insurance card 48 hours ago as she pointed to a sign that said insurance blah blah blah. Everyone knows that insurance verification takes minutes and is a front office duty. She said we are going to put this through to your old insurance. Why the heck would she say or do that if I just told her I have a new plan and gave you a new card. Then I go back to the exam room and up on the computer monitor I see the entire day schedule listed by provider- all the patient health information- names, ages and procedures. This is a HIPAA violation. If you are a patient here, call them and ask them to send you a copy of the mandatory report they filed with CMS. Also go to another dental group to protect yourself. Cleaning in healthcare has a set of standards and expectations. Cleanliness protects parents from infections and contaminants. Megan was instrumental in providing direction for setting up a payment plan. Then off to Natale their very skilled hygienist who made my mouth feel brand new. This office is clearly sales driven and have quotas to meet. My husband went there with a horrible toothache (next to his wisdom tooth). They refused to pull it but rather gave him a 3 page estimate of treatment that totals $16,000!! I'm mad we went there and used up some of our benefit for an absolute waste. Stay away!!!! $$$$$ is all they want, they will ruin your good teeth to keep you coming in. Spent over $8000 (yes, that's THOUSAND) and the issue still is not fixed. I came in and they quoted me another $1500 to fixed what they messed up. Well I went to another dentist office and it's $800 to repair their damage. So LOST another client. Also now looking at the reviews saying that they recommend deep cleanings that are not really needed. Well I was one of those people that fell for that lie, come to think of it. read more

I have no problem with the dentists here and the dental hygienist does a fantastic job of teeth cleaning. My concern is that the office personnel will not file charges with our insurance. This happened every time I went in for cleaning an x-rays. Recently, my wife incurred charges of over $2,600. She paid on the spot with a credit card at the front office insistence. To date, 7th and Bell Dental has not filed with our insurance company. Bottom line: I have stopped using 7th and Bell Dental and have found another provider, not because of quality of care issues, but because of uncaring, or just plain lazy, office staff. read more

