    Bloody mary

This restaurant is kinda between a sports bar and regular restaurant vibes. Staffs are very friendly and they love to engage in a small talks with all guests here. Much to my surprise, the chef herself also came out and serve foods to her customers. Definitely top notch customer service!!! I ordered their bloody Mary, patatas bravas, and Feb 2026 burger. Bloody Mary was delicious and refreshing with a hint of pepper. Their take on patata bravas also bold. Sauce is zesty and tangy with savory taste. Definitely a good appetizer. Feb 2026 burger is also too delicious. They mixed sambal (fresh chili sauce) into the burger sauce. Sambal is typically has bold flavor but for some reason they balanced the flavor!!! Definitely the best restaurant I visited in South Boston area.

From the moment we walked into Moonshine 152, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for a perfect evening. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, from the lighting and music to the attentive service and final photo as we walked out the door. Let's talk about the food because wow. The Soft Shell Crab Bao was a showstopper. Lightly fried with that ideal crunch, the pickled veggies and aioli brought balance, depth, and pure magic in every bite. Each flavor married the next well. Then came the Grilled Fish Tacos and Birria Style Short Rib Tacos both absolutely to die for. The birria tacos were juicy and deeply flavored, with the consomme adding a bold richness that lingered perfectly. The fish tacos were fresh and kinda zesty, topped with avocado and a slaw that made every bite feel like summer. The Jalapeño Crab Rangoon was PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Dirty Fried Rice with Grilled Shrimp was one of my favorite dishes of the night. Every forkful had soul. The Cajun spices, caramelized onions, and juicy shrimp packed a dynamic punch. The I elevated by adding extra scallions. Each bite reminded me of the home cooked meals I grew up with in a kitchen where flavor was never optional. We also had the Korean Fried Chicken Wings and let me just say, yummalicious. Crispy on the outside, tender inside and unforgettable. And do not even get me started on the Ricotta Bruschetta . The grilled bread was buttery and crispy, and the toppings were fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil oil, and balsamic glaze. It was one of those "close your eyes and moan" dishes that you never want to end. What took this night from amazing to extraordinary was Chef Asia Mei herself. When your meal is delivered by the very hands that crafted it, there is a connection that forms between the plate and your heart. You feel the love, the intention, the joy of a chef who truly cooks with purpose. As someone raised in a home where good food and dessert were acts of love, and where my father, a gifted baker and cook, filled our home with unforgettable flavors, this meal literally felt like heaven had loaned him back to me for one night. Chef Asia, thank you. For filling my belly and warming my soul in one visit. Your flavors live in a lane of their own, and your presence elevates the experience. Moonshine 152 is now on my frequent flyer list. It's been a very very long time since I've been to the same restaurant two days in a row. And to all my fellow Yelp Elites, get there. Bring your appetite, your appreciation for creativity, and prepare for absolute perfection from start to finish.

Came here with my daughter and her friends-realized as we neared the restaurant that I've been before, probably 8 years ago before we left Boston. It's held up! The food was delicious! Asian fusion- my favorite dishes were the mochi pancake special, the tilapia and the Dubai chocolate waffle dessert. The latter had all my favorite flavors. Service was very friendly, atmosphere funky and fun. And they gave us a free extra dessert. Great place!

I love that moonshine is critically acclaimed, yet is casual and extremely unpretentious. I would return for the vibes alone. Chef Asia's art is hung around everywhere and staff is very friendly, which makes for a homey and cozy feel. Chef Asia herself brought out our food, which is top tier hospitality. The food is amazing too. Crab Benedict is a solid choice- decent amount of crab, eggs aren't poached but aren't greasy, and the English muffin is very fluffy. I'm glad I got the hollandaise on the side as they brought out a sizeable amount, and it's quite spicy. It also didn't strike me as a traditional hollandaise. The chicken and waffles are superb. 4 entire drumsticks (bone in), a small Belgian waffle, deliciously coated in syrup... and yet not too heavy. Will be returning for sure!!

You might want to get reservations for this place! We came in a Sunday night and it was busy. I started off with a Warm Cider Rum drink, great drink for the fall. For a Starter we got the Jalapeno Crab Rangoons, very, very good! Also, got the Moonshine's Boston's best Buttermilked fried Chicken wings! Living in Nashville, we know how it should taste. Bring it on! Ok... she Nailed it!!! Out standing Asia, light batter, and the chicken was soooo tender! She knows the key to great fried chicken! On to the entree... I got the November's 2024 VIP Burger of the month! Ok, this was crazy good! She creates a new burger every month. This one had Thanksgiving in every bite! Chef Asia, thanks for serving us, you are Awesome! Cheers! Also, take some time and look around at the art work that Chef Asia does! It's also for sale.

    Jessica Z.

The food was SO good, but what was really amazing was Chef Asia coming by our table herself to hand us the food and just make sure that we were having a good time. Everything we ate made me so impressed at how one can elevate foods such as french toast and tater tots but this place did. The french toast sticks were crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, and it didn't feel super heavy. The phorrito was huge and each bite was an explosion of flavors. I would definitely come back over and over to try everything again.

