Today was a busy day at 99 Ranch. We were able to find parking no problem as someone was just pulling out as we pulled into the lane so we got the 3rd spot from the front and an easy walk to the entrance. We lucked out on getting a cart. Someone had just returned the cart to the front so we snagged it. When we left there were no carts in the cart return so you'd have to fetch one yourself out of the parking lot. The carts that were in the cart return were all locked up so those don't really count. I think it was so busy today due to it's Chinese New Years next week and everyone was stocking up. They all had carts overflowing with goods. It wasn't this busy the last time we came here on a Saturday. The line was at-least 5 deep at all the check stands and they had multiple check stands open. My husband said there may have been a glitch in there cash register system as the lines seemed to be going slower then usual. Today we were here for neck bones so he could make gravy, the one from the Soprano's cook book. He loves that show and has watched it multiple times. I'm not talking a movie, the whole series he's watched multiple times. Now there is a pod cast like thing they have and he's watching that. It's talking about each episode with its back story. They were just unloading a new box of neck bones when we arrived so we waited for them to unload before we placed our order. We got one set and had it cut into smaller pieces by there giant saw they have in back. The people in front of us did the same thing. They actually requested to be cut into 4 parks and we just said smaller pieces. While there we also got a 10 lb bag of rice. We go the cheapest one. 99 Ranch's own brand for $9.99. The rice is short or medium grain so it's what I like. I've been buying the cheap long grain at Raley's so this one should be much better. They didn't have a small bag of Jasmine so we weren't able to get that kind as that's also a favorite of mine. And we didn't need 25 lbs so we passed on that option. We don't have room to store 25 lbs even though it's a better by. We did spend over $40 so we got the $2 script. We went to the bakers and got the 2 egg custards for $6 so we only paid out of pocket $4 which was a great deal Only $2 each. We love getting that script. It's totally a gift and we always indulge on the good stuff. We used to get more script and get their dim sum, but since we don't get that much these days we just stick with the egg custards. I do like there dim sum and hot plate dishes. Last time we got eggplant and Chowmein from their hot plates and it was delicious with the hot fresh crab we got. We had them steam a crawl at that time and it was perfect. No cooking for the entire meal. Now we're home ready to make the gravy. I hope your mouth is watering reading this review as much as mine is. The gravy will take a few too many hours to make, but it will be worth the wait.

I was in the area getting some work done to my vehicle and decided to eat something while waiting. The food court here is self serve for the dim sum counter. The food looked hot & fresh but was only warm when I started eating. I almost rated the place a 3 star but the table area is really clean so that the experience a 3.5 star. As I stated before, I was just in the area and I highly doubt if I would come back. There's other dim sum places that are always hot when I get my food but like I stated before I was just in the area.

Ranch 99 has almost about everything. Love coming here for their seafood. You can ask for crab to be steamed when you buy them live. Saves you cooking time, or you can even buy them cooked. Other than that they have a food court with a few food options to choose from. Love their bakery section. Stop by there using bake good coupons depending on how much amount you spend on groceries.

I went there today to get a few things for Chinese New Year. The line was very long and I had to go through obstacles like for track and field. They put too many things in front and near the cashier. It's hard maneuvering my shopping cart, already with so many people. So disappointed. I'll go elsewhere!

I do love me some 99 Ranch Market as they have the best selection of all of my favorites. We celebrated my Chinese aunt's birthday this past weekend and went crazy with the dim sum, char sui baos, roasted duck, and all sorts of chips and cookies. We also got the die fo whipped cream frosting cake with strawberry cream in the middle. My brother and his family came up from the central Coast in California, where there is nothing like it there and it was a hoot watching him and his daughters going up and down the aisle. 99 Ranch Market was my "go to " Asian Market while living in Southern California and for me, they are the biggest and the best. Clean and organized. All the great smells of Asian culinary delights. Staff are very friendly. I spend $$$$$ there always and bring loads back over the mountain to Reno. So worth it for me. Fun experience, great food. Highly recommend if you are from Nevada and in the Sacramento area. 99 Ranch Market has several locations too!

Store is pretty clean, lots of space to move around and so many choices! I got some Roast Pork from the deli and the skin was so crispy! Also if you like fresh Shiitake mushrooms, it was $6.99 a pound there. We pay $13/#1 in Hawaii. I had a conversation with the lady in the jewelry store there. She and the deli people were all very nice.

I went to this market to buy sone bags of chicken wing. I think they for got to change the price. I saw it $17.99 and i take the picture of it. When I was checked out it is $26.99. That's so scammer. I told them why's the price go up a lot. They said they will go check and then they changed the prices. And they told me they already changed this morning. They are lier.

Great way to start the year by purchasing fresh produce from the store. They give you coupons to redeem at the bakery. Take grocery bags if you don't want to pay for bags.

Yes! They have MOCHIKO flour in 99 Ranch Market. It's also known as "Tapioca Flour."

I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

However, I went with her anyways and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious things I found that are now my regular treats as well as how friendly the staff and other customers are here that it's really not a big deal that we stick out a lot, haha.. Specifically, I found this snack called Khatta Meetha, a very popular "Indian snack mix (namkeen) known for its balance of sweet ("meetha") and tangy or sour ("khatta") flavors" according to Google. So it's like a snack mix made of chickpea flour noodles (sev), fried rice flakes (poha), green peas, and roasted peanuts. The seasoning is what makes it so good, yes, it's definitely the combo of sweet and tangy that makes it so tasty. Anyways, they've got a ton of fresh produce, ethnic ingredients and frozen foods as well as plenty of pantry foods like large bags of basmati rice, giant cans/jars of ghee, etc. I don't really cook so I won't know what to do with any of these food items, but everything looks fresh and reasonably priced. All in all, a great place to get South Asian authentic ethnic ingredients and prepared foods, and the bakery sure looks like a great place for anyone with a sweet tooth. They even have a food truck out front with seating if you're looking for a delicious Indian meal.

In any case, it's a grocery store in the Florin area of Sacramento, and shares the same parking lot as Costco South Sac, so it's easy to come by after regular grocery shopping. Taj is a really good-sized Indian grocery store that focuses on providing what you won't find in regular stores. It's pretty well known for its extensive selection of spices, ethnic snacks, fresh produce and specialty items from India, Pakistan, Fiji, and other South Asian countries. I like to come every once in awhile to refill my spice jars bc they sell spices by the bag so it's more economical and they offer so many different spices! Some popular features that I notice their regular customers really like include an in-store bakery, their sweets section, and food trucks serving authentic street food right outside the entrance. The service is efficient and they always have complimentary chai tea which is nice when it's cold out, and even in warmer weather, it's a nice gesture even if it's too hot for steaming hot tea. The staff are usually busy helping or checking out customers or stocking or organizing shelves, but they are available to help find items and for questions if you just ask. Overall, it's a great and large supermarket that I find convenient for finding specialty ingredients like curries, ginger powder, garam masala, etc for cooking Indian cuisine or to add some Indian flavors to my home cooked dishes. You will notice that I took pictures of unique veggies that are usually not sold at a typical supermarket, and also of my favorite Indian snacks and sweets.

He told me that every Wednesday they get a fresh supply of cream buns, which can't be right at all, considering these were either frozen previously and placed in the refrigerator or they're expired. He proceeded to tell me that the company usually puts them in the refrigerator and he's well aware of the product being very hard and suggested I leave it out for a few minutes.
