For San Clemente, solid ramen. Great service! We just moved here from Irvine so it's hard to compare to the plethora of insane ramen but def 4 stars for all the way down here in paradise. Noodles needed more chew, broth was solid but needed more time with the bones but very solid. We'll be back.

The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, and the service was great. Absolutely delicious ramen! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The pork belly was tender and packed with flavor, the soft-boiled egg was cooked perfectly, and all the toppings were fresh and complemented the bowl so well. The portion size was generous, and every bite was satisfying. Definitely one of the best ramen bowls I've had, and I'll be coming back again! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, comforting ramen.

Everything was really good the Ramen are amazing! The only problem is that they only give you half an egg (boiled) then you have to pay extra for the soup base because they don't give you a lot and the amount of noodles is actually good portion! Overall everything was really good and the service was good the ambiance was nice and comfortable!

Nice hearty vegan bowl with Broccoli, ramen, sprouts, tofu, mushroom broth. Plenty of seating, good upbeat music in background, friendly staff. I did enjoy the complimentary hot green tea. Overall good ramen just a bit pricier ($18.50) than most places I've been.

it's been a while since I've had ramen but I do love it. It was a kind of colder day and me and a friend decided to go and it was A GREAT DECISION!!! I've never had this spot before and I know I will be BACK!!! it was DELICIOUS with so much yummy flavor. Now that it's getting colder, this spot is a MUST!!!!!

This place is so yummy! Came with a group of friends after a day at the sandy beach nearby. We were a party of eight, there's a long table that was able to accommodate us all. Tiny free parking lot. The male server was super sweet and helpful. The female server seemed annoyed when asked to bring extra napkins etc. She asked us if we needed anything else, implying like tell me everything at once so I don't have to keep coming back. There was only one other table at the restaurant at the time, so it wasn't like it was busy. She was just standing by the register, but I suppose if you had to make multiple trips a few steps away, it could burdensome. She wasn't friendly. She should be more positive, higher energy and be grateful to be by the beach with beautiful weather. The ramen here is so good! Got the spicy sesame- highly recommend it. The lucky cat white ale is light and refreshing- get it. Comes in a can. Also tried gyoza, edamame, curry, buns and tonkatsu ramen. Everything tasted excellent. Surprised it wasn't packed. Very low key hole in the wall place.

Good ramen and perfect portions! Not so massive that you can barely eat half. Friendly service and quiet little spot. Garlic tonkatsu pork is delicious- tastes like tender pork belly.

Funny story - I had recco'd this location to a co-worker before even coming here based off the menu descriptions. Coworker has returned on a bi-weekly basis since the intro so I figured, maybe it's time we give it a try as well. Husband and I took a week off during Memorial Weekend, which gave us some flexibility and time to venture a bit further down to San Clemente. We arrived before they opened since we were unfamiliar with the area and parking was easy. They have a small private lot and shares the space with a laundromat, but they also have street parking in the residential street if busy. They have more than just ramen. They have curry, cold noodles, and other side dishes like takoyaki, gyoza, rice bowls and pork buns. However, we intentionally made our way here for ramen and we both got the Tonkotsu Ramen. At first I thought the portion was small upon first glance, but it was quite filling. The tonkotsu ramen is pork broth topped with bean sprouts, green onion, soft boiled egg, spinach, seaweed and pork chashu. We asked for no green onions in ours. The broth was milky, flavorful and balanced with light salt. The noodles are a bit thicker, but there's a nice bouncy chew to them. Chashu was tender and not too fatty. I wouldn't mind returning here, but it's a little further away to be folded in for a weekly rotation. I am curious to try their dipping noodles and other ramen flavors. I hear the garlic one is amazing, so I'll give it a try next time.

First visit despite living in SC for a while - glad we finally made a stop. Based on the one dish we had - vegetarian ramen with mushroom based broth - it's a solid three stars. But the service is great and the vibe is very chill, so 4 stars is more accurate. The only complaint we had is that the veggie ramen had some odd items in it like bell pepper. And that was a minor complaint at best. The broth was just spicy enough and the portions were perfect. The dine in has a Hawaiian family style setup with the center of the room featuring a very large table to share with other diners. Something that I think more places need to have in order to foster a sense of community. If you are in SC and craving some noodles, give this place a try. It's easy to blast by it on the way back from Trestles - make the effort to look for it, it's worth it.

