Popped in before my appointment nearby- I am so impressed. Super clean, cozy vibes, with the friendliest service I've had in a while! The pastries all looked amazing, but today I got the strawberry danish with FRESH strawberries in top- sooo good!

Sooooo Delicious we had a couple cookies and the best lemon bar I've ever had! We just happened upon this bakery and it's so cute inside and out! The customer service was great. Super friendly and nice! we want to come back one morning a tad earlier to see the rest of the options. So good!!

I lucked out when I realized this was located on the walking route from my wax/sugar salon to my labs & haircut places. I had just read on Reddit a couple days prior that this was recommended as an alternative to another Austin bakery. When I walked in I was surprised to find many older individuals sitting and chatting, so I thought there might be some kind of event. But it's probably just the demographics of the neighborhood! Based on the decor I can tell they're not trying to be a "trendy" bakery and remain true to their identity as a neighborhood business. They still had a good number of pastries available but I did get the last strawberry danish of the day (pictured). I also got the almond croissant. Their pre-made bread loaves all looked appetizing as well. I thought both pastries had good texture but could have used more filling/flavoring.

    Enjoy the outdoor patio!

This Austin icon of 40+ years has THE best cookies (the Black Gold was mighty tasty) and other tantalizing breads and cakes which are worth the drive. Wash it down with coffee, lemonades and enjoy the "Keep Austin Weird" vibe on the patio!

Regular coffee, around $5. pretty good

Came on a Saturday late afternoon, and they were still quite busy! This is a chill neighborhood spot serving all sorts of desserts, drinks, and teas. They also have plenty of seating, so a great place if you're looking to study or meet up with some friends. Parking can be a little difficult at times, but they do have a designated lot that does extent to the back of the shop. Regular coffee (pretty standard, but pretty good) -around $5 a cup of coffee. Not too upset by that considering that Starbucks charges about the same price. -great seating, fun, decor, and plenty of round tables to sit around and chat Overall, definitely recommend this neighborhood spot! Will definitely be back to try out their banana cream pie. That thick slice looked absolutely delicious.

Upper Crust Bakery along Burnet has become my go-to when I'm craving the classic combination of pastries/baked goods with coffee! I've been here about 3 times and the service is always great, with friendly and attentive staff. All the available pastries, cakes, muffins, etc. are on display and you order at the counter. Good amount of indoor seating, and the tables are spread out enough that it doesn't feel crowded. For parking, there's parking along the side and around the back - this most recent visit, we were able to find a spot without issue but sometimes it can get a bit crowded. Cinnamon Roll (5/5) - A must try at Upper Crust! They run out later in the day, so would recommend going in the morning to snag one (or two). - Nice and buttery, just the right amount of sweetness. Latte (5/5) - Classic latte, no complaints here! Usually get mine with one shot of espresso. Coconut Cream Pie, slice (3.5/5) - Tons of coconut if you're a fan of that! Also a great option to share with others - A tad on the sweeter side, with slightly dry crust Texas Croissant (3/5) - Features Monterey Jack cheese & jalapeños - Decent savory option, but not too memorable Apple Danish (4/5) - Sweet and flaky, with nice texture to the filling All in all, lots of variety, solid flavors, and good service! Great place to meet-up and chat over pastries and coffee. Will definitely be coming back and trying out some of the other items on the menu!

Very quaint bakery with quality ingredients. I had the bacon quiche ... absolutely delightful. You really can't go wrong here.

Tried both a chocolate cake and a strawberry gâteau cake as well as a cinnamon roll. The gateau was amazing and very different from the chocolate cake. Honestly, the chocolate cake was decent, but it tasted like any grocery store could have made it. The cinnamon roll was less doughy and more flaky but buttery and delicious. There is an ordering line and a pickup line (right side) inside.

I've ordered so many cakes from Upper Crust over the years, and even though it's not exactly close to me, I don't care, it's freaking delicious! My family goes crazy for the chocolate Italian cream cake. It's super moist, a little thick (in the best way), with layers of coconut and pecans with the most amazing chocolate cream cheese icing. Their carrot cake is also fantastic, my personal favorite, especially for Easter!

aaaaaand I'm back for more. The sausage puff is the perfect savory pastry to enjoy here. The sausage itself is hearty and salty, very filling and satisfying. Next time, I might ask for it to be heated a bit longer so it's served hotter. The pastry wraps around the sausage beautifully, with a golden exterior that has a nice crunch, while the inside remains tender with just the right amount of chew. Gingerbread cookies are a longtime favorite of mine, and I was excited to finally try it here. I love that it is truly gingerbread and not a ginger snap. The soft texture pairs perfectly with the warm, spiced flavor. I would happily eat this any time of year, but I can only imagine how cozy it would feel to have one with a hot drink on a chilly winter day.

So many options here! Love that the cinnamon rolls are huge! Definitely recommend these! Super fluffy and great cinnamon flavor without being overpowering. The chocolate croissant was lacking chocolate. The mushroom quiche was divine - definitely get it warmed up. Great spot to come on a weekend morning!

Our server was so sweet and kind including suggesting some of the shop's favorites. OMG the ice cream was so smooth...so flavorful...so absolutely delicious to eat. I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. There can be a line on the weekends and they tend to sell out so keep that in mind. The staff is friendly and service is quick!

When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. Next note- I feel like this is a low key meet up spot. Like the way they tried to make the first train cars on the MTA the singles car? There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. With the little IG ready love seats and doughnuts made for sharing, you could walk away with extra sugar.

Even so, the ambience seems like the decorations were cute, but very cheap and damaged overtime with little to no repairs. But I didn't come here for aesthetics. I came here for great Boba tea and sweet treats. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. The soufflé pancakes were fine, but the ice cream was terrible on that too. It's hard to mess up Ice Cream, but somehow they managed.
