In these times it's the responsibility of the authorities to enforce the social distancing norms- there were 100's of people crammed in the park like space. With no social distancing and people walking around without masks, we felt unsafe and quickly retraced our steps back to the car and drove away Asap. There was a line out of the door at the canteen and there were quite a few covidiots with no masks. Also there were long lines at the foood trucks with people standing too close to one another. They allow you to bring your own chairs as well, so people were sitting alarmingly close to one another! This was a fun spot to watch the games, have some yummy food and drinks! We hung out in the cantina and played board games while listening to some great Karaoke. The drink selections were top tier and they had a lot of variety to keep anyone coming back. There was only a couple of food trucks so keep that in mind when going there. First time and so far I love it. They have a nice setup with AstroTurf in front of stage area: circles are drawn on turf to remind us to stay social distant. Food trucks (rotating lineup) are on 1 side and canteen is on the other. Beverages are available both outside and in canteen. It is well lit and lots of young families as well as more mature types. We hosted a couples baby shower with family and friends here and the staff were helpful and friendly and made planning and throwing the event very easy. The building is open and bright and they have a great winter catering option (Saint Louis Pizza and wings, who were also great to work with for the event!). Nice entertainment but Margarita's and Bloody Mary's were just plain awful, for a place that does a lot of drinks you would think they can make these two staples, nope! This is a wonderful concept and a nice addition to the St. Louis area, especially while COVID has necessitated outdoor and socially distanced spots. The lawn is artificial grass and painted with circles for families or parties to sit in to ensure social distancing. There are picnic tables but they fill up quickly. You can also bring your own chairs or sit on boulders in a landscaped area. The food trucks are hit or miss, and there are different ones there on different days, even changing between lunch and dinner. We've gone twice for lunch and learned to go early because the lines can get pretty long, especially on weekends. That is my biggest gripe about food trucks. What a fun area to go out with family and friends. There is a canteen with indoor seating and it has many local drinks on tap! The outdoor seating provides multiple options and an area for children to run around. The love music gives me Virginia Beach vibes. I want to love this place but I just don't. The parking situation is AWFUL. They don't have any recycling options. The food trucks always run out of food. There are always kids running around everywhere like it's a playground on recess. It's almost impossible not to get hit by a ball or ran into by a child not paying attention. When they first opened it was great. You could pop by for lunch or dinner and parking was easy and the trucks were great. Since then as time has gone by the trucks are still great, but the parking has become very problematic. I've been by several times during lunch and during dinner hours and there is no available parking on the lot or on the street. I'd love to go to the garden on a regular basis, but if I can't find a place to park anywhere nearby I can't go. I've stopped wasting my time even driving down there. We came to 9 Mile Garden over the weekend for a nice open air dinner with family. Parking is definitely an issue here especially if you have a large vehicle as there are a lot of neighboring businesses that you can't park at but we found a spot a couple blocks away. We came here when they had opened last year and were discouraged by the lack of masking in lines and crowd control. This is definitely no longer an issue. Everyone was masked in lines and groups were spaced out appropriately throughout the venue. It was discouraging how many trucks were out of a lot of their food by 6:30pm but that is no fault of the venue. It did make it hard to find something for a kid to eat. We settled with some Sugarfire Mac and cheese. The Canteen was pretty full so I opted out of getting some drinks. They played Groundhog Day on a big screen which was a fun touch on a Saturday night. read more

The building provides seating, a beverage counter for beers, a few choice cocktails and some non-alcoholic options along with restrooms. Outside seating patio is available on the backside of the building. There's an open space where you are free to set up your own picnic seats and etc along with overside rock shaping that you can sit on. The trucks are lined up along the side which allows for roaming to read their menus. Check website for visiting trucks before you drive over. The parking situation is the one downfall. read more

Where to begin Expensive...... Look at the pics from some previous reviews. $14 for 2 eggrolls, or a burger or chicken sandwich? Sadly the spud truck with $12-$15 loaded baked potatos (weighing multiple pounds) is the winner for most food/serving. Then reality hits- its a $14 baked potato. Add a side or sample several trucks and you are quickly in sit down full service restaurant price range. Some trucks are tax inclusive, some aren't. The difference adds up quickly. Then to make things more confusing, instead of getting a water or soda with your oder you get to walk across the property to the cantina to get something to drink. Somehow $7-10 beers(not tax inclusive) and collecting a commission on the truck sales isnt enough to support the business model. They instead have to mafioso water and soda sales, forbidding the trucks from selling either. And if you happen bring an outside water bottle/soda/baby bottle/juice box they send out the goombas to kick you off the property. Combine that with unresponsive management, rude employees, poorly maintained website (tells you everything but what trucks are there any given day) and disregard for the current pandemic by promoting (also overpriced) social events, and its simply not worth it. read more

There is a large open astroturf lawn for picnicking and a stage for entertainment, there are large circles marked out for proper social distancing... there are also tables, but these were reserved seating for a special event. The trucks when I arrived were eclectic and catered to a wide variety of tastes... (Burgers/cheese/Cuban) however, when I went... the vegetarian options were few... the non-vegetarians in my party chose the "Full Moon Burger" Truck, This truck looks like it has seen better days... however the chicken tacos were reported to be "Fantastic" and delicious, Other members of my group chose the "Cheese Shack" Truck which provided some pulled pork and cheese smothered tater tots... that were reported to be very good and disappeared quickly. I attempted to get vegetarian fare from a Cuban Themed Truck that I never got the name of... I was told their entire menu was not available because they were holding back for the night's special event... Overall the wait times were insanely long... the lines were long, service times even longer and the prices are far too high... $10 for three soft tacos, but you aren't really here for the food... this is an experience and a return to socialization... If you like dogs... bring yours... everyone else did... I enjoyed this... if you are not a dog person... stay home... This is fun, social, and family-friendly... be advised NONE of the trucks sell beverages... you buy those from the garden... there is a bar on-site and I found it clean, fun, and not too crowded. if you want to while away an afternoon or an evening and want to be outside... come on down... movie nights also happen regularly...
