Excellent barbecue in Boston . This visit was another visit…read morefor bbq and consistent with my prior visits. Great beer selection and highest one's own draft. The Robot crusher IPA, widow maker IPA were successful selection among my local brewers... night shift for one. Meal combos could be a bit more extensive. Meat and two was a single meat and two sides. I ordered this with ribs, Mac and cheese, beans. It comes with bread, pickles, pickled onions. I needed my smoked turkey , smoked brisket as I've had here, so can order a 1/4 or 1/2 lb of each. I ordered a 1/4 lb of each knowing leftover was to be the lunch sandwich tomorrow. Well, the beans were fantastic with chucks of brisket mixed in... best beans I've had at all the bbq places in Massachusetts and beyond . Mac and cheese very good, but I needed a multi cheese cork screw pasta blend like another spot ... excellent Mac and cheese still The ribs in the meat combo order were a hefty portion and meat fall off bones, perfect smoke, not salty meat... excellent. The 1/4 brisket was fall apart tender; excellent flavor, not dry, nice smoke flavor, not fatty and maybe a bit more fat maybe how others like. Excellent brisket and remains went into my baked beans cup for lunch tomorrow. Smoked turkey was tender, excellent flavors and I only order the smoked turkey here as other places serve it too dry... this was real deal . Choices of 3-4 bbq sauces, I plated all 4 and mixed, and used all four... I would have liked a far different one to provide a greater range ... a berry based sauce I had elsewhere would be the bomb on this turkey . Bread I would like to see replaced with a slice cornbread cinnamon buttered, pickled onions I don't need, pickles ok but a slaw cumber mix instead would be better ... Nice vibes with pickle ball courts, families, private parties here. Brews and Que all great here... the smoked wings look great and tough to order those and pass on a turkey or brisket side order... My only complaint is the ridiculously uncomfortable bar chairs... you need a chiropractor after sitting too long... doesn't promote people wanting to stay long... change these out ... few hundred bucks for padded seats with a comfortable arch and back... Firefly's bbq in Marlborough had best comfort vat seats in Massachusetts... send the manager up there to try one on his buttocks vs. this metal basement stool type from IKEA discount furniture.

My boyfriend and I ventured out to South Boston on a cold winter night for some dinner. We were in…read morethe mood for some tavern style dishes, but wanted something a little more elevated. This is when we found Lincoln Tower Tavern. When we arrived, it was a moody atmosphere that we both were drawn to--high ceilings, brick walls, and dark brown accents. Since it was our first visit, we were excited to learn that Tuesdays feature $1 oysters. We ordered half a dozen and tried all three oyster varieties available. Each had a standalone flavor which I liked. It was also plated nicely for a quick photo op. For my drink I ordered the perfect pear; it had different flavors than what I'm used to, but in a good way. My boyfriend chose the Meat Pie and I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Fricassee. The waitress said these dishes would take half an hour to prepare (which it did not), so we ordered a side caesar to start off with because we were starving, it worked out because it was awesome. When the dishes arrived, the meat pie was a huge hit. I even tried the mashed potatoes and they were delicious. As for my dish, it just wasn't for me. I do want to state that it was prepared well and creative, the flavors just did not mesh with my palette well. It really tasted like turkey and gravy to me for some reason. It was a fine dish, just wouldn't order it again. Overall we had a great experience at this tavern as we really like the oysters, the drinks, the salad and my boyfriend did like his meat pie. The ingredients were also super fresh. That being said, I would try it again. They seem to be known for their wood fired pizzas, most tables were ordering them. Unfortunately we weren't craving pizza that night, but next time this is what I would order. Overall Lincoln Tavern has my vote, I just would order another entrée dish. Our picks: -Perfect Pear -Guinness -6 Oysters -Side Caesar -Meat Pie -Chicken Fettucine Fricassee -Skillet Sundae

The fact there's TV's everywhere to watch the football games on Sunday! I already wanna go back ! The menu was so overwhelming with so many things that I want to try that I already know I'll be back! The sandwich was great! I'd get it again! The only thing is I'm more of a pancake person, as my husband wanted French toast! Usually the fruity pebbles are over pancakes! It was still good but French toast is just too much bread for me! The donuts were absolutely amazing I could have ate that whole plate myself! There was like an apple pie jam ! My godddd !! Totally recommend stopping by ! I'll be back to try more! Btw. I didn't have the short rib poutine (not my style) ! But my husband did devour it so .. I'll let that speak to ya'll Also love the vibes for Halloween!

Fusion in the best possible way!…read more Moonshine 152 is near our son's apartment and we've only been twice.. but both times we were absolutely enthralled by the options, the vibe, and the FOOD! It is soooo good! The menu has so much variety that my only complaint is that I can't physically eat a fraction of the things that look good! Today's awesomeness according to the eaters: Chicken wings- outstanding, required if you like chicken! Meatballs- very tasty and tender and seductively fragrant with a touch of tang. Yum. Chicken dumplings- deliciously! (I asked for one word, there you have it Braised rabbit pasta- creamy but delicate, slightly tangy, tender and succulent! Short rib beef bimbab- creative, nice cut sticky glaze beef, lots of tasty textures Cajun Tilapia- The fish, the green tomatoes, the shrimp, and the sauce each have unique textures and flavors that made me smile down to the last desperate plate scrape! I recommend Moonshine 152 to everybody that visits Boston. It checks so many boxes that as I sit here waiting for dessert (pavlova, excited!) I wish again I could stuff in some of these other entrees! ENJOY and tell us about the other dishes!

I got the Korean Born Star mocktail which was scrum (sweet and fruity). My friend got a white wine which she enjoyed. We shared the lamb lettuce wraps as a starter. They were okay but nothing to rave about. I got the legendary burger with an egg on the side. The burger was great. I was nervous I'd regret not trying something more exciting but it was truly a magnificent burger. I had the egg on the side so I could taste the burger on it's own (which was already amazing) then I added the egg in and it was even better. My friend got the kimchi fried rice which she enjoyed. Portion sizes were good value and overall thought price was fair. Definitely going back to try the Mixtape menu! Restaurant is in a great location. Would not recommend trying to drive in (I never do at least). Easily accessible from South station or courthouse station via red and silver lines. There's plenty to do around after eating: shopping, desserts, walking. Also right across from Cisco if you fancy a night out.
