Went specifically for Spurs themed donuts in the welcoming of Wembanyama and just like that they sold out quick at the 10 o'clock hour! That's ok, we still had other goodies so it wasn't a blank trip. But Amelia can through - she told me there was a batch of the Spurs colored donuts coming out, so I waited. Repeat customer here!

Awesome fresh baked sueet bread!! I come early to snatch up the fresh baked goods for my coworkers. The trays are always full and keep coming from back ready to go! Be here early to get special or seasonal items, early bird gets the worm. They even offer a military discount, Thank you! Been coming here for years & never any complaints. Great job Panifico!

The first selection I ever got during the World Cup. Great cookies!

I've been here a bunch of times. Started coming during the World Cup. Always happy with the selections of goodies. My daughter, (she & her love are my "unicorns"), living in The Netherlands, is pregnant with my first granddaughter. So, we are having a virtual baby shower here back home for her. We call the baby a little mermaid. So, when Panifico Bake Shop started having mermaid & unicorn goodies I knew I'd have to have them for the shower. Today I got a great little pack of unicorn & mermaid goodies to try out. Can't wait. I can't ever eat all the goodies in a day. So, I can say with all honesty, after refrigerating the goodies, they're still good a day or two later. The staff is always sweet & helpful.

The con has were very dry and lacked flavor. I also got some very small cookies and they were almost $3 each! The normal round ones were 80 cents but because I got 2 shaped like hearts they price gauged me. I will never go back. All show and no quality.

These pastries taste just like they do in Mexico. Authentic fresh and delicious. Please try the cookies (not pictured) they are to die for.

    It's so pretty!

Magical. Stupendous. Fantastic. In the Valley, one of my favorite things was to go with my dad to the local panaderia and pick out conchas, rainbow sprinkled cookies, marranitos, etc. Panifico recaptures that magic and adds even more with their special treats like the unicorn concha, unicorn donuts, and my personal favorite, the galaxy donuts. The flavors are great, it reminds me exactly of home. You want to dunk it all in coffee and spend your afternoon discussing the latest chisme with your tias. The staff is incredibly helpful and patient. I usually take a few minutes to stand in wonder with my tongs before selecting my pastries. Prices? You're not going to find pan dulce of this quality for as cheap as this (again, unless you're in the Valley). They also sell their tortillas in-store! How do you like them apples? They also have a very easy to use ordering system online, so I was able to purchase unicorn conchas to take to work last year. Everyone got a kick out of the beautiful colors. Leftovers were taken home and made into Concha Burgers. It was worth getting up extra early and driving over there when some unicorn donuts and galaxy donuts came out. They're absolutely stunning and photogenic, and I hope to one day pick up more. This panaderia's special items sell out FAST though, so either order ahead or get there as soon as it opens to nab your colorful goodies.

If your social media account is packed with gorgeous photos of uni-conchas, galaxy donuts, and colorful pan dulce, I expect to actually find that in store. Unfortunately, the selection here when I visited was comprised entirely of traditional Mexican bakery stock, aside from a lone tray of glazed Spurs donuts, which may have only been available because they played the night before. Even the pan dulce were only available in yellow frosting. I was surprised and not in a pleasant way. Even of the traditional options, only pineapple empandas were in stock, and this was going in the morning when selection should be best. Don't get me wrong, the treats I got were tasty, particularly the super-moist breakfast muffins with pecans. But their online presence creates an expectation they do not fulfill. Maybe the items they feature online are limited-run specials, but that needs to be clear because right now it's more like misrepresentation. TIP: If you're familiar with the area then you already know not to expect the staff to speak English. They are very polite though. Take cash or spend +$5 to use a card.

All these treats (plus a few outta frame) for $7&change *0*

Panifico is a GEM. After months of seeing posts featuring their Uniconchas, galaxy donuts, and Spurs themed donuts, I finally made the trek out. I expected to fall into a hip lil shop like most of the others that boast treats with a similar aesthetic, but we would up at a super unassuming shop on the far West side. Stepping in, it looked like most other panaderias except for some sparse décor. There was a nice backdrop of paper flowers would've made for a cute photo op were it not so crowded and a huge unicorn tube blown up to celebrate the magical donuts in special that weekend. We grabbed a set of tongs and a tray from the entrance and started picking out all our treats, what was initially a mission for a couple donuts wound up as a piled with a half dozen, a couple of their Uniconchas, and tonsSs of the various cookies all over the store. I was dreading the price tag cashing out but what was essentially a pizza tray full of treats only came out to about $7 and change!!! During our ten or so minutes in the store we saw countless trays of fresh baked treats being brought out from the kitchen and peeking in, everything looked so spotless. Now the most important part, how did it taste? In short, fantastic. Literally no complaints and the galaxy donuts may be some of the best I've had anywhere. The shop is about a 25 minute drive from my place on the NE side but I foresee a lot of visits in the future.

Array of pastries- all for less than $7

They had a big selection even though some of their shelves were empty. The woman at the register (the only employee present when I went) was not very friendly; when to her that I didn't know any of the pastries and asked which were the most preferred by the general public and which she suggested she simply remarked that they all sell out and that different people like different things, respectively. I also asked about several of the pastries (since they did not all have visible or descriptive signs) and she was aloof overall. I ended up choosing a large array which totaled to less than $7 which is a good price. Unfortunately I do not know the name of all in order to post individual comments for all but most were a lot milder than expected (were inly mildly sweet). -pecan cookie: tasted like a basic cookie, did not taste the pecans. Would pass. -tres leches cookie: good. Recommend. -cheese filled crystal sugar topped pastry: one of my top two. Tastes like butter cookies with cream cheese filling. Recommend. -bread pudding: the other of my top two. Not too sweet but very thick and filling. Recommend. -chocolate cake: the topping/frosting was way too sweet for my liking, I ended up peeling it off and tossing. The cake is your standard chocolate cake. This is my first time having Mexican pastries so I cannot comment as to how authentic they are and how they taste compared to most. All I can say is that I was not a fan of most the pastries due to the very mild flavors and mostly bready consistency.

There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.

All three pastries seemed a bit dry to me and didn't live up to the hype. I also tried their brunch offerings, which were good but nothing particularly memorable. On a positive note, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, respectful, and welcoming. The ambiance was casual and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to visit overall.
