10/4/25 Dang! Moon cakes aren't cheap! LoL
Jennifer W.

1/14/26 I've visited atleast 3 times but forgot to drop a review. I'm on a mission to gather ingredients for Vietnamese pandan cake & needed coconut cream, rice flour & tapioca starch, of course pandan extract/color-- is NOT here unfortunately. Might find it at a Filipino market like Seafood City, but Target or Walmart might have it according to google. This location looks a bit more dated but it's fair to say it has my usual necessities (& prefer it over to the one at the mall). I can easily navigate wide aisles, staff are fairly friendly & helpful. I should've asked staff before I went aisle to aisle to aisle searching for pandan. Produce department is fresh & stocked. Everything looks moderately fresh & arranged well. Parking is free & plentiful. Bought fresh shiitake & bokchoy, as well as Thai chilies & long green gourd for soup. Now the mission continues for pandan extract....

I've been to this 99 Ranch a handful of times, and they usually have pretty good-quality produce. Grabbed some pretty fresh looking cabbages. Price-wise, it's about on par with other Asian markets in Arcadia. I always come here to restock on mixed fish balls and hot pot items. They also had the special 99 Ranch tote bags a few times that I came!

This location has been caught price gouging! Beware!

This place is now price gouging so beware! I got a thing of noodles which at the shelf said it would be $2.49. At the register it was $3.69! I told the cashier but because she barely spoke english she didnt understand and said I'd need to talk to a manager, excpe there wasn't one around! There were 2 cashiers and super long lines because they take forever to check people out! This may be my closest location but I'm never going here again.

Making the thin wraps for the Run Bing.

This review is for the hot deli area of 99 Ranch in Arcadia. Not sure if it's gatekeeping but the Run Bings at 99 Ranch are a great deal for the price. All made to order and you have some customizations available. It's like a Chinese burrito but the wraps are made of several thin crepe like rice sheets - also made fresh. Lots more vegetables than meat inside and a large is big enough for 2 people to share. I'd you get here earlier in the day, they also make salty 'fan tuan' in both purple and white rices along with other Chinese breakfast items like Chinese donuts. Quality is good and a bit cheaper than the places that specialize in Chinese breakfasts.

While my BFF and I were in this area, we stopped by this branch to pick up a few stuffs. We were excited to see that they have a : made to order Chinese burrito section. My BFF ordered one with pork to take home. She said it tasted okay (she forgot to take pictures though.. LOL) They also have a behind the counter made fresh to order, bean paste filled pan cakes section! I saw and fell in love with the way their egg tarts look, so I got all 4 that were left. I think the egg tarts were made better than at other 99 ranch market's branches! The crust were flakier and crunchier, while the custard were baked and caramelized better as well! Other than that, we just picked up some Tofu and a few other basic ingredients for our cooking. Had a bit of hard times finding my dried bean curd sticks from alley to alley .. finally found them on bottom shelf! In otjer branches, this product are placed on top shelf. This branch is very busy on.a Sunday afternoon. It was clean and well stocked! Plenty of free parking spaces outside.

My daughters and I had a hotpot to go to this past Sunday. It was at one of my dear friend's house. Thank you for hosting my friend! We had to pick up some hotpot ingredients on our way there. Actually, it was about 25 mins out of our way to my friend's house LOL, but that's okay. I will drive a distance for great eats. I wanted to pick up dessert from JJ Bakery in Arcadia. It turns out there was a 99 Ranch nearby... this location is not the new one at The Shop at Santa Anita. Funny, I pass by here all the time and never once thought to pay them a visit. Hence, this was our first visit. First off, they have a deli area that sells hot foods and surprise surprise, they have custard and red bean obanyaki. My daughters went crazy for them. Buy 4 get one free! Of course we had to get some LOL. Our visit was very intentional so we went straight to the aisles that had our hotpot items such as frozen fish balls, tung ho (a true chrysanthemum I read LOL), bok choy, okra, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, egg tofu, dry egg noodles, and dry vermicelli. This 99 Ranch doesn't seem as big as the other ones that I've been to. Some walking area was a little snug. I wonder if this location used to be another supermarket that was taken over by 99 Ranch. Ambiance was okay. Anyhoo, it was a quick 30 mins visit. Got what we needed and more. Staff at cash register was pleasant. Prices are average. We will be back now that we know they are here. Happy 99 Ranch Shopping!!! P.S. I will post photos later. I have to get them from my computer since they are no longer on my phone. Thanks for your patience.

Visiting during traffic hours can be tough to get in and out. Cornered between 2 very busy streets with driveways into the plaza off both streets. Located on bottom floor in the plaza with waffle studio as corner landmark. Plenty of parking. I'm just guessing sizes...$6 large with ice, $7 extra large with ice. $7 small with no ice, $14 extra large with no ice. - $7 Sugarcane, and kumquat is sweet because of the sugarcane. It's the one of the most popular drinks. So loved it. If I have to order it for myself, I'll ask for less sugarcane cause I'm more sensitive to it. - $7 Pennywort and young coconut comes with small coconut shreds to snack on after AND no sweetener. Most places actually add too much sweetener. I'll probably ask for a tiny amount of sugarcane next time in this to balance the taste out. Place is full of goodies: - Drink fruits to some actually tropical fruits sold here are soursop (I got 2 to take home), jackfruit, kumquat, pennywort, passion fruit, sapodilla, durian, mango and more. - Fridges are stocked with goodies. They were ready to eat, cut Papaya $10, jackfruit $10, mango $5-$10, and durian. $10 for larger box size. Theres also passion fruit in a cup. Because I have a dairy allergy, lady was so nice to offer to make any smoothie without dairy. Wonder what she'll do, but happy to try next time. Or maybe I mis-heard her wrong? Guess I'll know next visit.

It took quite a bit of time, but he was meticulous, adding ribbons, stickers, tissue paper. It came out beautiful.
