    Fried Shrimp Dinner

Wonderful spot to grab food if you go for a walk around Castle Island! Food: Solid variety of food - fried seafood, lobster rolls, burgers, hot dogs, & ice cream. Service: Efficient service, online ordering available as well! Seating: Seating is exclusively outdoors. There are plenty of tables and benches to sit at. Watch out for the seagulls! They will try and grab your food

Sullivan's at Castle Island is a classic & great place to go to for fried seafood, lobster rolls, ice cream, & lime rickeys! I love going here on nice day, like today, to get some food and enjoy the weather. They have lots of outside seating available, tables + benches to sit at. What we ordered: -fried clam bellies (small) -fried scallop dinner w/ fries OMG! The clam bellies were HUGE today. The strips were so meaty too and definitely satisfied my fried seafood craving. I love dipping with both tartar sauce and ketchup + hot sauce mix. A small was definitely a good amount! The scallops were colossal, as well, and honestly the pictures that I captured didn't do either platters justice haha. Both were definitely jumbo size, which exceeded both our expectations because we each hadn't had Sullivan's the last few years & have visited other fried seafood spots around... I have not found a place around or even Maine or the Cape to have such large scallops + clam bellies. Overall, very happy that we chose to go to Sullivan's today to get our fried seafood fix, definitely satisfied our cravings. Will be back soon ;)) Parking: they have a free parking lot.

I had the best fried clam bellies ever here today the hot dog with everything was great as well. The prices have gone through the roof bu they are still really good at everything they do super clean shop extremely fast and professional service and fresh and tasty eats and treats. It's an institution here in Boston.

Sullivan's will always be a staple down in castle island. Having grown up here it's nice to see how they've evolved. There's a little bit for everyone in terms of menu items. Sandwiches, fried seafood, broiled items, ice cream, drinks, burgers, chicken tendies! There was a line the day we came but it moved fairly quickly, outside some characters in line that want to be confrontational, but shut that down quickly. Now back to the fried scallops they were nice and juicy, perfectly fried and the batter stays on! The fries were crispy and the clam belly's were full and fat! Now price to portion, you definitely paying a bit for the staple name and the location. Wish the portion of seafood was a bit bigger for cost but that's just me. Enjoyed the meal as always and will again be back some other point this summer! Sunny days on castle island, food, and a nice walk enjoying the outdoors!

Food here is tasty! This park has a lot of History. It has a renovated playground and this restaurant is busy with hungry families. Parking and seating can be tight but stay vigilant!

I loved getting ice cream here! I got the strawberry vanilla swirl soft serve. It was gigantic! And it tasted very good. I also got a pup cup for my dog which made me very happy :) such a cute spot with so much outdoor seating available

I've been to Sullivan's many times over the years, it's such a Boston institution. Menu is nothing fancy, but the foods are exactly what you are looking for when you want oceanfront snacks. My kids have declared their chicken fingers to be "the best ones ever" and as American toddlers, they are true experts. My husband loves their fish and chips and I love their new chicken sandwich. Do not leave without getting a lime rickey, it absolutely perfect. Their soft serve is great too, love the strawberry/vanilla twist. There is plenty of parking nearby and a great new playground on Castle Island, a perfect family day out.

Sullivan's at Castle Island captures the essence of a New England summer with disarming simplicity. Perfectly situated for a stop before the airport or to watch planes rise above the harbor, it offers a sense of place as much as it offers food. The operation runs with quiet efficiency, an impressive feat largely in the hands of student workers who bring an easy, genuine energy to the service. The lobster roll is generous and fresh, overflowing with tender meat, while the clam chowder is everything it should be, rich, balanced, and deeply comforting. Sullivan's is a reminder that good can be found in the humblest of settings, where the experience of eating by the water becomes inseparable from the flavors on the plate.

Dinky hot dogs for now 3.50 Prices too high now for average food Better value elsewhere... Raise prices, shrink food . I'll go elsewhere now

    $28 for five scallops. Yep

Two stars just because I grew up loving Sullys. Won't be ordering again, however. Paid $28 (before delivery fees...) for the scallops and got (5) scallops, literally. That's just not right to do to people. Beware (see photo)

Nothing says summer like a Sullivan's hot dog at Castle Island. Toasted bun with a lightly grilled dog just hits the spot. The other food options - meh. However, I should have known better than to venture into the chicken sandwich for a healthier option. The chicken was rubbery and hard to chew - probably was a frozen chicken breast and not worth the $8. Their crinkle fries are nice and crunchy but lacking salt so you'll need to add your own. Their fried options are okay - pricey like any other summer seafood placeLove their soft serve on a hot day though. Expect a long line during the summer. Seating is limited to a few outdoor tables but if you walk a bit further towards the playground, there are plenty of tables there. Or even better, bring a blanket and sit on the grass to watch the boats go by. Overall the food is okay and the prices are high but you pay for the experience as you would at any tourist destination.

Fried Clam Strip Dinner ($22) and Cheeseburger ($5)

Prices increases a little but quality of the food is still good. I always get their Clam strip dinner which comes with only fries. Wish they offered Cole slaw with it if you're charging $22-$23 for the dinner portion . Cheeseburger cooked fresh from the grill. Onions minced up like McDonald's. I believe their lobster rolls are $22 now? Not bad . Great customer service and clean environment after renovations. Overall, like many places, prices slightly have gone up but portion size the same . A little sad soft serve ice cream is double the price now lol $4.50 for soft serve on a cone . Time has changed .

We took a nice little walk to Castle Island today. Beautiful spot. While there we visited Sullivan's for a quick bite to eat. Sullivan's had some nice reviews so we went in with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The Sullivan's menu has all of the classic fast food favorites like burgers, hot dogs and fries as well as lobster rolls, fish and chips, fried clams and salads. We went with the burgers, fries and dogs. I personally I decided to opt for something lighter and ordered a chicken Caesar salad. Unfortunately, everything we got was incredibly underwhelming. The burgers, for starters, reminded me of a Wendy's burger though more generic and less flavorful. The hot dogs too were disappointingly generic, lacking any standout qualities that would make them memorable. The fries were mediocre and had almost no salt. The biggest letdown was the chicken Caesar salad. I knew it was gonna suck before I got it, but it REALLY sucked. The chicken had an unpleasant slimy texture, reminiscent of pre-packaged chicken breast that's been sitting in a fridge for a month. It was evident that the chicken had not been cooked to order and it was just pretty gross. The salad itself was very plain, just romaine and I added in some tomato, though the tomato was mealy and old. Food aside, the location is nice enough, with a bunch of picnic tables outside and a great view. The staff also was also quite nice even though their food was terrible. Overall though, 1 star. Very far from satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling let down and wondering why everyone likes this place so much. I just don't see it.

I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.
