Y'all really put bacon in me and my MUSLIM boyfriends fries. After we said no bacon. The cashier was super nice and understanding so I'm not mad at her. It's the people who made the food that's making me want to go back in the store and make a scene. The service was quick and the food was really good until we found the bacon. Like seriously??? I'm vegetarian and it's been 3 days since I went there and I'm still trying to get the pork taste out of my mouth/forget about it. I really was about to give this place 5 stars. First. The girl who waited on me was very kind and I gave a $3 tip because she was friendly and communicated well. My girlfriend and I love finding new places to eat but we will never come back here or recommend it to anyone. Pretty bad food. Would much much rather eat at Wawa or sheetz. Maybe they have better stuff for their regulars? Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff. Maybe we came on a bad day. The only way to know for yourself is to try it. Cool vibe inside. People are friendly. Seems clean (didn't check bathrooms). But heed my warning The fried chicken tenders seemed to be double battered and re cooked. I suspected this because I make my own chicken fingers and when I re cook them that's what they taste like. Plus the chicken was firm and stale in some places. They weren't even strips. Just two slabs of chicken slopped in hot sauce. 100% not fresh no opinions here. Next are the cheese fries. In your standard, round, medium sized take out container there was one layer of soggy fries, with more cheese than fries. Finally the custom sandwich. Ham and cheese with mayo and lettuce. I get it it's simple but damn. Literally two or three slices of ham and one single slice of cheese that you can tell was an individually wrapped piece of cheese like Kraft singles but most likely the generic brand. One slice of cheese for like a 6 inch sandwich. It was cut in half so they could fill the whole thing. The vibe seemed cool. Location is easy to get to. But my girlfriend and I were not one bit satisfied with spending some of our remaining fun money on an extremely mediocre experience. Two stars because the girl was friendly to customers read more

My fiance and I were passing through Frederick on our way back home to Virginia and found this place thanks to other Yelp reviews! We almost missed it though, since their shop sign is quite difficult to spot. Other than that, there are only good things to say about this sandwich shop. Eat here regularly. Always slammed at lunch time. My MO: order my takeout with a beer while i wait, because it can take a while. They are committed to their sandwich craft. Buffalo chicken longboard - quite nice. They bake their own bread and it's great. Not sure what that numbnutz was talking about when he thought the bread was meh. Don't discount the soups either. Fries are solid as well. Haven't tried the loaded fries. On my list. In general, the longboards are a big meal. Might consider splitting one with a bud. One downside: I think their Walrus mural sucks. As a Walrus connoisseur, it kills me to have to walk in and be greeted by that walrus mural. read more

Love this place! I try to grab a bite here whenever I'm in town. I've turned a handful of family and friends onto this place, and they're all beyond pleased with this newfound gem. The staff are friendly, and the service is pretty quick. My order doesn't always come out right, but they're generally consistent. It can get pretty busy, so I can understand the occasional mix up. I keep coming back and it keeps getting better. The Onshore is one of my favorite regular style sandwiches. We often call ahead to place our order and it is always ready when we arrive. Tom, the owner and head chef, is super nice and friendly. He also bakes all of the bread for the sandwiches-such a hard working and nice guy. Hopefully they will be serving beer soon-so we will be probably eating here nightly, haha. read more

Have stopped for lunch on several occasions. Most of the time the sandwiches are made perfect, generous portions so it's great for the price! I've had a few trips where there wasn't as much meat as the times before but that wouldn't stop me from returning! Homemade chips are awesome! read more

Because of the great reviews on Yelp, we were very excited about having a good sandwich place in Frederick. Unfortunately, it is not. As many other reviewers have pointed out, it was hard to find because they do not have a sign, but this is just a minor comment, since what counts is the food. We were hesitant to give a bad review, since it seems the owner is there working very hard all the time, but now that I've read about experience from others just like we experienced, I must submit this review. This is no real deli. My husband was there three times and I once. The sandwiches kept getting worse with each visit. FOOD: Soggy, not that flavorful, or in the case of some french fries, way too much in addition to soggy. During the last visit, we tried really hard to eat the food, but ended up leaving half each of a steak and onion and a reuben, and most of the fries. Inedible. SERVICE: They were really busy the last time we were there, but after waiting for a very long time, and seeing lots of people that came after us being served, we went to check what was happening with our order. It was ready but they had forgotten to call us. I am soooo disappointed that this place was not what we expected (especially after reading great reviews). We will not go back. read more

Woooooow! Tried this place as it was recommended multiple times and I am in heaven! I ordered a fried green tomato BLT short! It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. I didn't want it to end. The fries are very good as well. All this for only $7! I would've gave it five stars for the food, but i gave it four stars overall for two reasons. It was incredibly difficult to find. They don't actually have a sign that says their name- only a small one on their front window. The sign above the restaurant says "carry out" and that could be for anything. This is a wonderful little sandwich shop that I just happened to stumble upon while heading to the hospital in Frederick. I had a fantastic cold cut sandwich "The Godfather" and it was loaded with choice deli meat and the bread was fresh! It has a cool beach/surfer theme going on, friendly staff and plenty of choices on the menu. I will definitely be back!! Thanks guys!! read more

I was looking for something other than fast food or the typical sub. I saw this place had a BBQ Chicken salad. And I'm not really the salad kind of guy but I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Turns out this is a manly salad that will fill you up and end the hunger pains. All of the ingredients were separated on a bed of lettuce and spinach. At first I was being picky, forking a little of each ingredient and dunking it in the spicy ranch. But the trick is to mix it up. Each greenery bite was a combination of smoky sweet corn, spicy bbq chicken, meaty bacon, smoked gouda rounded up by the unique flavor of Cole slaw and crispy tortilla strips smothered in that spicy ranch dressing.