Great bowl of Rame but nothing unique. I can tell they are using noodle and soup stock bought from Ramen wholesaler.

The place is clean, restrooms were tidy, and the food was fine but definitely not authentic which was expected because it's a franchise with many locations. Our server was very kind, he seemed really new and timid but he was very attentive. We ordered a couple bowls of ramen, a bento box, and a sushi roll. After a couple minutes the server returns and tells us that the sushi rice isn't quite ready so it'll be a couple minutes, no problem for us. After a couple more minutes he comes back and seems really hesitant to say what he wants to say but finally comes out with "I'm really sorry but I won't be able to serve the sushi roll or the sushi with that comes with the bento box, I don't think the chef wants to make it." Given the restaurant opens at 11:30 and we were the only customers there with an arrival time of 12:45 I expected 1. The sushi rice would be ready because it was over an hour after opening 2. For the chef to make whatever is available on the menu. My family isn't one to make a scene so we let the server know that it was fine and we would order something else. The restaurant is small enough that you hear every exchange and when our server went back to give our order the two chefs spoke to each other in Spanish and then to the server in english. My family and I are filipino but unfortunately for the chefs in the back I do understand Spanish and all I will say is that they were definitely giving our server a hard time. I try my best to be very gracious because you never know what someone is going through but I will stay true to my experience and what I witnessed. I personally do not condone any bullying and so I really did not appreciate the way they were treating our server or the effect it had on our dining experience. Won't be returning to this location.

The lot was about half full at 5pm on a Sunday. The dining room is small. There are five or six tables, and some seating at the sushi bar. It does have a nice feel with the round interior, high ceiling, and many windows with a nice view outside. There was some light background music playing. It wasn't busy this early, but it started to get busier after 5:30pm. We started out with the four piece jalapeno poppers ($10). These were very good. The jalapenos were crisp, stuffed with cream cheese, with two sauces drizzled on top. I think there was also a little spicy tuna on top. Next, we ordered a California roll ($8) and a spicy tuna roll ($9). These were good standard rolls with fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced, especially for the area. They have a menu of chef's special rolls which sounded good, and we decided to try the Pink Lady (Inside: Shrimp, Crab, Spicy Tuna, Avocado, Outside: Salmon, Jalapeno, Lemon, Soy Paper, Mustard Ponzu, $20). It might seem a little expensive, but it a roll with no rice. It was excellent, and well worth the money. If you love citrus like I do, you have to try it. I have never had pink lemon before. It's still tart but sweeter than a yellow lemon and less sweet than a Meyer lemon. Our server was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. We would return again when in the area. The only downside is that the restaurant is small. If the dining room is full, you may have to wait a while to be seated.

The lady did come back one more time after the food arrived to see if we wanted to order anything else, but we had more than enough! The prices are typical for sushi averaging about 20 per roll. The inside area was small, and the parking lot was on the smaller side as well, but we didn't have issues finding parking at that time of day. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

They did have water for those waiting in line! You can also purchase refreshments from their bar to the left of the ordering area while waiting. I do like that they help you find seating instead of having to fend for yourself after ordering. As you order, they do show you the cuts of meat to make sure you're okay with the amount. Our food came out within 10 mins of ordering. My partner and I ordered 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb char siu pork belly, mac and cheese, beans, dinner rolls, and the jalapeño cheddar cornbread. We loved how tender and flavorful the brisket was along with the pork belly - it was perfectly fatty without it being chewy. Their dinner rolls are small so most definitely order more. I wouldn't get the cornbread again it was good, but it was a pretty standard jalapeño cheddar cornbread. Don't skip the Mac and cheese - perfectly cooked pasta, incredibly creamy sauce! Our whole plate came out to be around $80, with tip $91. We also got to try their banana pudding which was delicious! Lots of vanilla, creamy goodness to top off a hearty meal. Overall, not sure if I would wait 1.5 hours again but would love to come back when the line / wait is shorter. The staff and crew are very hospitable as well!
