I was told that the bread was being moved to the front and that someone would assist me there. While I waited, two other groups entered after me. They heard the same information and ended up being helped before I was, despite the employees knowing that I had been waiting first. I politely asked twice for assistance and was told to continue waiting while the other groups were served. What made the situation more frustrating was that the customers ahead of me were taking a long time deciding what they wanted. I had already put on a plastic glove and was prepared to select my own bread, but I was told that wasn't necessary because an employee would help me. While waiting, I witnessed one of the teenagers from a group point directly at the bread, and another teenager pushed their hand into it. This happened in front of the employees, and no one addressed the situation or reminded them not to touch the food. As someone who was trying to follow proper sanitation practices, I found this very concerning. Not only did this happened once but 2,3 times infront of them. Yet nothing was addressed. After being ignored, waiting while others were served ahead of me, and seeing unsanitary behavior go unaddressed, I decided to leave without making a purchase. I was disappointed by both the customer service and the lack of attention to food handling standards.

They have everything from cakes and pastries to breads, and a lot of savory options like pastries with hot dogs, plus sandwiches and salads to go. If I'm being totally honest, the pastries themselves are a bit light and airy for my taste, and they do leave a little bit of an aftertaste. But the sheer variety of sweet and savory delights makes it worth the trip. I had to go inside and see what they havd to offer. The word Ganache alone was enough for me to seek em out. Lo and behold, they had Chocolate Cake with ganache icing inside! It was soft and moist and melted in your mouth! I was in heaven! Finally, a place I knew would supply me with the best chocolate cake worthy of any grand celebration. Unfortunately, after the third and fourth purchase, I noticed that it didn't taste the same as the first time we had it. It wasn't as light as the initial experience. The first was for a St. Patrick's Day party, where I had ordered a tray with 2 pounds of cookies. When I arrived, I noticed that the tray didn't have St. Patrick's Day cookies, just regular cookies. The owner was the one waiting on me, and when I mentioned this to him he apologized immediately, said there must've been a miscommunication, and asked me if I could wait five or 10 minutes and they'd make a brand new tray for me. It probably would've been okay if I took the original tray, but I knew our group really wanted St. Patrick's Day themed desserts for this party of about 40 people. So I said sure I could wait, and the tray they put together was absolutely beautiful. Besides the cookies, it also included some little plastic St. Patrick's Day themed rings and other decorations. Fast forward to last week, when I was tasked with bringing the dessert for a monthly board meeting. I called and again spoke with the owner, and explained what I needed. I thought it would be fun to bring some holiday-themed items, and I had seen a picture of their Yule logs on their website, so I inquired about those. We chatted about it, he asked me the type of cake and filling, I also ordered a 1 pound box of cookies and a gluten-free cupcake for one of our members, and I picked them up before the meeting two days later. Everything was absolutely perfect. Their Yule logs are beautiful - mine looked exactly like the picture on their website - and again there were little rings and other decorations on it. One of the other board members was so impressed with it that she immediately said she was ordering her own for the holidays and took several pictures of it, and everyone asked me what bakery I used. Oh, and the cookies and cupcake were great, too! I have a feeling they'll be getting some more business from our group from this for sure, as they should!
