THE BIG: Located in the Highland area of Central Austin and in the shopping center with 99 Ranch asian grocery store. Ambiance is your typical modern bakery with light and airy vibes but also a kind of sterile environment. Some seating but mainly it's a grab and go type place. Plenty of parking in the lot. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Definitely come here early because I hear once the pastries sell out, they are done for the day. We got the Ube Cream Cake 8" for our baby shower. It was a beautiful cake that alternated between the actual cake and ube potato mash, along with the ube cream. Ordering it to go was very easy and thankfully we did that because the line was long. was essentially in and out in 10 minutes. THE FINAL BAMBOO: The cake was around $40 and was delicious. I do think that 85C is one of the best bakeries in Austin and would recommend to try their pastries.

Had a little breakfast bread today. I had a spinach danish and boroh danish! They were both buttery and yummy! I also ordered for oat milk matcha pumping latte but they just gave me a regular one... perhaps I should have returned it but I just had it because I don't like waist. Anyways, I still had a good time.

I love 85°C Bakery for how affordable it is you can grab a good amount of bread without spending much. The selection is solid, and it's easy to find a few favorites each visit. I also enjoy their taro smoothie and strawberry mango smoothie. Flavor-wise they're good, but consistency can be hit or miss since they're not always blended well, and I sometimes end up with a lot of ice chunks. The egg tarts are one of my favorites, but I'm pretty frustrated that they now force you to buy them in packs of two instead of letting you buy just one. That decision honestly knocks a star down for me. Aside from that, it's a clean, organized bakery that gets very busy on weekends. Overall, still a great spot for affordable baked goods with plenty of options, just wish they'd bring back single egg tarts and improve smoothie consistency.

I always love coming here. All the baked goods I've tried are so delicious and always taste fresh. The service is very friendly and efficient. Lines are usually long, but you don't wait too long in line. I also love their drinks! There are plenty of choices for drinks, and it's cool that they have fall specials. They could work on cleanliness and also providing more seating, though space is limited. Nonetheless, I always enjoy coming here because everything is so good!

I love 85! I recommend getting the savory bread. The brioche is soft, fluffy, with a hint of sweetness!!! I also ordered a few other items such as the matcha bread, and the sausage. It was really good too. I usually do not go for options with meat but I'm glad I gave it a try. This bakery is super affordable with prices ranging from $1.95+ the drinks are just as amazing!!! Lots of choices for the boba lovers. If you download the app and create an account you get a free drink :) and it will automatically show you which options you can choose from in the app. The larger cakes and sweeter desserts are VERY PRETTY but in my honest opinion bland and not worth the prices. This places does get packed and there is usually no seating available. I do hope they add a few cozy chairs and more seating!

85 is a cute spot with lots of bread & dessert options. We came in right before closing time, so less options for us, we'll get em next time. The lemon cake had an interesting structure with its layers transposed. I loved the tart lemony cream in between the layers, I just wish there was much more of it like the amount of whip cream on top!!

I used to drive to Austin just to visit 85 and get their Hokkaido egg tart and chocolate mousse. Every other week I had to get in the car and drive there. Thankfully now they opened in San Antonio. I still frequent this location often This location always has a line which is an indication how good it is! The baked goods are always fresh! Even if it is self serve it is always spotless clean! I am a baker and believe me I prefer going buying the chocolate mousse cake for my direct family members for celebrw. This is how good it is!

The employees were so knowledgeable and quick about their service. Everything is out on display and is gorgeous. They have indoor seating but we decided to take our goodies to go. Everything tasted delicious. It's not your traditional American sweet, it was mildly sweet so you could really get the fruit flavors and taste of their milk bread. I highly recommend the taro lavender latte! It tasted like melted ice cream could not put it down!

Good boba tea. Amazing pastries. Decent cakes. Seasonal goods such as moon cakes. Honestly what not to like about this bakery?

Went mid afternoon, wasn't much to choose from. The drinks were good. The place was clean. Not sure yet if I'll try them again. Their pastries were good, but I've been to many other bakeries of the same style.

Great bread selection! Definitely gonna have to go back and try more types. From what I had I'd recommend the Hokkaido Custard Bun or Mango Custard Bun. The milk tea is good too. I had a Pumpkin Spice Milk Tea with Boba and a sip of one of the bottled milk teas and between those two I preferred the bottled one. The drinks were ready fast, and there was hardly any line to pay for your bread. The rooms were spacious and had great lighting, a nice mix of natural and indoor lights, and the bathrooms were clean and convenient.

There was only 1 person working in the front with 2 people waiting in front of me. I ordered a cold brew coffee thinking it would be faster than my normal cappuccino order. While she was doing her best, it took almost 20 minutes to get a cold brew coffee (poured from the pitcher over ice...no real-time brewing required). In between making the matcha latte and vanilla latte orders in front of me, she was stopping to take additional orders and payment from new customers. Maybe that is the system that works for her, but it seemed much less efficient. From the business perspective, it meant I waited rather than leaving since I had already paid. Two other groups of customers ordered after me, and waited at least 15 minutes for to-go pastries. Perhaps consider staffing with 2 people on the weekend. Definitely worth a visit and everything I have tried has been delicious. It just may require a bit of patience.

