Bought a variety of bread, cashier forgot to take off 10% on an item, I didn't bother to get a refund but I did let them know so they are aware and hopefully prevent it to happen again. On my way home, I decided to check my bag, they forgot to include the slice of cake I paid for and I had to go back. I came in here today excited to get a sea salt iced coffee. I did not expect to walk out feeling like crap. This is a review based on my interaction with the worker there today. I ordered a sea salt iced coffee which is $3.70 but she accidentally charged me for a sea salt caramel which is $4.10. I didn't realize it until I read my receipt which said caramel on it. So as she was preparing my drink I double checked with her that I ordered a regular sea salt coffee. That's when I looked at the menu and realized that there's a price difference and she charged me for the caramel drink. I thought to myself, "do I bring up how to go about getting reimbursed? Is it even worth it just for $0.40?" I figured it's still important to bring up since she didn't even apologize for getting the order wrong. As a paying customer, I think it's right for the cashier to admit to mistake and at least give an apology. But she didn't even acknowledge the mistake, she just made the drink and expected me to leave. She was about to ring up the next guest like it's no big deal. And when I confronted her about the reimbursement, she looked at me with attitude and said something like uh I don't even know how to do that. And she said she could charge me for the sea salt coffee and that she'll cancel the caramel order, but that it would appear as a double charge on my credit card for a couple days or something. I figured it's not worth it to go through this hassle. I know it's Covid time. We're all going through tough situations personally, emotionally, mentally, etc. She might be going through something that's making her have a crummy attitude. But I was really taken aback by this interaction today. It would've just been a much better interaction if she checked her attitude at the door and apologized for charging me for the wrong drink. In the end, it's not about the $0.40 but it's about how a little attitude adjustment can make or break someone's day. I hope her days look brighter ahead. read more

This location was probably the worst that I've ever been. The people that work here were extremely apathetic. Drinks were sloppily made. Contents of the drink ran down the side of the cups, which made it very messy and sticky. I ordered 4 drinks and each drink was thrown into a bag. I absolutely love this place as I stop by here quite often to get bread for everyone at work. I usually get a sea salt coffee which is BOMB! It has just enough of the sea salt to make it almost a morning dessert. Drool... I usually get 10 savory and 10 sweet breads for my coworkers so they can choose from a variety. The quality of these exquisite breads are seriously a masterpiece. Every bread has its own unique taste and there are a lot of selections from very sweet to spicy chicken to squid ink to bacon on garlic bread with a hint of salt to just a plain custard bread. My ultimate favorite is the garlic bread and the spinach and kale bread. The Glendale location is clean and the service is always on point! I will be back to my local bakery. :) read more

Every time I am in the area, I can't help but to stop by for my decaf iced caramel macchiato with boba. One of the best drinks I've ever tasted and the boba is just a plus. Must try! I'm just so happy that they have more locations now and that I don't have to wait hours in line anymore! I always go back for their berrytale and jasmine green milk tea. It's good cause there's not a lot of boba places around the area. Their seasalt drinks are a must try! If you're looking for something refreshing, get the strawberry lemonade or lemon iced tea. For savory breads, I love their bacon bread and cheese dog. For dessert breads, berrytale and sugared cream cheese brioche. I went for grand opening and there was a huge line outside because they were having 10 cents Seasalt coffee. I got Nancy manager lead or whoever she claimed to be on cashier taking my order. She refused to add sea salt my milk tea, and the way she answer me that there is no rule for adding sea salt on top of milk tea is rude. I have been purchased milk tea with sea salt for ages, even in pasadena store they also added for me and there is no problem until her. This is an amazing spot for great boba drinks. They put a good amount of boba and there are many of teas, smoothies, and milk teas to chose from. I also enjoy the lychee with their tea. There also is a bakery section with a wide variety of savory and sweet options. The puff pastries are to die for. The sweets are a little on the pricier side but totally worth it. FRESH BREAD! Those are the 2 magic words in this place! Whatever it is, even if you hadn't ever tried it, if you hear someone make the announcement of fresh bread, get one! Try it! I bet you will be pleasantly surprised. I know that there are a number of things that I have yet to try but so far, everything that I have had was delish! The cheese bread is filled with cream cheese. The cranberry bread, small ones, not the loaves, they are also filled with cream cheese. There are a few buns that are filled with taro/ube, fresh cream, custard, etc. One of my current faves is their apple almond pastry. It's fluffy bread on the outside with sprinkled nuts. On the inside is some custard and apples in a cinnamon glaze. It's so light and so tasty! I bought some other fresh items during my last visit: cookie bread, vanilla chiffon cake, 85 degrees baked egg tart, a jumbo coconut strudel, a chocolate chip loaf and a few other items I can't recall the names of. The cookie bread was good. The bread had a mild chocolate flavor to it and the top is what really makes it. It's like the bread has a crushed Oreo cookie shell on top of it. Yum! My Mom loved the breads. I think she had a mushroom twist and a half of the coconut strudel. She said they were both so good. I'm glad. I enjoy picking my own baked goods. I hate to see customers argue over them though. They cause such a scene and they tend to be pretty immature about the whole thing. The prices are just right. I was able to find metered parking outside today. Yay! I ordered a tea but the bar made it incorrectly. Oops! Mistake! Graciously, the barista allowed me to keep the mistake as they made me the correct beverage. Thanks! This is definitely a good location and worth every freshly baked penny! It can feel overwhelming since their selection is so large (with unique pastries like rose cheese bread and egg tarts)! They provide you with a tray to put your goods on -- We filled ours to the brim AND got a caramel milk tea (also delicious) and only paid $15. Great prices, great food, and the service is always incredibly fast (I've almost always had my drink order finished within a minute!). Every Monday, I come in for an order of 4 large sea salt coffees. Why? Because currently, they have a deal where sea salt coffees (any size) are 85 CENTS. You're limited to 4, so I get 4 and save them in the fridge for my workweek. It's an amazing deal and I have no idea how long it'll be around, but you better believe I'll be there every Monday until that sad day comes. The sea salt coffee, normally around $4, comes lightly sweetened and topped with their delicious salted cream. If you haven't had it before, I highly recommend it! Try pulling your straw up and drinking the coffee through the cream first to really taste it, and then mix it all up. I usually get mine w/o sugar or half-sweet, though the regular sweetness level isn't overwhelming. I have to hold myself back from going all out and buying a mountain of pastries/buns each week, but I usually sneak in at least 1. For savory buns, I love any of their cheese breads, especially the hot dog buns. For sweet ones, the Berrytale is a must-try. It's a large bun filled with blueberry jam and cream cheese. Most options are $1-2 and filling, and they're characteristically fluffy and not-too-sweet like any good Asian bakery. Overall, this 85C location is great. They have a couple deals and promotions going on right now in addition to Coffee Monday (likely because they're relatively new), so I recommend heading over. Parking is available either in metered spots out front or, if you're willing to walk a little, for free in the garage behind. read more

Always busy here! I've been coming almost every Monday because the sea salt coffee is too good of a deal to pass up and is perfect before my night class. I haven't experienced much of their pastries and bread options but I hear good stuff from certain options. One thing about this place is that it's in a popular area so expect a wait when ordering drinks or pastries. Other than that, the staff tries to push through orders as fast as possible which is good unlike the Alhambra location where they look like they hate their life. I'll be back! This one is on Brand Street and Wilson in Glendale. They have some nice little pastries but I came for their delicious coffee. It was hot like their name delivers so I sat by the window and did a little people watching out the window. It was just after lunch so they were a lil light on sugar and creamer which gave me time to acquire some from the counter people as I waited for my coffee to cool down just a little.
