For a first New England Seafood clam shack experience, this was both iconic and a great start! I found everything to be piping hot and fresh/ the staff to be nice in answering my many questions.

Seagull at the far end swooped in and took my burger from my hands :(

Seagulls here are aggressive! I was mid bite into the hamburger I just ordered and a seagull flew up from behind and tore it out of my hands, biting my thumb in the process. I guess there goes my lunch. So can't comment on the burger...but caught a pic of the culprit. Clam chowder was not bad but nothing spectacular. Overall just an ok restaurant. Fast service and good options

Wonderful spot to grab food if you go for a walk around Castle Island! Food: Solid variety of food - fried seafood, lobster rolls, burgers, hot dogs, & ice cream. Service: Efficient service, online ordering available as well! Seating: Seating is exclusively outdoors. There are plenty of tables and benches to sit at. Watch out for the seagulls! They will try and grab your food

Sullivan's at Castle Island is a classic & great place to go to for fried seafood, lobster rolls, ice cream, & lime rickeys! I love going here on nice day, like today, to get some food and enjoy the weather. They have lots of outside seating available, tables + benches to sit at. What we ordered: -fried clam bellies (small) -fried scallop dinner w/ fries OMG! The clam bellies were HUGE today. The strips were so meaty too and definitely satisfied my fried seafood craving. I love dipping with both tartar sauce and ketchup + hot sauce mix. A small was definitely a good amount! The scallops were colossal, as well, and honestly the pictures that I captured didn't do either platters justice haha. Both were definitely jumbo size, which exceeded both our expectations because we each hadn't had Sullivan's the last few years & have visited other fried seafood spots around... I have not found a place around or even Maine or the Cape to have such large scallops + clam bellies. Overall, very happy that we chose to go to Sullivan's today to get our fried seafood fix, definitely satisfied our cravings. Will be back soon ;)) Parking: they have a free parking lot.

I had the best fried clam bellies ever here today the hot dog with everything was great as well. The prices have gone through the roof bu they are still really good at everything they do super clean shop extremely fast and professional service and fresh and tasty eats and treats. It's an institution here in Boston.

Sullivan's will always be a staple down in castle island. Having grown up here it's nice to see how they've evolved. There's a little bit for everyone in terms of menu items. Sandwiches, fried seafood, broiled items, ice cream, drinks, burgers, chicken tendies! There was a line the day we came but it moved fairly quickly, outside some characters in line that want to be confrontational, but shut that down quickly. Now back to the fried scallops they were nice and juicy, perfectly fried and the batter stays on! The fries were crispy and the clam belly's were full and fat! Now price to portion, you definitely paying a bit for the staple name and the location. Wish the portion of seafood was a bit bigger for cost but that's just me. Enjoyed the meal as always and will again be back some other point this summer! Sunny days on castle island, food, and a nice walk enjoying the outdoors!

Food here is tasty! This park has a lot of History. It has a renovated playground and this restaurant is busy with hungry families. Parking and seating can be tight but stay vigilant!

Great food and great soft serve! Grabbing a cold raspberry lime Rickey and vanilla/chocolate swirl soft serve and walking around Castle Island is a top tier activity

I loved getting ice cream here! I got the strawberry vanilla swirl soft serve. It was gigantic! And it tasted very good. I also got a pup cup for my dog which made me very happy :) such a cute spot with so much outdoor seating available

I've been to Sullivan's many times over the years, it's such a Boston institution. Menu is nothing fancy, but the foods are exactly what you are looking for when you want oceanfront snacks. My kids have declared their chicken fingers to be "the best ones ever" and as American toddlers, they are true experts. My husband loves their fish and chips and I love their new chicken sandwich. Do not leave without getting a lime rickey, it absolutely perfect. Their soft serve is great too, love the strawberry/vanilla twist. There is plenty of parking nearby and a great new playground on Castle Island, a perfect family day out.