I been wanting to try this bakery but the lines at the HMart location are always super long. I popped by yesterday to try their treats. Tous Les Jours is a bakery that combines French pastry techniques and Asian flavor profiles. Visually the pastries look French and draw you in as they are aesthetically beautiful. However, Asian pastries tend to be less sweet, which was the case with Tous Les Jours. The bakery had a number of sweet treats...croissants (sweet and savory), cakes, bread, to name a few. When I walked in the fresh baked pastries and bread smells filled your nostrils with a refreshing aroma. There is a small space inside for seating. There are tables and chairs outside, not fully setup, so I am not sure they were associated with Tous Les Jours. I purchased a croissant with a sausage inside. This review has been six months in the making--six months of disappointing and disheartening…read moreexperiences. 4/30/25--I placed an order for a chocolate graduation cake for my son's high school graduation. I included specific instructions along with photos (see attached). I specifically asked if there would be any problems with this and explained the high school part was important as my son did not want it to look like he was graduating from UT. 5/31 morning--I pick up the cake. It's sloppy--icing is dented, UT emblem is crooked, and the handwriting is difficult to read. Even worse, there is NO high school logo or mascot. When I pointed this out, he takes out the picture reference I gave him to argue and then has to apologize. I had to leave, so I take the cake and hide my disappointment from my family. 5/31 party--We cut into the cake. It's vanilla. I text them, and they say sorry. They want to talk to make it right. 6/1--He offers a 30% refund on the cake and to make a chocolate cake for my son to be delivered after we return from vacation. 7/16 through 7/14--I check on the credit to my account frequently. Nothing. 7/11--He offers to send the refund through a cash/cash app. 7/20--Still no refund. My graduate started a nonprofit years ago that means a great deal to him, so I offer the alternative of making a donation instead since they can do so directly off the website. They agree to this and "love" the idea. 7/20 through 7/31--Still no donation. I checked in frequently and always got, "sorry, we'll do that asap." At this point, I'm thinking they just can't afford the refund they initially offered and since one of the struggles with my son's small nonprofit is getting the word out, I offer the alternative of making a reel that will spread word of the charity to people who may need help. They agree. 8/2--He tells me they are under contract and will do the reel after. It will be a couple of weeks. 8/23 through 10/17--I frequently check in. Lots of promises but no action. 10/17 through 10/20--We set up a call which he forgets. We reschedule. He forgets again. We finally talk, and I let them know that if the nonprofit isn't something they can support, they can make the refund they originally offered. I'm assured they "definitely believe, especially because it's helping kids in our community that we live in" and that the reel will be done this week or the next at the latest. 11/12--I stop by the store. He is not there but I leave my card with an employee and ask for a callback. 11/17--I send a text saying I'm done. 11/25--I post the review. 4 hrs later, he calls and apologizes, saying they really want to do the right thing and will make the $100 donation AND do the reel for the charity. He explains how the review hurts their small family business and asks if I'll take it down if they make the donation and do the reel. That doesn't feel right so I offer to write an update instead. He agrees and promises to make the donation that night. That doesn't happen. 11/26--At 8am, he calls and repeats how the review hurts them. I reiterate that was true and then add that he didn't even make the promised donation the previous night. He agrees but asks if they did the reel and made a $300 donation, would I then be willing to take the review down. I abhor that practice of taking down reviews in exchange for compensation and am not proud of this, but after calculating that $300 would buy 100+ meals for kids in need, I agree to take it down if they do both. I also explain how important the reel is to spread the word. They make the $300 donation, and I suggest Giving Tuesday, 12/2/25 as a day to post the reel. He replies, "she really wants to do ithat would be perfect." 12/2 morning--I hadn't heard anything and ask for an update. He says he'll check with her. 12/4 evening--Still nothing, and I text that I'm starting to feel ignored (again) and that I will NOT put myself through this (again). He texts back, "No ma'am I apologize. It will be done. You will not have to reach back. I will take care of it." I tell him I want two dates--when I will hear back and when the reel will be done. He replies, "Will definitely get back to you tomorrow morning with the date of the reel." 12/5 morning--I receive a text saying, "we are figuring out a date we just want to make sure we give you definite answer and date." He says I'll hear back "for sure by later today." That doesn't happen. 12/6 morning--He texts, "we are just waiting on a confirmation for something to lock in a date" and "you will definitely have a date today." It doesn't happen. 12/7 (today)--Since they haven't held up their end, I'm reposting the review I never should've taken down. Being able to provide 100+ meals for kids swayed me, but I'd rather refund their donation than ever deal with them again. I will personally donate $300 to my son's charity to make up for the loss of the 100+ meals.
