We went here for breakfast since we were staying at the attached hotel. The place had a train theme; probably because it's close to Union Station. The restaurant appeared clean, and played some subdued rock music. It was basically laid out like a Starbucks or a Panera Bread location in that you order your food at a counter, then sit down and they bring it to you. Except for the drink though. The orange juice I chose to drink was a bottle of Tropicana and my wife had one of their coffees with some cream and sugar from their self-serve counter. Our food took 15-20 minutes to make and serve. My wife told me it was expensive too. It was a total of $57 including tip. My wife normally wouldn't have tipped that much since the service wasn't as much as it is at a regular restaurant, but she felt rushed and got flustered while paying. Before we left the counter, we were given a number to put on the table for when they brought us our food. It was kind of cute attached to a train with working wheels. Both my wife and I ordered the buttermilk pancakes that automatically came with two pieces of thick and crispy bacon. The syrup for the pancakes was a honey crisp apple jam maple syrup. I chose to add two eggs over easy to my order and an orange juice. The pancakes didn't come out as light and fluffy as I like them, but I did like the crispy edges. The bacon was really good and I loved the syrup. It was perfectly sweet and tasty. I was a bit disappointed by the eggs, although the flavor was okay, I had asked for over easy and they were more over medium. My wife liked the pancakes with the syrup and the bacon as well, but didn't have anything else other than her coffee. Even though the food was good, I don't plan on eating there again due to the cost of it.

I'm honestly very impressed by how bad this place is. My friend grabbed us a quick bite from 8th Notch as soon as we arrived in the hotel after our flight. We decided on getting an Italian sandwich from the fridge and a chicken soup. The Italian Sandwich was so dry. It came with a side of chopped pepper and burrata spread that was absolutely flavorless. We couldn't even finish the sandwich. We also got a cup of chicken soup which took forever for them to serve us. Additionally, the soup was so oily. The flavor was also really weird. They had sliced boiled eggs and corn in it which was strange. After drinking it, due to the oil I felt like it was coated on my hands and mouth the whole day and I keep having my to smell that flavor for hours even after brushing my teeth and washing my hands. We ended up grabbing a sandwich from potbelly afterwards which ended up being a much more satisfying lunch. All in all, if you are staying at OMNI just opt to get food from somewhere else.

Great! And they stuck to that- we were seated on time, but then the issues started. We were sat at the same time as another table of 4 next to us. We got our menus and put our drinks in... and then waited, and waited... I got a hot chocolate that wasn't even hot when I sipped it, and tasted pretty bland. My friends got coffees that they liked, but our waitress seemed so annoyed to be working there! She was very curt and I understand if you're busy, but maybe try for some customer service... We ordered our food (as did the table next to us) and waited soooo long, like 30+ minutes, and we were considering flagging down the wait staff to ask about it, but our waitress never seemed to even be around to ask questions... anyway, we finally got the food, and it was tasty, but I just don't think I would bother with this place again.

Enjoyed an awesome fruit smoothie that the owner was kind enough to custom make for me. She used their house lemonade as the base instead of milk with real frozen mixed berries. It was incredibly refreshing and hit the spot! Since I was on a healthy kick I got the Chicken Herb soup (also delicious). I love that it comes with oyster crackers. They have a variety of hot teas and coffee plus pastries so I look forward to coming back. Nice little spot to hang out and eat in if you have time.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

FYI to those who may have a physical handicap the prevents climbing steps, there are 2 sets of steps to enter the building, I didn't see any handicap accessible entry when I went there. The area to order coffee was really small and could comfortably fit about 5 people in the line inside the ordering station. There were places to stand in the foyer to wait as well, but in my opinion even though there is an open space in the foyer you could be potentially blocking someone's walking space since the ordering station is next to the entrance and the seating areas are in the entryway. I ordered their seasonal From the Past Latte w/ matcha and whole milk. They mentioned that the wait time to receive the drink was 10 minutes, which was understandable with how busy they were, but to my surprise I actually received my drink in half that time. The drink tasted great and if I was still in the area I'd go there again. I definitely noticed for such a small space, the staff were efficient and moved quickly to get everyone their correct orders. All of them were very cordial and professional as well, so that was appreciated.

It is an apartment building. I didn't do my research prior but learned that it used to be a psych ward. Kinda cool. I got their seasonal coconut lavender latte and a signature Sammy. The drink was great, the sandwich took way too long to prepare (we're talking 30 minutes, no joke). I was only annoyed bc I was so hungry, other than that- I didn't care about the wait bc I had nowhere to be. Overall- If I was in the neighborhood and craving a yummy coff treat, I'd return- I did really like my drink.