Every dish exploded with unique, fresh flavors. Definitely try the fried chicken. Epic. Another big hit was the scallion pancakes with caviar, topped with a perfectly fried egg. The combination worked shockingly well with the pancakes and caviar. The only dish I'd recommend skipping is the Spicy Szechuan Dandan Noodles. Not bad, just a very heavy anise and dill flavor that overpowered the entire dish. That being said, the service was amazing. Our server, Robin P., took that dish off the bill, which was incredibly thoughtful. I can't say enough good things about this place. Go try it. Get blown away. Thank me later.

We were crammed in the corner of the bar where we had to constantly tuck our arms in as the wait staff walked by with food and drinks for patrons of the restaurant. I also got the lovely view of the waitress area. Not exactly a mood setting location. Plus, our table was so tiny we could barely fit two dishes at a time and had to figure out how to keep our cocktails on the table. Also didn't help that I was tucked in because the table next to us was back to back with me. Also, had to listen to the man's obnoxiously loud conversation behind us because we were packed like sardines in the bar area. We booked a comfy table for my friend's bday dinner and they gave us a crappy bar table. I was very disappointed and displeased. Also, my high top chair was missing a leg cover and was super wobbly. I asked the manager about switching chairs and she said she would bring a new chair for me. She never did. I ended up switching my own chair with one from the bar. Not something I should have to do for a place that charged about $30 per "tapas" plate. We did bring this to the manager's attention at the end of our meal at which point we were just ready to leave. It was by far the most uncomfortable I have ever been at a supposedly higher end restaurant. The manager said if she had known sooner, she would've done something to rectify it. Almost sounded like she blamed us for not telling her soon. Although she was very well aware that they had screwed up some reservations. She should've fixed it then when she came around asking our name that was on our reservation to ensure they had marked their books correctly. She knew then that they had made a mistake but did nothing to fix it. And she was running around like crazy and our multiple attempts to get her attention during our short dinner there went unnoticed. Trust me, we tried to get her attention. So, I'm not taking the blame for their mistake. Sure she comped some food but $90 for a crappy experience still feels like a waste of time and money. We ended up walking over to Tuscan Kitchen to get a cocktail and ended up with a much better drink, much better service and actual room to breathe. Will be skipping Nautilus in the future and recommend you do the same.

Staff was very knowledgeable about each entree, and provided information about how entrees were cooked and served. They also had a "halvsies" menu of half-size portions (ideal portions for one or two diners). Started with the Mama Chang Pork Dumplings, which were excellent, and the cauliflower appetizer (a little spicy, but very good). Liked the udon noodles with chicken and bok choy, although a little less red chili pepper would have suited my tastes better (good for those who like a bit of zing to their food). The lettuce wrap chicken was well worth the 20-minute wait. Finished with the lemon ginger mousse, which was very light. The fortune cookie on the mousse was fresh and crisp, so good that some thought it might have been baked at Joanne Chang's Flour Cafe and Bakery. The finish was extra nice, with a red lucky envelope with chocolates accompanying the check, an orange at each table (signs for good fortune in the New Year), and red decorations hanging in the restaurant to create a festive setting. Good choice for the start of the New Lunar Year of the Fire Horse!

The interior is very cool, cozy, and the cool red paint design on the glass windows makes it all feel very charming and comfortable. We did have a bit of a wait for our table despite having reservations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share between the 4 of us - scallion pancake, bourbon chicken wings, spicy salmon rolls, pork belly buns, sliced beef, eggplant, hot n sour soup, golden potato and lemongrass soup. I think my favorite of those was the eggplant dish - perfectly cooked and flavorful with ginger and soy. Wings were good too. The soups were nice I liked the hot n sour one. The lemongrass soup was a creamy one quite tasty but also quite filling and rich. For entrees, we ordered the roasted soy glazed salmon, the Indonesian fried rice, bok choy and surf and turf noodles. Everything was good. We were all so full and also had leftovers. But decided to order dessert too - everyone loved the vanilla bean ice cream (the menu described it as a parfait) with orange granita - really generous too - 3 scoops of ice cream and the orange sorbet which was more granular than a sorbet more like very finely crushed ice. Very refreshing! The banana caramel crème brûlée was really good too - nice and creamy. The lemon ginger mousse was very creamy but I thought had a bit too much of ginger. I think the deserts were hands down everyone's favorite part of the meal despite everyone pretty much denying they wanted any! Service was very friendly by our server Julie who was delightful! Lovely young lady. Overall great experience!!

