Mom of 2 boys whose life goals is to be pokemon card trainers. Needless to say I have no clue what I'm pouring my life savings into. The folks here has helped my boys learn so much and one even joined their first pre release event. My 8 year old said it was the best day of his life. The team here makes my future card collectors feel like a million bucks and helps guide this poor mom through it all. They are so welcoming and so kind to my two little tornadoes. Went in a few months ago to sell my old yu gi oh collection. Mind you.. childhood cards + cards I collected up until HS / college that were in sleeves \ binders. Still old, but not worthless. I tell the people at the front what they could offer me since I was trying to make $ for my kids bday. First offer was "8". I go, wow $800 is pretty solid. He says $8. At this moment I know the workers saw how pissed off my face was because the vibe switched. Tried to tell me that my cards were not worth anything because of bending and they're old. After about 10min and telling them I'm leaving. They offered me $80 and a stuffy for my daughter. I go whatever, fine. I was already in need of the $ and sick of the experience. Thank god I kept some of the cards they tried to scam me, because for example one was a 1st edition Exodia that graded at a 8 and a 1st edition blue eyes that graded 9. Do what you want with this information, but I'm tired of scam culture. Made some friends in the past few months and they told me this place really fucked me over. Should have done my research more thoroughly, but lesson learned. Shoutout James, I'll always remember your face and that grin you had saying "8" read more

I went there to check out 88 Cardhouse, and was pleasantly surprised by the Pokemon stock they have: English, Japanese products in 1 aisle with few exclusive card sleeves, booster packs, promo packs and etbs. They are reasonably priced in-store. Prices are similar online. Customer service is great here, and they have 5 guys helping customers out here when a flood customers want to trade, buy or sell. Very nice and pleasant staff. The ambiance is great here very casual. Just an awesome card shop in the Tricity. Thank god! There's a pokemon card shop nearby where I live. I will be coming back here for sure! read more

88 Cardhouse is located near NewPark Mall and is a big location. The service was good as we were greeted as soon as we walked in and offered us help in looking for anything specific. They have vast selection of product including Pokemon, Magic, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. They also offer Japanese packs and cards. The prices/value are okay as they are around market but some of the booster boxes are higher than market. They also have a lot of bulk cards for sell and they sell singles priced well. read more