Honestly had an amazing experience! So glad I came here. They made me feel heard and I really appreciate that. Dr Diamond was amazing. He was so nice, so respectful! He even fixed a tooth of mine that I didn't even ask him to fix! I have really bad grinding and would get soreness from a certain side of my mouth and he told me he was gonna go ahead and fix my crown so I wouldn't get sore and I haven't been! I did not have issues with the care that I received and everyone was very friendly when I went to them, but their office/billing staff are absolutely ridiculous. Too make a very long story short, I had an implant completed there in March and when I was given the totals (after insurance) my final billing was around $1300. I paid half and set up for their payment plan to pay the rest in 4 months. The first months payment came out around the same time that I received my explanation of benefits. When reviewing that, my insurance company actually paid more then originally thought and with that month's payment I should have only owed about $3 more. I called the office to explain and was told that they would take care of it. A month goes by and I haven't heard anything, but expected everything would be dealt with as advised so didn't continue to follow up. Then low and behold another full payment is charged. I call again and am told they will look into it and call me back. Wait a week, no call back. Call again, again wait no call back. It ends up taking 4 calls and threatening to report fraud on my credit card for the refund to be sent to me. Get the refund, think all is good and I moved so don't have to deal with them anymore...until last month when I get a bill for the amount refunded plus some!!! Make a call, get told will get a call back, wait two weeks, no call back. Get another bill telling me I'm 90 days behind in paying. Call today get told they have a new office manager which will call me today. Drama to continue. I will be calling every hour until I actually get to speak with this office manager. They really shouldn't mess with someone who knows how to read an explanation of benefits. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I came to this office back in March of 2020 to get my exams and routine cleaning done. The dentist and dental hygienist both told me I had periodontal disease and that I needed a special deep cleaning that cost over $500 WITH insurance covering a portion. I have never had a history of gum disease and I have good dental hygiene. Even though I thought it was odd, I felt pressured because they told me they would not be able to give me a regular cleaning because the infection would spread. I went ahead with the cleaning and they told me I would have to come back in 3 months for a maintenance cleaning which would've cost another $300. I noticed that there was no difference in my gums after that expensive cleaning, so I decided to not go back. I went to a new dentist office recently and they told me I DO NOT HAVE GUM DISEASE and they did the regular cleaning. Talk about being scammed! Fast forward to today my mom decided to stick with this dentist even though she knew my experience with them because they never gave her any trouble - she busted into the house today enraged because they tried to tell her she also now has periodontal disease and that she would need a GUM FLIP to treat it. My mom is extremely diligent about flossing and has never had a history of gum disease. My mom literally got up out of the office and left during her appointment because they also denied doing a regular cleaning on her. Skip coming to this place at all costs!!!!! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I was told I had periodontitis, and they wanted $500 out of pocket (AFTER Insurance) and couldn't do a cleaning until I got the periodontal treatment. It was very difficult to get an appointment with an orthodontist for my daughter who is in school ; their orthodontist comes in only a couple of days a month. I had to wait for at least 2 months for a consultation appointment. Their hours are very inflexible. Despite the appointment, there was a long waiting time on the day of the appointment. The cost provided by them for my teenager's braces was way over my co-pay amount (almost equal to that of an out-of-network provider). The reason they gave was that since my 13 year old kid has her permanent teeth, she will be considered as an adult, whereas the dental insurance plan clearly states that it is for kids 19 and under. Welp, you guys lost me after a year and a half...as soon as you rolled in a new dentist who proceeded to tell me I needed to have fillings removed and refilled and a bunch of other complicated EXPENSIVE stuff no other dentist has ever mentioned to me, ever. Went to another dentist, my current, and future dentist, and mysteriously she did not find a need for all of these very expensive, complicated procedures the new dentist I was exposed to at 7th Street and Bell found. I really had big expectations for this office, as it seems really nice and clean and the people seemed friendly. I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed and the oral surgeon was very pushy; trying to get me, the morning of my surgery, to agree to have all four of my wisdom teeth pulled rather than just the two I had agreed to and already paid for. He asked several times, even while I was in the chair right about to undergo the anesthesia. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would have expected the doctor to be nice, friendly, warm- he wasn't. It was very uncomfortable. This place seems like they just crank out surgeries, like a factory, and you're just another number. There's no doctor patient relationship value. It's just about getting done as many surgeries or seeing as many patients in a day as they can at this place. There wasn't even a ten day follow up after my oral surgery. Worst experience I ever Had at a Dentist office. They changed my appointment 3 times before I got in. They run a bait and switch operation . I receive a free cleaning from my insurance . I go there for my free cleaning and the dentist says I need a Crown first then they will clean my teeth.. So I get the crown for $1800. and book my cleaning . I go to the dentist for my free cleaning and they won't clean them unless I pay $200 for a deep cleaning that I don't want. So now cant get my teeth cleaned and shopping for a new dentist. read more

We have been going to 7th and bell dental group for about a year and a half now and will continue. Haley and Kaili in reception are very helpful and informative. Angela the hygienist very meticulous and informative. Dr. Iskandar completed a successful bone graft on my wife. Dr. Blethen completed a very tricky root canal that another Dr. at a different office could not complete.(saved the crown in the process) Dr.Wytko is great. This office is very unorganized. Trying to set up a payment arrangement, which had been done before, but just got the run around. Had a $50 credit from a deductible they had collected prior, which I dont have a deductible. Wanted to use this credit on services that were to be done and once again got the run around. Came in knowing I needed some dental work, but really needed a basic cleaning and a quote. I know deep cleanings aren't cheap but I had recently gotten an estimate for $350 before I moved and this dentist wants over $800. The "basic" one for $350 won't really do anything they explain and isn't even worth it. When I explained I couldn't afford the deep cleaning now and would really just like my basic, fully covered, cleaning they basically refused. I had to convince them to do it and then, even though I had been there for well over an hour and a half already, they left me waiting in the chair for another 45 minutes, I feel like they really just wanted me to leave since I wouldn't be giving them all of my money. I guess basic patients not spending thousands of dollars aren't worth their time. I wanted so badly to like this dentist as the office and staff seem very nice but I don't want to be conned. read more

Started going here in 2016. Loved Dr. Schaefer and Jeanette, however, they're no longer with the practice. Dr. Schaefer just disappeared and the dentist(I think his name is Ewell) that took over for him has no bedside manners. Pet peeve of mine is conversations going on while my teeth are being worked on. He and his assistant talked about their weekend the whole time. Neither were very personable. Turned me off so much that I switched dentists. read more