Sullivan's at Castle Island captures the essence of a New England summer with disarming simplicity. Perfectly situated for a stop before the airport or to watch planes rise above the harbor, it offers a sense of place as much as it offers food. The operation runs with quiet efficiency, an impressive feat largely in the hands of student workers who bring an easy, genuine energy to the service. The lobster roll is generous and fresh, overflowing with tender meat, while the clam chowder is everything it should be, rich, balanced, and deeply comforting. Sullivan's is a reminder that good can be found in the humblest of settings, where the experience of eating by the water becomes inseparable from the flavors on the plate.

The clam chowder is good. The lobster roll was on a slice of bread about 3 inches long and tasteless. The fried fish was greasy.

These days, everywhere you go, places are charging around $20 for a burger. More often than not, they disappoint at that price point. And some don't even come with fries for that price! But that's where we are. I ordered the Capital Burger for $23. It was arguably the best burger I've had in my life. Like a French onion soup infused burger. The taste was delectable, the quality top notch, and cooked to perfection. And yes, it came with fries. Finally, a burger worth the hefty price places charge nowadays. Wife had the Ribeye Steak Sandwich which was flavorful and plentiful, as we brought half home for lunch the next day. And surprisingly, the wine list is VERY reasonably priced. Again, if you eat out often, you know the prices for a glass of wine have risen beyond ridiculous the last couple of years. So appreciate this place for not price gouging.

Hubs eyes are always bigger than his stomach so for starters he ordered Smoked Gouda Cheese fries with chopped Poblano Peppers, Eggs & Bacon deviled eggs with candied bacon and a cup of New England Clam Chowder. My Capital Burger was a delicious layering of caramelized onions, Wisconsin Gruyère and shallot aioli - so good! It was like a burger you get on the grill when you're grilling out at home. It was a basic burger with American cheese, bread and butter pickles, and thinly sliced red onions with mayo on the side. It also comes with fries, but you can sub for another side for a fee, my mom ordered onion rings. Unfortunately they didn't arrive hot, but they tasted ok. Not overly battered and the onion stayed in the "ring", the fries were basic frozen fries that arrived piping hot, which helped the taste, but overall the fries I could do without. If ever in Boston, try this place out. Our waitress was nice and checked on us every chance she could get, as for ambience. It can get loud, you can sit by the window and ppl watch as well.

I Really hate having to write this review…read more I've watched Ramsays for decades on tv and when I found out he opened a Restaurant in Boston near where my wife works I was very interested. However... Upon entering you go through a rotating door, was thinking- if you have a walker or something would be hard to get through. When inside there was no one to greet us for quite awhile, The woman finally showed up and told another girl to seat us who seemed to have no iedea what was going on so the woman that told her to seat us did it herself. When walking to the table very obvious there was not many people in the restaurant just 2 people. It was around 3 pm with a ton of people outside everywhere walking. A lot of tables inside had leftover plates that people had already eaten from yet not cleaned. Quite a few employees but nobody looking busy, nobody cleaning. The booth we where given as we sat down instantly we saw how dirty the booth and table was. The booth had white stains on the backing and food all over the seat etc. The table had food on it and human hairs. Not head hairs, the pant variety, I am not even joking. If there is ONE rule I have about eating out it is cleanliness, if the booth you are sitting at is dirty, ect, it doesn't give me confidence that the plates they will put the food on will be 100% clean either. regardless to say we got up and left, told the server we were leaving. No food for us. If this was on kitchen nightmares or one of Ramsays shows he would definitely have said something and been irritated/concerned. Being his own restaurant was quite the shock. For how much the food costs, around 20+ a burger youd think the place would be clean. Grossed me out. We ended up going to the original Pizzaria Regina's where we waited in line for about an hour to get a table, Table was very clean, waitresses were spot on and the food was amazing, if anything glad Ramsays was a Sh** show or we would never have gone to Regina's. Not a good impression, maybe I can try some other Ramsays restaurant one day but most likely wont be back to this one
