The best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had! My fiance gets them at the Lakeline farmers market on Saturdays and they are amazing. Huge and tons of chocolate...warm them a bit and add a different touch. I've shared them with several friends and everyone agrees, they're the best.

Not leaving a crumb. Can use as dumbbells before eating!

Went to an Austin Farmers Market. Partner bought me "The Perfect Cookie" but it was not even close to TeddyV. My two pack cost less than that pack, weighed so much more, and was the great cookie of dreams. Ate one and was full for a day. The other I saved for last. It was the same amazingness. Thanks for helping me recover from an imPerfect Cookie!! Lately I am far less into chocolate cookies, have moved savory. But all I can say is I am glad I don't live in Austin as I would gain too much. But any time I pass you know I will want your perfect (and huge and heave and wonderful) cookie!

Best cookie in the universe! It's so full of chocolate chips but you can still taste the buttery cookie. I was linked to Elisia's account on Instagram and after a year of following I was finally able to make it to Austin to try them. I can say the cookies alone were worth the two hour drive. So glad she's stocking central markets with these as well. Now I can enjoy them whenever I want but I'll surely grab a few freshly baked ones the next time I visit.

I bought this at the farmers market on Sunday at Mueller. Delicious!!! It is huge. 2cookies came in the package. I ate one cookie over 4 days. I did heat them up and they were so ooey gooey chocolatety . Loved every bite. Since they are so huge I think the price is good. I would recommend trying them out. I will get them again when I go back to the farmers market

THE best chocolate chip cookies in Austin. Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5 I love picking these cookies up at the Mueller Farmers Market. They sell out super quick, make sure to get there early. The cookies are huge! The flavor, is even bigger! I think each cookie has over 100 chocolate chips, and probably weighs a pound. All of my friends love them, I always share...one cookie.

Finally got to try the much raved about teddy V cookies at the farmers market! I think we paid about 9$ for two cookies. Sadly they only sell them by the pairs, was hoping to try different flavors if I had to buy more than one. Being a huge fan of Levain bakery cookies, I had my expectations high for teddy v because the person mending the stall said that was their inspiration. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid cookie, but it's not Levain. The huge difference is that Levain uses chocolate chunk, while teddy V uses chocolate chips. And the result is very different. Having said that, the cookie was still good, soft and sweet, and had a generous amount of chocolate chips. Would recommend sharing so you don't get a toothache!

One of the cookies reheated at home, per the instructions on the bag. You can't even tell it's been reheated. Tastes so fresh and delicious!

Ok... so these cookies stole my heart a while back and I'm still head over heels for them! These cookies are thicc! You would expect them to be cakey because of how big they are, but nooo. They're the most moist and delicious gooey cookies I've ever had. Catch her at a pop-up or one of the farmers' markets (for me it's usually Lakeline). You HAVE to try these. Trust me. Do it. Pro tip: follow the instructions on the bag to reheat these at home in your oven. It's 1000% worth it. If you just can't wait to devour one (totally understandable), buy a 2-pack and save the other one for later at home. ;)

THIS COOKIE WAS MASSIVE but oh so delicious. I didn't even have to what it up because the Texas heat (this was this summer) warmed it up for me! I was so excited to see she had a table at the farmer's market! The owner is so sweet and her cookies are AH-MAZING! Go get some!! You'll die for more

My first thought was when Nabisco buys her out, I hope they don’t screw with her recipe. We’ll see.

I take chocolate chip cookies pretty seriously, and this is one amazing chocolate chip cookie. It'll cost you $5 for one or $8 for two, and you can have them with or without walnuts. I could end this review right here. But that'd be too easy: At the moment it appears they're available only at the Lakeline farmer's market on Saturday, and the one at Mueller on Sunday. But I found them at a Nordstrom pop up that was listed on the Teddy V website. Incidentally, Chef Elisia is a delightful person, and Teddy V is her dog. If I lived with someone who made chocolate chip cookies like these everyday, I'd learn to sit up and do a few tricks too.

It all started when my roommates went to the farmer's market and came home with these cookies. I saw it sitting on the kitchen table and immediately looked up Teddy V. on instagram and then drove to the farmer's market. Blessed that I was, she wasn't sold out! That's the day the love affair began with these cookies. Not only is Elisia (owner of Teddy V) the nicest and most humble person I've ever met, but she is a kick butt baker. These cookies will change your standards of chocolate chip cookies, but heads up, you'll never meet another cookie like this. Worth the money, worth the wait. Follow her on instagram because that's where she posts her schedule, giveaways, etc!