When we walked into Legal, the place was dead, the music was awful, and the vibe was just not there. So we sat at the bar and grabbed a drink while searching for a place to get an actual dinner where we could find last-minute reservations. Shojo in Chinatown came up with great reviews and after looking at the menu and seeing that we could get a reservation, we headed over. It was a short walk from the Ritz and Chinatown is just such a fun place with great energy. When we walked in, we knew we had made the right call and were easily able to switch our reservation from a table to bar seats, which is always an added bonus. The place is low lit and the music is on the louder side, but nothing was excessive to the point that we didn't enjoy our time there. We ordered a variety of drinks while there - a Toki Highball draft, a spicy tequila drink with lemongrass, a few different types of Japanese whiskeys as well (they have a really extensive list). As far as food goes, they categorize their menu into Snacks, Baos, and Rice, Noodles, and Dumplings. There's a lot of vegetarian friendly options, which is always a plus for me. My highlights were the 7 vegetable stir fry, fried eggplant bao, edamame dumplings, and the Thai veggie spring rolls. The salt and pepper calamari was also really great. Everything was terrific and really unique. Service was good - not great, but they took notice of empty glasses and were quick to bring out food, so I have absolutely no complaints. Shojo is somewhere I'd absolutely return to when staying in the area, I'm really happy we all turned what would have been a very touristy, depressing experience into something with a WAY better vibe and time!

The XO sauce was extremely rich, sweet and umami, and the udon noodles were soft on the outside and bouncy on the inside; the sauce was glossy, smooth, but not greasy, allowing it to coat the noodles evenly and infuse them with flavor. The shrimp, squid, and scallops were all fresh and large, making for a very satisfying meal. The shrimp, in particular, were coated with a thin layer of starch before being pan-fried, adding layers of texture and locking in the juices. This plate removed the scallions and onions to suit my taste, and if you like spicy food, adding a little chili oil would greatly enhance the flavor. The restaurant had an elegant and refined ambiance, and the service was attentive, making it a very relaxing place.

WOW! An awesome experience!!! I went here for my birthday…read morewith my parents and boyfriend, and this had been on my want to go list for years, and I am so glad I can finally cross it off! When I made the reservation online I put that the occasion it was for was my birthday- I notice that most restaurants don't pay attention to this on OpenTable, but Fuji definitely did! We were seated quickly and with no issue at all, despite it being pretty crowded. The vibe was intimate and classy- a great spot for date night, or for dinner with your parents. At our table was a card (in the pictures) which was such a nice touch and was a great start to the meal. Our waitress was awesome, and it seemed like there was a floor manager too that was making sure everyone was happy. It felt like the staff truly cared and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and experience. Our waitress checked in on us multiple times, and was very helpful with the menu. Speaking of the menu, I was very pleased to see the amount of vegetarian dishes! You don't see that often at Japanese restaurants! For our appetizers we got the lobster Rangoon and spicy edamame. Technically the tofu is an app but you would never guess that from the portion size. The edamame were outstanding! They were spicy as expected and were so tasty. We demolished the whole bowl. The Rangoons were also amazing- the chunks of lobster were divine. I myself love lobster and crab Rangoons, so a combo?! Amazing. Both the edamame and lobster Rangoons are can't misses. For our entrees/ mains we got the crispy soy noodles, miss Waldorf roll, sweet potato roll, tofu, and fried rice. The miss Waldorf roll is amazing, and I can not wait to go back and get more sushi. Truly the best sushi I have had in boston. There are other upscale sushi restaurants I have been to that charge a pretty penny but taste like grocery store sushi. Fuji is not one of those- it was truly exceptional sushi. The sweet potato roll was also delicious! I am very picky about my sweet potato rolls and had one that I have dreamt about since I had it in 2022. I have finally found a sweet potato roll that matches my standards. The crispy soy noodles were also amazing! They reminded e of one of my favorite restaurants when I was a kid and it filled me with such joy to eat something with that flavor. The serving size was pretty big too, and they were not shy on the shrimp! Note though, they were a tad oily (I added a little bit of soy sauce to balance it out). The fried rice was also very good and tasted like a good bowl of comfort fried rice. My parents ate it with the tofu and liked it! The only dish I would want some change in is the tofu- it wasn't bad but compared to the other dishes it definitely lacked the flavor punch you get in the rest of the dishes. The sauce was okay with it. After dinner our waitress brought a slice of vanilla crepe cake and ice cream! This was such a nice touch and it was SO good!!!!! It was the first time I ever had crepe cake but I loved it! I'm not sure if they have a dessert menu or not (we weren't asked if we wanted to see one) but I would love to go back and get that cake again! Overall I am beyond happy that I picked this spot for my birthday- I had an amazing experience and amazing food. Will definitely be back!

This place is popping! Even though it was later in the evening, the restaurant was still really full. However we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. I loved the decor in here, such neat details and even a column with a dragon on it! So cool. It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But he said that he would return before the kitchen closed in case we wanted to order additional menu items. We were intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian fusion menu and tried a few things: Kuromitsu Brussel Sprouts Spicy Salmon Fritas Bo Bo Chicken I was most excited about the Bo Bo Chicken a it had a sichuan chili oil and I love spicy, but it was not spicy at all (to me). But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. I don't eat salmon, but my friend said the Salmon Fritas was great and really enjoyed them. I would say this was the best meal we had on our trip!