While both desserts were beautifully presented, I felt they were overpriced for their size. Based on similar desserts I've enjoyed elsewhere, I think a more reasonable price would be around $9.99 for the blueberry and $12.99 for the pistachio. The pistachio dessert had a pleasant crunchy texture, but the pistachio flavor was too subtle and could have been much more pronounced. The blueberry dessert had excellent flavor, but it lacked the crisp outer shell that adds contrast to the texture. It seemed like it may not have been as fresh as it should have been, which could explain the softer exterior. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. Overall, while the presentation and service were impressive, I expected better value and texture for the price.

OMG...their desserts are enough to cause a sane person some degree of cognitive dissonance! Decisions, decisions, decisions, etc. During my visit, I observed a wide variety of baked goods; specifically, the chocolate chip and salty oat cookies are particularly popular. Although I typically prefer cookies with nuts, I purchased several sugar cookies in unique shapes and colors for the hubs, who is the resident "cookie monster". I also selected a piece of key lime pie for myself, following my dessert ritual of consuming it over three days. Quack's serves as a neighborhood gathering spot, with a relaxed atmosphere that attracts regular customers, students, and groups of friends. The bakery was inviting, and embodies the qualities expected from a local neighborhood bakery. While I went to the bakery just to look around, I got sucked in their bakery vortex...in a very good way.

I've driven by this place 100's of times and today I to finally decided to stop by and try it! The parking lot was empty but it was 3:00pm on a Thursday so it made sense. There's an empty lot next door for parking as well as some street parking, but both are pretty limited and hard to come by. If you can Uber, I recommend it. The outdoor tent setup is really pretty and feels like a romantic date night and the main dining experience, while the inside is much more basic, but air conditioned. We were seated indoors which was good since it had just rained and the weather was quite muggy. Our unfriendly waiter (so French) came over right away to take drink orders. Our group consisted of one beer drinker, one cocktail sipper, one soda guzzler and one water drinker. The drinks were very good. For appetizers we started with the grilled octopus and escargots, both of which were delicious and the stars of the meal. For entrees two of us ordered the steak frites, also ordered bolognese, and côte de porc. Nothing was bad at all, but nothing really stood out either. For dessert we tried the crème brûlée and chocolate ganache, which were fine to finish the meal. If you go, definitely get the grilled Spanish octopus, that was the standout dish for me. For a party of four, our bill came out to $360 plus the tip. I'm glad I finally tried it, but with the higher prices and kind of average food, I don't feel a strong urge to come back anytime soon. Maybe in good weather I would uber over for some drinks and great appetizers.

You don't have to be French to hate Justine's…read more Too bad to have to leave this clip joint even one star. Wait! I give it one star for the amazing gall to offer this offal up as French food! And for rolling their eyes, and their practiced Gallic condescension. Austin used to have a couple of decent French restaurant/bistros: Chez Nous was run by people from Marseilles, and Chamonix, and other parts of France. It didn't compare to French restaurants in France, but it was a decent value, and it was way better than nothing. Fabi & Rosi was probably more German than French, but with a good Euro mentality. Both Fabi & Rosi and Chez Nous died in the Covid plague. The best French resto in Austin by far was Aquarelle, which when it opened had a skilled chef in the kitchen from Aix-en-Provence. Austin probably wasn't ready for real French food at the time, and it quietly folded a few years ago. That brings us to Justine's: when it opened ca. 2009, it was a good value. The escargots were good, the onion soup was good, they served Delice de Bourgogne cheese, and the bread was good enough to mop up the garlic butter sauce. The other offerings were always meh, and the place was loud enough to remove the enamel from your teeth. I had skipped it for a few years until I got back from a trip to France, and wanted a nice French dinner. So I chose to return to Justine's. The crime and the pity of this place is that it is owned and operated by French people, and they know real French food, and they are deliberately abusing the public with their food, service, and prices. Americans generally associate French dining with arrogance, condescension. and laughable price points: if that's your expectation, then Welcome To Justine's! We ordered the radishes served with butter as an appetizer, which was not served with bread--which is sort of the whole point of eating radishes and butter. When we pointed this out, they charged us $5.00 for a half-baguette of bread to go with. Their bread! Their bread! Oo-la-la! Every French or Italian person knows that bread is firm and crusty on the outside and pillowy and delectable on the inside. What we got was the usual squishy, spongy stuff they sell at Walmart (not to cast aspersions on Walmart). THESE PEOPLE KNOW BETTER than to serve bread like this, and at this price! The rest of the meal was downhill--and EXPENSIVE, laughably overpriced, like the stereotypical snotty French dining experience. Before you eat here, do yourself the favor of reading the plethora of one-star reviews before submitting your own. And while we're here, the local food critics LOVE this place--has anybody writing these reviews ever been to France? Or Quebec? So many good restos in Austin have died, ill-served and neglected by the local 'food experts'. Let the buyer....wait: QUE L'ACHETEUR SOIT PRUDENT! THAT'S as close to France as you'll get with THIS joint.
